I can't find anything anywhere! It's so extremely frustrating that such a massive country's origin is not explained, even on the internet! Someone please help me.

I'm about to watch the movie tomorrow and I am wondering if the movie is boring. The reason that I am asking this is because it's a 3 hour 40 minute movie, probably the longest movie I've seen/about to see next to Gone With The Wind. So is it a borefest, or does it retain my interest. I don't want the experience to be painful.
