Hi my aunt needs more income. She is disabled and receives an SSI check of 697 per month. Her rent is 432 and con ed varies up to 120. She cannot walk she is homebound. What resources can she get from government programs, grants, community, scholarships etc.

My Aunt is bedbound and cannot walk. My cousin has to live with her in a subsidized apartment but now that she has a job making 40K the rent will jump to 1700 per month. She has a 20K debt on credit cards due to past medical bills and cannot truly afford this amount. She can afford more like 850 or 1000. Is there a way to lower the amount they calculate on paper like due to care taking or any of the sort? She doesnt want to leave her mother and had several bad experiences with caretakers.
