I moved into my new house over a month a go, my room was painted on the 1st of april and I slept in it the same day with a window open and I woke up with no head-ache and felt fine, the room still had a paint smell and it wasn't too bad. However a month later I can STILL smell it, I have tried almost every different method of getting rid of it but it just won't go away.

What I'm more interested in is if it is going to have any long term side effects on me? I mean, I feel the same as I did before it was painted, so I don't think I have any form of brain damage. I am a bad hypochondriac and I want some form of reassurance that my life isn't screwed up and I won't end up with cancer or brain damage. Any information or advice would be much appreciated. I think my parents used water based paint's but I do remeber my dad asking me to get the paint thinner from the cupboard so he may have used some solvent based.

I accidentally hit my head on the reclining chair a few times from jumping into it, it's pretty well padded, I just wanted to know if any damage has been done? For peace of mind, It didnt hurt at all except from jolting my head a little. The padding was at least 4 inches thick. Thanks in advance

My dad burns old pine furniture in are fireplace, I never smell any toxic fumes, just a wood smell. I just wanted to be sure this is safe, my dad also said the varnish evavpourates and goes up the chimmney so we are in no danger, is this true?

I have noticed in recent week when playing imersive video games such as dayz, my heart rate gets extremely high when I'm around action. I am generally healthy and I do well in cardio tests, but it worries me when i'm playing then when I start getting shot by an enemy, my heart rate rises, I don't usually get scared and it isn't in most games that I play.

To conclude, I would like to know what precautions I should take, is it a problem? I try to calm myself down however it doesn't usually help. I would prefer to continue playing, but it causes my to feel ill and become discomforted, so I don't to risk having a heart attack at an early age. All help is appreciated, thank you in advanced.

Yesterday I took out my Graphics card to access a screw, so I unclipped it like I always do then got to the screw.

I then put the card back in and checked it was in, it made a weird noise, however nothing was damaged after I had thoroughly checked the PCI-E slot and no damage was found. Everything started up fine and all was working. However I un-installed some non-windows related programs then launched fallout, when it started all went windows 7 classic since and I can no longer launch games.

It just keeps coming up with "ERROR- unable to find renderer" which is obviously the graphics card, amd catalyst still detects the card and the clock speed and temperature, the fan is still on. So I guess it must just be windows then, however nothing was deleted and the graphics card is still all functioning as normal although I can't use it.

My graphics card is a AMD HD 6870, all the drivers are up to date according to catalyst, so please help me out. Thank you so much in advance :D

I made a website in dreamweaver and I understand that you have to get a domain name and a host, but what do you do from there? do you upload the files or do you need a program that updates it. Please talk me through how to do it and link it all to my domain name, thanks in advance.

I bought fear 3 yesterday in the steam Halloween sale and downloaded it over night, I installed it all fine and there where no problems. However when I launched the game it black screen and closed with no-error reports or anything. So far I have updated my sound card drivers and I have the latest drivers for my graphics card which is a HD6870 that has no problem running any of my other games, except for toy soldiers which is now working again for some reason. So could anyone please help me out, I would really appreciate it, thank you.

it seems to be the centre of my life, when my parents tell me I have to come of my pc I just sit around doing nothing until my next gaming fix. How do I stop this? the trouble is I really like going outside and doing things but all my friends are like me, if not worse but never want to go out, I had friends that went to the park with me and stuff but we grew apart and no longer talk. I find it hard to make new friendship groups and I want to find someone to spend my half- term with and not sit at home. So what I'm really saying is how can I get rid of this addiction because it seems to be the only thing I take interest in and all else around the house bores me if not computer/media related. I bought a dvi to vga cable for my new graphics card but it's a little to big and only just fits in the small gap between the port and the plastic beneath. This is causing me to place it in such a way that it works but the monitor is pink. the monitor is a Samsung syncmaster sa10, I just needed some help and advice on how to solve the problem, thank you in advance.

I purchased a HD6870 and it came in the post a couple of days ago and I'm bursting to have a go on it, however I only have one 6 pin adapter and I will have to get another off Ebay, so I wandering if this would work or would I fry my motherboard? my power supply is 500 watts and I have a 4 pin and I think a big 16 pin plugged into it if that helps, thanks in advance. I have asthma and I wanted to know how bad they are for you. People at school always spray them even though there is a rule against it, however no-one really enforces it. I know they can lead to cancer and brain damage, so why are people aloud to wear excessive amounts of it just for the sheer pleasure of smelling nice (although I totally disagree) so could someone please enlighten me and help my understanding? I know that if you inhale it a lot it will damage you, however will it harm you if someone is burning it? I was in my science class and I could smell it quite a bit and I felt a little sick, I had headaches earlier so they could be unlinked all together and I ;do tend to have a sensitive nose however I just want to be certain. It was around about 5 minutes, I think it may have been the teachers Bunsen burner or someone in another class however I am unsure, if someone left a tap on a alarm would have gone off and equipment has to be checked regularly by maintenance people so it's safe to have children in the room, so I'm safe right? thanks in advance, I just need a little reassurance.

About two years ago I was at the back of science class and me and a few friends where talking, then someone came along with his scarf and wrapped it round my neck, I though he was just kidding round but about 30 seconds later (according to my friends) I went I stared to fall to the floor then he released and everyone was laughing at me, it wasn't too tight, it just felt like he had wrapped it round and tightened it slightly. I later told my teachers and they where then dealt with, however no-one every took me to the doctors to see if I was okay, at the time I wasnt very bothered and though i'd be fine, I later found out how in some cases this can be very dangerous and I don't want it to have ruined my whole career just because some idiots wanted to choke me, I have no developed a few insecurities from pit and the matter has never really been addressed by my parents, they have the sort of attitude "if your not bleeding to death, your fine!" which worries me, so could you please help me out, I don't feel like it's given me any damage but I could be wrong, and would it have healed by now even if it did, as if it never happened?
