Will a netbook be fine for me or should I get a notebook? (College Student)?
I'm considering getting a netbook (just because they are cheaper and small and more easy to carry around college campus) but some people said they aren't really worth it and I'm better off getting a notebook
All I need is something to type up word documents/ powerpoints, be able to save files on usbs and also have access to WiFi. Can netbooks provide these 3 simple things?
I already have a HP pavillion laptop which I will use for home use (Itunes, watching DVD's etc) I just need something light and easy to carry around.
What you think?
Also which is the best brand/netbook
- Dell Mini 10v
-Samsung n150p
-Acer aspire one
-HP mini 110

23 AnswersDogs1 decade agoI know that this is common, but does a middle name HAVE to be your mothers maiden name?
I was just wondering if a middle name of a child HAS to be the mothers maiden name. I know this is very common in the Philippines, but do you have to. I personally don't carry it and I'm 1/2 filipino and was born in Australia (but going to study here in the Philippines) My Lola said its the law, that you have to have your mothers maiden name as your middle name when you fill out forms etc here, so that's confusing for me because my birth certificate doesn't have my mothers maiden name on it; its just my first name, then a middle name and last name (example Grace Lee Parker)
So yea is it true what my Lola said that by law that you HAVE to have your mothers maiden as your middle name. If I fill out forms here, can I leave it as Grace (first) Lee (middle) Parker (last) or do I have to use my mothers maiden name instead of Lee?
7 AnswersPhilippines1 decade agoHow do you clean up after he c*ms in your anus....?
OK well me and my bf have been doing it for a while now... First we used condoms, then after a while I let him without it and he would just pull out (we use lube all the time of course)... He has wanted to finish in my butt and I know that the chances of getting pregnant are really really slim (due to the c*m sliding from the anus to the vagina) so how do you clean up after, so the c*m doesn't run or slide from the anus to the vagina? What do you guys do it avoid it?
5 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoGetting a phone for xmas... Nokia or Samsung?
Well I have been a nokia girl and all my family have had nokia, but the last nokia I got which wasn't that long ago) wasn't very good and was very disapointed in it. It doesn't get signal (even though it should) and doesn't read my sim card. The battery also doesn't last very long.
For xmas I am getting a new phone and I've looked up samsungs and some look nice and are in my budget. My boyfriend has also had a samsung for years and he has had no trouble with it. It just seems to me that Nokia isn't as good as it used to be.
So what do you guys think? I'm going shopping for them tomorrow!

3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoIs it ok to go years without getting your period?
OK, well I suffer from PCOS so my periods are very very painful- actually that's a understatement- they are brutal!!! I am currently on the pill, which is suppose to help with the pain- but it isn't. My friend has the implant to help with her periods (and birth control), but she said that she hasn't got her period since she has been on it, which was about a year ago. Is it ok to go without your period for that long? What about the 3 years that the implant is in there? What happens to the blood that usually comes out?
4 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoCould stress be the cause of this, or is it something else?
Ok well it all started last night I went to lay down on my bed after studying then all of a sudden I got these really bad head spins that lasted about 5 mins. After the head spins I got really sick in the stomach and felt like I was going to vomit (but didn't). A few moments ago I got the head spins again and after again I felt like I was going to be sick, but when I go on show rides and stuff I don't feel like I am going to be sick....
I haven't been sleeping well- could lack of sleep be causing this? I'm studying for my exams and I'm a bit stressed about them- could this also be the cause of it?
2 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoAre shituz's good inside dogs?
It's not going to be in the house 24/7, just during the day while I'm at school (University) and I live alone. I would let it out for a while in the morning before School, then when I get home for University. I don't have a big yard and I'm not comfortable with having it outside when I'm not home, so it is a good inside dog? Is it easy to toilet train (maybe a big kitty litter box or something like that) and would it shred hair badly? Will it chew up stuff inside the house?
Any other comments would be great, thanks!
oh and just incase here is the pic of what type I'm thinking of getting- not the long hair show type ones....

2 AnswersPhilippines1 decade agoWhy do people bother answering questions and their answers have nothing to do with the question!?!?
I asked about overcoming my fear of guns (my boyfriend got accepted into the police force, so he needs one but I have a fear of them) and I get 4 answers- the following are 3 of them (plus my comments in brackets):
“no, you are right
gun is bad
your boy just crazy, if he want to bring it to your home
tell him that can he left at police station”
(No my ‘boy’ isn’t crazy- its just part of his job ok….. and its not right to have a fear of something, it controls your life)
“hand guns are only meant for one thing and i believe we all know what that is. getting drunk and firing it into the air wildly until somebody 4 streets over has bullet holes in their roof! now, granted he is going to become a police officer it is probably for the best that he has that protection.”
(….. where is the part that can help me with my fear?)
And my personal favourite;
“$100 says that he's a white boy..... white boys only join the PD to beat down African Americans, he thinks he going to be in shoot out's and stuff like that... WELL HE'S NOT!! he's going to be signing parking tickets and other things like that, just make sure you let him know that before he goes and starts fantasizing about beating down a black man!!!!”
(I would like that $100! He is not white- he is Asian and he wouldn’t be fighting African Americans because, well, we don’t live in American- we are in the Philippines. And I doubt that he is ‘fantasizing about beating down a black man’)
So why the hell do people bother? Doesn't it tick you off too?!
6 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoI really hate guns, my boyfriend is getting one... how do I overcome my fear of guns?
Ok well my boyfriend just got accepted into the police force and now he is getting a gun.... I hate guns so much I can't even look at a picture of it! When I was young my father had a gun and well threaten my mother with it, so I guess that's where my fear started....
What are some ways that I can overcome my fear of them?
4 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoWhat's wrong with my teeth, gums?... please help can't get to a dentist for a month and I wanna know wat it is?
Well a few days ago I started to have pain around my wisdom tooth on the right side.... just a little pain and not too much swelling or anything, I shrugged it off. Now the pain is all the time and its swelled up heaps, my gums have even swelled up around my tooth that is next to my wisdom tooth... before I could see a bit of my wisdom tooth sticking out from the gums, but now it is covered because my gums have swelled up! Why did this happen? My wisdom teeth grew about a year ago so why is my right side hurting? I can't get to the dentist for about a month so can anyone tell me what could be the cause of this?
It hurts so bad I'm not joking... I can't sleep or eat
1 AnswerDental1 decade agoWould I be able to cook this in the rice cooker?(recipe included)?
I want to cook soup (I'm sick), but I have no more gas on my stove- so I have a rice cooker or a electric frying pan. The frying pan is too small for the recipe, so would I be able to cook this in the rice cooker?
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large white onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
3 stalks silverbeet, stems finely chopped, leaves shredded
6 cups chicken stock
3 small chicken breast fillets, trimmed, diced
80g egg vermicelli noodles
3 fresh corn cobs, kernels removed
Method
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and silverbeet stems. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until soft.
Add stock and increase heat to medium-high. Bring to the boil. Add chicken and noodles. Stir until noodles have separated. Simmer, uncovered, for 8 minutes.
Add corn and silverbeet leaves. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until corn is cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
I was thinking of doing step 1 in the frying pan, then when its the part to add the stock and vegs, I will just tranfere to the rice cooker.... will this be ok

7 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoWhy do people just assume that we have sex?
Like me and my boyfriend have been together for nearly 2 years.... I just turned 18 and he is 22. We haven't had sex yet, because I'm not ready to, if there was to be a accident (i get preg) we wouldn't be able to support it and ourselves and also i would have to drop out of college.
Anyways people just assume that we have sex because of our age and how long we have been together! When we say we haven't they say we lie! Why do people just assume this?
