If a customer who is abusive has been asked to leave, can the employee use physical force to remove them from the shop if they do not oblige (E.g. Just grabbing them in an arm lock and walking them outside). Furthermore, if the customer manages to fight back, would the employee be able to cause injury to the customer to defend himself?

I'm aware this isn't the best way of dealing with this scenario, but if it occurred, would the employee be legally safe from any charges?

I was attempting to lift a dinghy which had capsized in a storm. I could lift it perfectly fine when it was floating on the water... but it was ridiculously difficult when it had capsized. Is this due to water resistance? buoyancy? some sort of suction effect? Can someone with a good knowledge explain the physics behind this?

I'm doing a creative writing task on belonging and i was wondering if anyone could come up with a decent simile to end this sentence:

"felt like a tourist..."

The purpose of the sentence is to describe the feelings of bewilderment and exclusion that a kid faces going to a new skool.

Just recently, My Best friend and I spent a few days together, every minute of those days without any break, and the last week or so we haven't talked that much. Is this a sign that we r talking to much and he's getting sick of me?

if so, what should i do?

Just talk occasionly to him for the next few weeks until he's had time to have a break???

Also... he's only been my best friend for about 8 months, as soon as i met him it was about a week after we became best friends, we're exactly the same in every way.

I've had a few best friends for just a one year period and then we just start getting sick of eachother. How do i avoid this happening to me again???

i have a best friend who i'm a little obsessed with. i text and call him every day and we spend almost every living moment together. We are very similiar, and very competive people who are extremely good at any sport and are in the top 3 or so for every subject in the school. I beat him most times and he's never jealous. but for some reason i sometimes get a bit jealous when he beats me, but i don't show it. i think, y the hell should i be jealous of him, i should be happy 4 him because he's my best friend. i am a 16 year old male, and my best friend (a 15 year old male) won't talk to me. It was over an incident on msn. He said something that made me feel like an acquantance to him and not his best friend. And i swore at him and told him if i am nobody to him then he can go ................

So he then said he has had enough of my **** and other stuff as well. the next day he said he doesn't hate me because he can't hate, but he said things r really bad in our friendship.

I apologised to him so many times and he still isn't talking to me. i don't know what to do. Us not being friends isn't a choice. it can't happen. i wouldn't know what to do without him and now i'm not sure whether i am without him or not. It's been only 2 days since the incident. but i can't do anything until we fix things up because i feel way too depressed. What should i do. i'm a 16 year old boy and i have a best friend who is 15 (male). We are definitely both best friends but there is a sort of imbalance in the friendship. He is basically my life and i know this is probably unhealthy (although i have a lot of other interests and hobbies). I am not my friends life though, although i'm probably a big chunk of it. Can anyone offer me some advice on how i can stay best friends with him but try to not be as obsessed with him and try not to need him around me 24-7. And also, he doesn't show his emotions to anyone, including me. i know the stereotype is that men who show emotions r gay, but he knows i won't judge him like that, so y doesn't he show me his emotions. Is it cause he doesn't have any important emotions to discuss??? i'm a little confused. But the main thing i want to know is how i can become less obsessed with him. by the way, I AM NOT GAY SO DON'T THINK ABOUT THAT. i just like to tell him everything cause he's always there for me and it helps me when i've got someone to talk to.
