Have any of you had this problem? I know it's a problem a lot of pregnant women would kill for, but I simply can't seem to gain adequate weight. I'm nearing my third trimester now, and I've only gained back 5 of the 10 pounds I lost at the beginning. I eat protein bars and vitamins and try to drink enough water to stay hydrated. But nothing seems to make a difference. I'm just not able to put it back on. I'd especially love to hear reassurance from anyone who had this problem and still had a healthy baby!!

I'm starting to get slightly panicked about my inability to gain weight. I was 140 pre-pregnant. Dropped to 130 at lowest point due to nausea and morning sickness over the first 3-4 months. Now I'm 20 weeks (5 months) and I'm only 131. My midwife says I need to get to a MINIMUM of 156, but that's more than a pound a week starting at this point! It seems impossible since I haven't gained any weight at all. I know it increases the risks of having a low-birthweight baby and all the associated complications, so I'm starting to get really stressed about it!

Hi everyone! Angsting throughout the TWW, here! Took a HPT at about 11/12 dpo (yesterday), in the morning, which was negative. Then last night, I had some brown spotting, which had stopped completely by this morning. I'm pretty convinced it's implantation bleeding- So, I'm wondering if that's possible considering the BFN earlier that day. Also wondering how long after the implantation I would get my BFP?!

Anyone had this situation before? How long after implantation bleeding started did you get your BFP?

My husband and I had unprotected sex on the night of day 6 of my cycle, and I am having lots of clear egg-white discharge today, day 10. My cycle is very irregular, averaging 32 days long, the shortest has been 28 days. Is it possible that I could be ovulating this early? I think it would make my cycle 23 days long, which is crazy short! What are the chances that I will get pregnant this cycle? Is it possible I could be ovulating this early?

I don't chart bbt, and I tried checking my cervix but I don't know if it's "soft" compared to normal because I've never felt it before!

My cycles are kind of irregular, ranging from 28 to 42 days, averaging 33 days over the past year or so. I'm generally aware of my cycles and would consider tracking BBT if it came to that. How long should it take for us to conceive? (both healthy, no medical issues we know about). Thanks for any input or experience you can share!!

Hello! Since I got married in May, I've been tracking my periods so when we start TTC, I'll have a good starting point. So far, my cycles have been 34, 29, 30, 31, 28, 42, 30, (and currently going on 37) days long. Does this mean I have an "irregular period" because they are not all the same number of days? Or do they have to be even more irregular than this to be considered "irregular"? Has anyone had a similar experience, and if so, what was your experience when TTC?

To pre-empt some questions, I'm 23 and have been menstruating for about 10 years, so I don't think I'm just "growing into it." Also, I was on BC pills for about 5 years, and had perfect cycles like clockwork the whole time (stopped taking them about 3.5 years ago).

four days late on my period (avg cycle 31/32 days, on day 35 now) we use condoms except when I'm on my period. Hubby and I needed to put this off another six months or so, but I'm still torn! thanks! xx

Feeling just a little pitiful- My husband and I have been together for nine years, only married for six months. We have had lots of pg scares in the past. I was on BCP for the first five years or so, but off for at least three years now, just using condoms. I've been tracking my period every month since the wedding, and my cycles have been from 28-34 days so far (they used to be way longer and more irregular before that). I'm currently on day 35 (tomorrow will be 36) so I'm starting to worry I may be pregnant. I always have crazy sore boobs for a couple days before AF starts, but I haven't felt a thing yet! We have been using condoms (no problems) except when I'm on my period. I'm going to test Saturday morning. I have super-crazy baby jones, to the point of tears sometimes, but I'm in a second-degree program right now for another 14 months (i.e. that's more than 9 - yikes) which it's impossible to take time off from. Totally don't know what I'm asking... maybe, anyone else in a similar situation? Anyone gotten pregnant while using condoms (no breaks or anything)? Anyone else got super crazy baby jones that seem to complicate everything? Thanks yahoo world- <3

Thanks for reading. I'm in the 2ww now and its driving me crazy! I'll be 12 days past the earliest chance I could have conceived, and I think I'm already late for AF (irregular). What are the chances that I could test + tomorrow AM? I have been having more discharge than normal for the last couple days: clear and thin. But no other symptoms of pg; no nausea, boobs are not sore, nothing. Any thoughts? Thanks!!

Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble coming up with fun activities for my 6 year old charge (and his 2 year old sister). We've gone through coloring, painting, board games, puzzles, "carnival games" which were mainly throwing things in bins, and reading books. This sweet little boy is so high energy, I'd normally take him outside but it's too cold and snowy! Any ideas for how to tucker him out without having to play-fight for five hours straight??

Thanks for reading this. I suppose its just a rant but I'll try to keep it short. I'm 21, engaged to a wonderful 24 year old guy. We're planning our wedding for next summer. We've been dating for over six years, and are on the same page with wanting a family when we're both ready. He's done with grad school at the end of this year, but I still have a lot of school left. I have to do 1 1/2 years of nursing school, a year of practical nursing, then 2 years after that to become a midwife. Even if I go straight through... I'll be 26 before I finish my education and can get a job. He'll get a job within the year, thank goodness.

Here's the rub: I have such strong urges to be pregnant and have a baby. I love caring for babies, and have felt like there is a gaping, child-sized hole in my life, even since high school. My fiance is extremely patient with me, especially when I go through phases of asking him multiple times each day, "When are we going to have a baby?" I feel like I can't truly be happy or feel complete until I am pregnant and get to have my first baby.

I need advice! Have other people felt this way since they were young, and was having your first baby really all you thought it would be? Do many of you think that my desire to be a midwife is just a reflection of my own desire to be pregnant? (I know it probably is... but I can't think of anything I'd rather do with my life).

Hi all, thanks for reading first of all. My fiance and I are planning a wedding for late next summer. Our guest list is about 60-70. Very small.

First question: groom's best friend as officiant? We're not church people, we're having an outdoor ceremony, and this guy is a close mutual friend. If he doesn't officiate, he'd be the best man.

I think having him as both the officiant and best man would be too much to ask of him.

Second: I have a MOH for sure but am not sure if I want to do bridesmaids. Because of our small guest list to start with, and small budget, I'm tempted to not have bridesmaids.

Also, what with the groom's two sisters, my best friends from all different parts of my life, I think if I have one bridesmaid, I have to have at least four.

The groom doesn't want groomsmen.

I don't want to slight anyone, and I want to make sure everyone feels appreciated because they have all been so ready and willing to help.

I didn't take the last "active" pill in my last pack, then started the current pack 2 days late. I have been having very unusual nipple tenderness for a few days, and should start my period in a week. How likely do you think it is that I am pregnant? I took a test a week ago and it was negative, but I can't imagine it would have caught anything so early.

I don't often have nipple tenderness this severe, and it's lasted for about a week now.

Been on bc pill for 5 years. Missed last "active" pill of previous month, then started next pack 2 days late. I'm just over halfway through the month I started late. I've had pretty severe and unusual nipple soreness/tenderness for about a week now. What are the chances I could be pregnant and that the symptom of breast tenderness would be manifesting so early? I have taken one test, it was neg. I still have a week until my period should start.
