Back when movie theaters only could hold 1 to 3 movies at a time...how did all of them distributed?
Not every theater could just show the 2 most popular movies then. There needed to be a variety...I'm looking at listings for 1983 and one theater is showing Porkys
Another theater is showingPoltergeist and Dr. Detroit....another theater gets to have Flashdance and Dr. Detroit. How did this work?
4 AnswersMovies3 years agoWhat's the best software or language to create a user friendly program that pulls records and offers the user to keep and edit them>?
The data is in Access and the user would enter a list of ref. #s then the most recent records would be pulled from the ref# based on some criterea.
The user can then go through a series of steps to choose perhaps with a check box which they want to keep and also have the option to edit some of the fields, then save their selections to another dataset. Can VBA within Access achieve this or something like C#?
Programming & Design4 years agoWhere can I find a push button that is not wired?
I want to turn my pc on from inside a cabinet so I'd like a button I can mount to push into the power button on the other side through a hole in the front of the cabinet. Where can I find some sort of button with a spring on it that when pressed will push into something on the other end.
1 AnswerOther - Electronics7 years agoAfter cutting power to doorbell should the doorbell still chime?
I'm sure I flipped every switch in the circuit breaker box which was all unlabeled...but the doorbell still went off when i hit the button.
I want to replace it. If the power is cut should it still make a sound? I don't wish to fry myself.
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoDo I need to do proofs in Operations Research (Applied Math) graduate work?
I started going through the linear algebra review in my text book and there was a proof on matrix multiplication as additive. I looked up the answer and did not understand all the symbols used..I'm not good with proofs. Should I work on this or do I just need to learn how to solve problems and not so much theory.
2 AnswersMathematics9 years agoDo I have to pay the bill I am using my HSA for in the same tax year?
I have a hospital bill from this year. I am going to pay it in installments through next year.
I am putting a lump sum into my HSA this year from 2 paychecks. For IRS purposes...do I have to show I paid the bill in the same tax year as I contributed and withdrew the money. Or do i just have to show I have a bill and it doesn't matter when I pay for it out of pocket.
4 AnswersUnited States10 years agoIs the DLNA and streaming features the same on new tvs and bluray players?
If I get a new blu-ray player with internet streaming and DLNA (so I can play my computer music through the dvd player) is it better than getting a tv with these features? ( I need to replace both)
For example a Sony TV and a bluray player, do those features work exactly the same..so if i get it on the dvd player..i can pick a tv that doesn't have it...or am I better with using those features on a tv?
3 AnswersHome Theater10 years agoWhy does my dog have to stay at the groomer all day?
Why doesn't the groomer groom my dog at the time of my appointment much like when you go to a hair salon? Instead it takes 4 hours usually ..most of that time my dog is sitting in a small cage! I've been to several places and it's the same everywhere I go.
I don't wish to discuss this with my groomer so maybe i'll get an answer here.

I suppose with such a good food you can feed him less so that will bring the protein level down to what I was giving him
7 AnswersDogs1 decade agoIs too much meat in a dog food bad for my 25 lb dog?
My 2 yr old cavalier spaniel gets a good amount of exercise but I was reading that for small dogs those all meat or mostly meat dog foods have too much protein and that isn't good for small breeds.
Are 2 meats at the top of the ingredients sufficient? As long the ingredients are natural and good it's better to have some grains and veggies mixed in right?
I was feeding artemis, organix, but want to try something different.

3 AnswersOther - Social Science1 decade agoDoes the car dealer get a holdback on a special order car from the factory?
I know the dealer holdback cost and the invoice of the car i want.. I assume the difference is supposed to be the operating costs associated with the vehicle while it's on the lot. But the color i want is not being sold on the lots so it has to be ordered from the factory. Does the dealer buy at the invoice price and then get the holdback at quarter end still? If they are ordering this one car just for me? Should I negotiate to 5% over invoice instead of 5% over dealer holdback price

10 AnswersUnited States1 decade agoWhy do my pancakes come out crispy?
I want to make them like soft fluffy Diner pancakes (without buttermilk)
I've gotten them right with buttermilk from scratch but i windup throwing the extra buttermilk out if i don't use it.
So I bought the box mix with dry buttermilk and they come out white and crispy after a minute on one side. I follow the instructions exact.
4 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoCan a rabbit hurt my dog while being chased?
My 1 yr old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel loves to chase that pesky bunny out of the backyard when it shows up. I am curious but also afraid to see what happens if he were to catch the rabbit. Do rabbits fight back? If not i guess the only danger is if he chased the rabbit into the street. Should I try and stop this behavior or let him make a game out of it? (Don't tell me I should protect that rabbit that leaves poops and eats the vegetable garden...they make rabbit traps do they not?)
4 AnswersOther - Pets1 decade agoIs it okay for my dog to play, nip and bark at my waving hand (tail wagging)?
My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - 1 year old rarely barks except when you wave your hands around him. He then sprints away and then comes running back..barks at them , tries to nip at them and then runs away again. What is that? Is he trying to protect?

5 AnswersDogs1 decade agoHow can a hit and run end in 50/50 liability when the at fault driver doesn't report it to his insurance co.?
my car was hit and i called 911 w/ the plate # and filed a report. The cab co. also called the police and their driver denied hitting me. that report never made it to their insurance co whom i'm claiming for damages. they are trying to give me a 50% settlement because they received no statement from their driver who is obligated to report it. Shouldn't he be 100% at fault.
