Strangely enough I also picked up a Kiwi accent here in Australia and was wondering if it's possible to replace it with a Russian accent since I already speak it fluently?

So there is this girl I really liked but I was being deployed to a war and that seemed to have really upset her for some reason. She was begging me not to go but I honestly couldn't do anything about it. Anyway a couple of months pass and I return only to find out one of my closest friends had been making stories up of how I got shot in the chest and how I'm about to die and a lot of pathetic nonsense just to get in closer with this girl when in fact I had only suffered a minor bullet wound to the leg. So continuing on this girl now hates me for no apparent reason and it really hurts me deep in my heart that I'm being treated like I'm not even there especially after seeing the many horrors I saw where I was deployed. Even if I shouldn't apologise, how should I approach her and talk to her so that we could mend the broken ties and become friends again?
