I am a 33 year old man with varying interests. I have a wonderful girlfriend that I am madly in love with. I love animals, have a dog that is eight months old. I enjoy questions that make me think. I enjoy helping people, and do not approve of people who act like someone they aren't. Sometimes, on this site, I may be offensive or rude to certain members. That isn't my purpose, but if the shoe fits. I am opinionated/outspoken, and respect others opinions as well

  • Escrow agent allowed owner to borrow more against our home than what we owe on it what do I do?

We have a Land Contract to purchase our home. We are in the end stages of refinancing and our mortgage lender says there is a lien on the property title for 22,000.00 more than what we owe. That lien was taken out before we bought the home on contract. Our contract states the owners/sellers can borrow up to what we (the buyers) owe. Our escrow agent says he has the deed in his vault. How can that be true if there is a lien on title? We send our checks to escrow agent on time every month, and they are supposed to be paying sellers mortgage, taxes, and insurance. The pay-off being sent to our, hopefully, new mortgage company says what we actually owe and they are telling us the lien on title is considerably more. Neither new mortgage co. or escrow agent can seem to get the payoff from actual mortgage co. of sellers. Both sides say that they are third party and the actual mortgage co. won't give it to them Says the sellers have to get it directly and send it to escrow who will then send it to prospective mortgage co. representing us. I am completely confused and I hope I didn't confuse any of you whom may be able to shed some light on my conundrum.

  • Is there legal action for a late pay-off from escrow to new lender?

We are trying to refinance our home currently it is on a contract and we are ready to get traditional financing. We still have about nine months left on our contract but we have found a great rate and easily affordable monthly payments. However, our escrow agent whom is holding the contract is not sending the final pay-off amount. Is there a time limit in which they have to do this or can they just wait it out until the agreement with our new lender falls through? In the meantime the escrow agent and the current homeowner/lender still get their higher rates?

  • How can we all follow this?

Science is cool! There is nothing better than when immutable law coincides with there being God. One instance here; Science says the earth had a beginning the Big Bang. God calls it On the First Day!

I look forward to hearing points of view and other immutable evidence of science and God coinciding. My hope is to have us all looking together to find a respectful common ground to meet and grow. After all, we are all searching.

  • contract for deed in escrow pay-off escrow agent and loan officer aren't letting the sale happen?

We have a contract for deed that is set up with an escrow agent. we have been approved for the loan by a leading national lender. they say they must cut the check for the pay-off to the sellers. the secretary at the escrow agency said that they have to have the check cut to them because they (escrow) have the deed I am trying to have the sellers get the check and sign it over to the escrow agent, but the escrow agents secretary said if I do that I will be in violation of the contract. What can I do to close on our home?

  • can you ask to see a motel/hotel room before renting it even after it has been booked?

I have already booked a room at a moderately priced hotel chain and I want to make sure that the room we get is as pictured and not one in the back with a broken window (don't ask) When the room is booked, do they automatically assign the room number? If so, why don't they list that on the itinerary, or is it on a first come first served basis.

  • Spiritual Materialism? What do you think?

Why is it that spiritual people can believe in scientific theory and still believe in God, but Atheists can only truly believe in materialism. Why can't they remotely believe that there may be something more even if it is just for them and them alone. With all their conceptualization why can't they believe or experience some form of supernatural occurrence and still hold true to their atheistic views. In my opinion that seems rather boring. My life needs rational thought coupled with the possibility of mystical occurrences to keep balanced. I hope that someday we all can agree on the validity of any harmless ideology as a way to bring us together instead of tearing us apart. After all, if we all held the belief that we are all here to help one another the world would be a much brighter place. The famous words of Rodney King ring very true "People, can we all get along? Can we all get along?"

  • how can you tell if a coin is a fake or real?

I have a silver dollar that, when it was sold to me, was sold to me under the description that it was 2 oz of pure silver. It is a copy of the 1913 V nickel. It is stamped with the word copy and .999 silver underneath the "copy" on the back side. Nowhere does it say .9999 fine silver. Is it a pure silver coin, or have I been swash-buckled.

  • The first four years of your sons life...?

Turns out just like any other normal boys life. One day you get a call from school saying he is having violent out bursts at school for no reason. Things continue to steadily decline from that point on. His hearing starts to go. You take him to Dr. after Dr., but none of them can find anything wrong. Then his speach and motor skills begin to deteriorate. Finally, a specialist, who runs a rigorious battery of tests on the poor child, arrives with a prognosis.

The doctor says that your son has a disease that destroys the Myelin (white matter) in his brain. A disease in the leukodystropy family. A horrific disease that ravages the brain causing the child to become: deaf, blind, mute, dysplasia, lack of all bodily functions except for a heartbeat. There is no cure, and if he is lucky, he will be dead within 24 months.

  • Potty Training a stubborn 4yr. old boy??

He knows that he needs to poop in the toilet, but he outright refuses to do so. Nothing seems to be working. We have tried being nice and reading to him while he sits there, but he won't go then. He, actually, waits till either one of us are tired of reading, and then he will run off and hide so he can poop his pants. What do we do? It has been going on, like this, for nearly 5 months.

  • What is the title of the movie?

The only actor I can remember is Patrick Swazey(sp)

He plays a father that covers up an accident for his daughter, however, he thinks it was a self-defense killing. He throws dude off an overpass and it lands on another car. There are many separate stories that all connect
