    Hello everyone,

Can anyone recommend specific places to volunteer at in San Jose, CA? I need specific answers, not something like, "Go volunteer at an elderly home." I need to know what elderly home in particular is staffing for volunteers, and where the home is located. I'm willing to volunteer anywhere in San Jose.

  • (Yugioh) I run a Gladiator Beast Turbo deck and I need to know how to side against Inzektors and mermails?

My deck is a gladiator beast turbo build (as opposed to the slower, trap-based gladiator beast deck, my deck runs only 7 traps). I don't run Bottomless Traphole or solemn brigade. Remember: this deck is designed to have minimal trap line-up and still be effective. My deck revolves around Laquari and recycling cards. What cards are good to fight off Inzektors? It needs to be cards that can flow easily in the main deck (cards like Shadow Imprisoning Mirror slow my deck down too much). Does anyone have any ideas? Also, how do I side against Mermail-atlantians?

  • yugioh question: need trap or quickplay spell card that fits the following basic description:?

target one card on your side of the field and one card on the opponent's side of the field and destroy/tribute both.

Anyone know of any cards that are like that?

  • in Yugioh, what are some cards that return monsters to their owner's side of the field?

I'm building a rabbit killing deck. I'm using 3 lava golem and 3 volcanic queen to take out their dollkas and the like. What I need is a card that returns the golem to my side of the field

  • What do you think are some of the biggest mistakes the average person makes when designing yugioh decks?

Here's a list of what I think are the biggest:

    1) Milling: milling so so last year's tech! Sure, over the summer twilight decks were all in fashion, but nowadays, milling just plain b.s. (pardon my french, lol)

    2) Trap cards: These days, don't bother using trap cards. None out there are worth it. Sure, fiendish chain is the best trap card out there, but it's still just a trap card and is therefore easily destroyed or otherwise gotten around.

    3) MST in the main deck: these days, no tier 1 pro keeps Mystical Space Typhoon in the main deck. That's for the side deck (make sure you have 3 of them in the side deck)

    4) Other targets for MST: using any set spell or trap card is a fool's move.

    5) Too slow: the average person is using a deck that's just waay too slow. For example, Blackwings. Fail!

    6) Field spells: no deck should run these, regardless of the deck. Any deck that relies upon these have huge weaknesses up the butthole (darkworlds included)

    7) More than 40 cards: I don't care what deck you're using, don't use more than 40 cards. period. it's a big no-no and causes far more inconsistency issues than you realize.

    8) Normal Monsters: Even the very best dino-rabbit deck out there failed to top 10 at the latest YCS. Normal monsters just can't do the job. ALL your monsters need to be effect monsters.

    9) Dragons: Dragons are horrible. Doesn't matter how you design your deck, dragon decks just aren't nearly as broken as any tier 1 deck is.

    10) slow monsters: any monster that requires more than 1 turn to pull off its effect is a fail. The possible exception is Sangan, but don't bet your deck on that card.

    11) Set monsters: any monsters that need to be set/flipped in order to get their effects are fail. There are some very few exceptions to this, such as a well-timed marshmellon, sangan, or reaper. But by and large, setting monsters to get their effects off is a bad idea.

    the choices are as follows:

    a) Wind-ups

    c) Dino-rabbit

    d) Hero

    e) Dark Worlds

  • what should society do about pedophiles?

Does it matter if the pedophile in question is female? Or what if he/she has never done anything wrong except look at child porn? At what point should we as a society intervine? In this day and age, it is one thing for a son to tell his family that he is gay, but how can anyone explain to their parents that he/she is a pedophile? Is it actually morally wrong to be a pedophile? After all, it is not a choice or an affliction, but a state of mental evolution. In the case of pedophiles, we have seen that they simply evolve in a different direction from society's norm. But is that wrong? What right do we have as a society to frown upon pedophiles? Is their mental condition any worse than just being gay?

  • Ever wonder what the name of God is?

Often times I have found myself wondering what the name of God is. I figured that the name of God must be the most unique word of all time. But what word could be so unique? It took me two months to figure it out, but I have finally figured out the name of God! Doubt me? Well, here's a riddle for you. Figure out the answer to the riddle and you've figured out the name of God. Here are the clues:

    1) The name of God is a very short word and only one word.

    2) In the same manner that the word "ain't" isn't actually a word, the same applies to the name of God.

    3) This word needs no translation from language to language, as the word is the same regardless of the language (at least, as long as the language is Latin-based and modern). For example, the word "hello" in English is translated to "hola" in Spanish. But unlike hello/hola, the name of God is the same in all languages, thus it needs no translation.

    4) When the word is said out loud, you automatically know that the person who said the word is either stalling for time, doesn't know what he's/she's doing, doesn't know what he's/she's talking about, or is flat-out lying.

    5) Presidents are trained by their speech advisors not to say this word out loud. So are any other politicians who have speech advisors.

    6) If you were to ask any random stranger for the time, the stranger will likely say the name of God without realizing it.

    7) When said out loud, people tend to ignore this word or even not hear it at all. It is only when one is paying extremely close attention does one notice when someone says the word.

    8) Everyone in the world has said this word at some point in their lives (for the possible exception of tribal people who have had no contact with the outside world).

    9) Just about everyone says this word on a daily basis or even more frequently than that.

    10) The name of God is not an offensive word, though it is similar to a curse word in that when spoken out loud, a lot can be told about the person's character.

That's ten clues for you. It took me 2 months to figure out the word that fits every single one of the clues without exception. If you think you've got the answer, send me an email or post a reply here. Think carefully, because the answer is not obvious at all.

  • A dangerous question that needs to be asked: should America declare war on the Saudi Royal Family?

I believe the answer is clearly yes, we should. The Saudi Royal Family has a stranglehold on our economy, treasury, and over its own people. It's time to end that stranglehold. You might be wondering, "But wouldn't that cause an economic disaster?" You mean, greater than the one we're already in? We're already in the greatest economic disaster in our nation's history. We might as well get things done. Let's overthrow them now and save us a whole lot of trouble in the long run.

  • what would you do with $10,000? NO JOKES, SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY?

I know this question has been asked around a lot, that's why I'm asking. I don't want any bullshit answers. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY, NO JOKES. I have developed a plan for what I would do with it, but I want to see what other people's plans are.

    Things to consider:

    1) How would you turn the 10k into more money?

    2) If investing, give specifics. Invest in what? (don't just say "in stocks," tell me in what companies you'd invest in)

    3) would you be content with just $10k, why or why not?

    4) Assume you had absolutely no debts at all. Assume you have no children and no spouse.

    5) How would you use it to better your life?

    6) Would you use it to find a spouse to love or to have family? Why or why not?

    NO JOKES. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY

  • 2 atoms. 1 is missing an electron, other has an extra electron. what attracts what?

this is actually a 3-part question. please answer all 3 parts. Please don't give me any 1-line answers or "I don't know, google it." The questions are too specific for google or wikia to be affective.

part 1) what attracts what? Does the atom missing the electron attract the other atom? Or does the atom with the extra electron attract the atom that's missing an electron? Or does the extra atom simply "jump" into the gap?

part 2) is there any element that is naturally attracted to a different element? That is, is there any element that specifically ATTRACTS a different element, not just has the ability to attach itself to a different element? If so, please give me some examples. I'm aware that hydrogen and oxygen can attach together to form water, but is this attachment a result of attraction?

part 3) would it be fair to say that in general, atoms like to group together rather than stay single? detailed explaination please.

    Thank you,

    Brandon Bach

  • would you agree that america is the most spoiled nation on earth?

How spoiled, arrogant, and egotistical can we be? We are so full of ourselves that we refuse to drink tap water! We are so full of ourselves that we must drink only "purified" water! We are so full of ourselves that we spend more money on "moisterizing cream" than we do on third world countries! (btw, such creams are complete scams) We are so spoiled that there are more obese people in America than in any other nation in the world! We are so spoiled that we actually think it's cool to fail school! We are so spoiled that we have destroyed our own culture and now we're bent on destroying all other cultures! We must stop this now before it's too late!

  • Looking to change your life around? read this?

THE TEN KEYS TO HAPPINESS AND SUCCESS:

Read the following twice daily (once when you awake and once right before you sleep) and abide by its rules, and I PROMISE your life will massively improve!

    1) Speed is a figment of society's imagination. The universe revolves at a constant rate, nothing you or anyone could do will ever change that. SO STOP BEING IN SUCH A HURRY! Take the time out to appreciate life! Read that last sentence again carefully. DO NOT mistake it for some political left-wing bullshit! It is on the top of this list for a reason! Notice how I don't wear a watch! Don't ever take ANY shortcuts. Shortcuts are laziness's temptation. If you take even one shortcut, you will be prone to taking another and then another. Before you know it, you have become lazy. It is always better to take the long way. You will learn more from taking the long way. Life is a race. Winning the race means nothing if you know you cheated by taking a shortcut. Victory is only worth it when you know you did your best and you won with honor and dignity.

    2) Take only what you need, not what you want. The world's resources are limited. There isn't enough for us all. So don't be greedy. Take what you need and share the rest with others who need it! Life is a race, that is true. But it is more of a race against yourself than it is against others. But what does it matter if you won the race when you were in a car and everyone else had to run? Victory is only worth it when you know that you played against their best and won. So if you find yourself facing easy opponents, then you must give them a leg up. Help them until they are of equal match. That is the only way your victory will be worth it.

    3) Money is the capitalist form of enslavement. It has no other function other than to suppress everyone. Let me repeat that. It has no other function! This is extremely important that you understand that, for it is the only way to ensure happiness.

    4) Everything around you is a reflection of you. You unconsciously surround yourself with things that feel familiar to you. In other words, everything around you is exactly a reflection of how you think about yourself. If you want a better life, surround yourself with better things! Note, that doesn't mean you should break rule 2 and buy expensive luxuries. In fact, it means you should surround yourself with things that make you feel good about yourself. The first step to accomplish key 4 is to keep your room clean. Your room/place is your habitat. It is the biggest reflection upon yourself. Keep it clean and you will find yourself to be a lot more comfortable. That being said, you also must be sure to keep yourself clean, for the same reason. The second step is to maintain a strong sense of individuality. The world only blesses the sheppards, not the sheep. Don’t try to be like everyone else. You were designed to be unique, so don’t go changing that! Find your own path and stick to it! Notice how the vasty majority of Americans fail to succeed in life. Why? Because they try so hard to be just like everyone else. So why should you be like everyone else when they’re all failing? It is the one who truly recognizes his own individuality who succeeds in life. Name just one self-made successful person who was “just normal.” Can’t think of one? That’s because there isn’t any. They all have a strong sense of individuality. The more you try to “be cool,” the more fake you seem, and the world rarely blesses those who are fake.

    5) Everyone (yes, everyone, even you) on the planet has a function. Humanity is one big mechanism and everyone in it exists as apart of it. While the mechanism does have a lot of spare parts, that doesn't mean you have to be one of the spare parts! Figure out your function and decide whether or not you want to complete it. You will know what your function is when you figure out what is your single greatest truth for you.

    6) Hatred is the anti-function. It exists only to prevent you from completing your function. It has no other reasons for its existence whatsoever! It is a wasted emotion, so get rid of it! The key to making yourself happy is to make everyone around you happy. Make them feel good about themselves and they will in turn make you feel good. Be strong in your resolve. If you are confident, those around you will be confident too. That is how you earn their trust. Be confident in yourself, your abilities, and in your mind.

    7) Make a definite plan and stick to it. Life is a maze, a rather large one at that. At the end of the teen years, one is given a chance to see the entire maze from a bird's eye view, and given the chance to decide which route they wish to take to complete the maze. Remember, this particular maze is also a race. The vast majority of people don't take advantage of this chance. The vast majority just ignore it and try to navigate the maze blindly. Most likely, if you're reading this
