3 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agocan you help me with a kitty problem?
This summer, she began to stay outside in the garden all the time, coming in only to get fed (she's about 8-10 years old). She has lived with us for four years now and always preferred to stay outside most of the day if the weather is good. However, before this summer, she has always slept indoors at night, choosing to cuddle with us, at least part of the night.
She totally loves to be cuddled, but will hardly ever want to do it indoors. If I go outside, she usually runs to me for a cuddle. But if I bring her in to pet and cuddle indoors, she purrs for about 20 seconds and then runs out, lickety-split.
What's going on?

8 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoRecovery from childbirth...my friend is feeling debilitated. Any ideas? Baby is 11 days old.?
It has been such a long time since I gave birth, but I believe the best thing for her is beginning with gentle activity. Do you agree or disagree? She doesn't think she can get up and care for the baby much and wants to stay in bed all the time and have others care for the baby. Your comments are appreciated.
I think she would recover faster if she began to be more active. That is what I remember.
6 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoShall I take my landlord to small claims court or threaten him with it?
I have posted at least one question re this turkey.
He physically assaulted my husband and did many other things to make our lives unpleasant before we moved, including calling 4 and 5 times a week to tell us that he was showing the apartment-most of the time between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. for THREE weeks.
Now he is charging us $300 for changing the locks (we returned the all the keys), not letting him come show it 2 times, not keeping it clean once, hosing down our deck once (which was done frequently by others--to counteract the stench of the garbage cans) + he is charging us with the fact that my husband was eating once when people came and claims that there was a 'stench (!!!!??!!!!).
He also claims that the smoke detectors weren't working, that is poss. IT IS A FIRE TRAP.
Oh, he gave notice before the lease was up, which I pointed out and he corrected, but told us that he was asking us to leave because he wanted to rent it to a single person. I was told that that is illegal.
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agohelp with a threatening and invasive landlord?
Our landlord [Mr. G] has been showing our apartment for almost 4 weeks now and its driving us nuts.
About 3 weeks ago he told my husband to rearrange some stuff in our place. When my husband pointed out some flaws and that this place wasn't that great, the Mr G said he wanted to hang a picture [over an existing crack in the wall].
When he came (not to show it) my husband wouldn't let him in and then the jerk [Mr G]kicked him in the gonads. My husband called the police and the cop told Mr G that he had no business telling us how to live in the space that we had paid for.
He calls 4 and 5 times a week [24 hours in advance, like he is supposed to, according to California law] But he says he is having an 'open house' from 8 am to 6 pm, at least twice a week. Then he traipses thru here abo
A few days ago, he threatened us with a 3 day notice of eviction because we left dirty dishes on the counter [no dishwasher] saying we violated a section in the lease [which is incorrect].
6 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoHelp with dealing with a landlord who is invasive and rude.?
The landlord notified us that we would have to move when our lease is up. He gave us over 60 days notice (he was hoping it was the end of July, but he was mistaken).
Our lease is up Aug 22 and he started showing it last week--more than 30 days before we have to be out.
He notified us last week that he would have an open house all day Saturday, which he did. Now he wants to do another open house from 9 am to 7 pm tomorrow (Tuesday).
Isn't there a limit?
We don't want to be around because he is such a liar and he attacked my husband physically (we called the cops--they were helpful) and we just want out and away from the bastard.
At the same time, we don't like the feeling that we have to run away from our home!
10 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoHas anyone heard of an eye disorder in which the focus of each eye is not quite in alignment with the other?
The descrepancy is slight, not enough to be called 'lazy eye', but enough to affect reading. There can be blurred vision and it takes a moment to focus. It can also affect looking through something like binoculars.
5 AnswersOptical1 decade agoDoes any one know renter's rights?
Can the landlord just tell you that you have to move in 30 days, just because he wants to?
Our landlord just asked us to leave when the lease is up. He said it is because he wants a single person here. (in this case it is 60 days, but our neighbors were only given 30)
He told our upstairs neighbors that they would have to move unless they pay an increase in the rent and sign a 12 mo. lease. (She will be 8 mo. pregnant by then)
5 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoIs messiness a sign of ADD?
I have never been able to totally get on top of the clutter in my home. Some times its better than other times.
I was thinking of hiring an professional organizer and I ran across one that said in addition to helping with the clutter, she belonged to a ADD group that she could refer the client to.
I like to do more than one project at a time and then eventually the clutter makes me feel that I can't concentrate.
