I have studied astrology for years and can understand what planets and houses transits and aspects mean but I don't understand how someone could draw a chart with no computer software. Is this even done anymore. How would someone be aware of where the planets are exactly and signs. I could if I wanted to do a lot of brainstorming and come close to figuring out where the ascendant is based upon the sun sign and dawn being when that sign rises and when the person was born but that doesn't tell me where other planets are.

Do astrologers have to have a book to do this or do they know some sort of cycle I haven't seen that says where a planet will be in the chart.

Example Mars venus the moon or mercury how would a person know.

I can imagine being able to guess with Saturn or Jupiter the sign like for instance but how to know the degree

Neptune is in my 11th house in the sign of Capricorn. i have problems making friends who I can trust and consistently I have attracted drug user type people or people with mental illnesses that want to take advantage of me. Often when it comes to friends I feel like I end up trying to rescue people kind of like the savior martyr type thing. I have had a few friendships that were based upon spiritual intrests like meditation or psychic experiences it doesn't always turn out wrong there but still I have always had issues with people taking advantage of me.

I am Scorpio sun conjunct pluto in Scorpio 9th house

I am just curious I am wanting to really get back at my parents no matter what I am cancer moon as well. I don't feel a strong connection with them. I know this is the downfall of Scorpio. I want to totally and utterly destroy them cause they didn't understand me and I feel they are stupid.

How would a Scorpio sun focus on something else. If anyone ever hurts a Scorpio it is total obsessive vengeance and this lasts for years and never gives up. I know this happens in other relationships as well. I slept all of last night and the afternoon before that and most of today till 10 I wasn't that sleep deprived but before this I was getting up in the afternoon. Ok so is this sleeping normal. So today I got up at around 5am was really tired then went to sleep around ten till twelve got up was still very tired so I slept all afternoon till about 10 pm now I am up for a little but will be going back to bed.

Just curious. My mars is natal libra 21 degrees so retrograde is still loosely conjuncting it. I notice i am quite a lot more irritable and angry since this whole retrograde started.
