I have a toshiba satelllite when I load my computer after vista welcome screen it will go to a black screen with just a curser and wont load my desktop till about 5 minutes. when it finnaly loads it will sometimes randomly freeze. I lost my recovery disk meaning i cant bring the computer back to factory settings. I am contemplating bringing my laptop to geek squad but before i want to ask anyone if they had a similar problem. Another question.. I want to buy windows 7. can i install windows 7 and totally erase all of vista to possibly cure the problem . please help !!!!!1

I have a toshiba satellite and when i put the computer in sleep everything is fine i close my laptop.. great. but when i come back and open the laptop and everything starts running again my screen stays black? any ideas why? and how i can stop this? when the screen goes black i have to shut it down and turn it back on and its a hastle. PLEASE HELP

ps. the screen saver is off so its not that when i return its on....

Me and my girlfriend have been going out for about a yr and 7 months

for 7 months now i have been fighting with her and its been really hard on me. she is two years younger, im in college and she is in highschool and she still has that highschool mentality. she use to lie to me but still makes excuses about everything. recently her friend said something bad about me. i dont care because im older and it didnt phase me. but i found out that she still talks to that friend and i feel like it kinda disrespects me.. she has scratched me and i have pushed her in the past but that is the least of our problems . she lied to me and i have never lied to her!( being serious) she never thinks before she speaks or any actions which causes a huge fight.
