Hey! I'm a Jain and raised in a Jain family, not that we really follow it to the book and back, but I do agree with some aspects of Jainism. However, what baffles me the most is not being able to pray or go near god when menstruating. I know that in stricter families, girls are not even allowed to move from their designated spots and have to be kept away from touching anything in the household. I'm tired of asking those questions of how, why, is that even possible, what does that mean, etc.

My mom says it's because our acidic levels rise and the proof can be found when we touch those Indian fermented pickle jars and they turn black due to the acidity in our body, but I've never believed that nor have I ever tried it. She, furthermore, just said that it's because we release bad waves during this time and that's not good presentation around God.

I, personally, do not believe any of this junk. And I know it's not my mom's fault for believing it because that's how she was raised. But what I really want is to have my questions answered about why it's sooo bad for Jain women on their periods.

Also tell me about mangas that have romance, supernatural and fantasy in them.
