  • he came back... but what does it mean?

I was dating this guy about 4 months ago. We only went out 3 times and it ended. From the first time I met him, our connection was instant. We were really attracted to each other but he left me confused every time after our date. He'd disappear for a week then ask me out again. Eventually I called him on it. I asked what he wanted from me. He said he likes me and thinks I'm great but he's not in the right frame of mind (complicated, but I understood where he was coming from). I ended things amicably. I told him we can keep in touch. I never attempted to contact him again. He was the one who wrote me a "how's it going" email a month later, then texted me to wish me a happy birthday. Then a couple of months later, he called me out of the blue and left me a voice mail (I actually purposely didn't answer the phone). He wanted to wish me a happy new year and wanted to "chat and catch up" he asked specifically that I call him back. I eventually called him after a week. We basically just talked about what we've been up to, etc. The conversation was surprisingly natural, no awkwardness. In that conversation he mentioned how he has figured out some of his issues and would like to hang out with me again "as friends". He went on to say that I'm such a cool person and how he dated other girls after me and there was something lacking... they were kind of boring and that I'm a lot of fun. Then he said "well.. I don't know if you are involved with anyone.. I mean if you are in a relationship then we don't have to hang out...". I told him I'm not, then he proceeded to ramble on about how great I am.. How I'm smart, funny, fun, attractive, sexy, etc etc. Then mentioned he'd like to go see some live music and asked if I'd like to go. I told him.."sure.. just let me know and I'll see if I'm free. I have no problem hanging out with you as friends." That was how I left it. He called me a week later and told me how he has an extra ticket to this show and asked if I'd like to go (he said it'll be on him and that he wanted to ask me first because he wants someone cool to hang out with). I didn't agree right away because I need to figure out if I can use the car. I told him because the show starts so early, I might not be able to go cause transportation will be an issue. He then offered to use autoshare (he lives in the city, doesn't have or need a car, but have membership to these rent as you go type service) and offer to drive me back home afterwards. I live about 30 minutes away. I told him he doesn't need to do that if it's too much of a hassle... and that we'll do something else another time. but he insisted that it'd be alright.

I plan to hang out with him as friends. But what does he want? Does he really just wants to hang out with me as friends? or does he wants more? I'm hesitant to let myself fall for him again... although I do like him... I never disliked him. So what do you think I should do?

  • Got mixed signals and now I'm confused. Please help!!?

So I went out on the 3rd date with a guy last Saturday. The date went really well and we both had a great time. We went out to a nice dinner than to a club afterwards. I then drove him home, made out a bit, and that was it. I ended the date with, “I’ll talk to you later”. I proceed to send him a quick email on Monday to ask him about his weekend. He didn’t respond. So I was thinking… “maybe he's not interested”. It was his birthday on Thursday so I decided to send him a bday text and let him know that I’d like to see him again if he’s interested. I figure if he’s not interested then I’ll never hear from him again. But he did text back. He thanked me for the birthday wishes and told me he’ll be out with the guys on Friday and told me that he’ll “call soon”. So that was Thursday. I already told him that I’ll be at my friend’s wedding Saturday night so I don’t expect to hear from him. But today is Sunday and still no word. WTF is this? Why the mixed signals?! Why is he trying to lead me on? Is he even interested? Why does he act all into me when we go out (like hold my hand and stuff) and then just pulls back every time?!

Oh and a bit of background, he disappeared for a week after our 2nd date and then decides to reappear again and asked me out for the 3rd time.

  • Do men back off/pull away when they think they got themselves in too deep too quickly? ?

I recently met this guy and we hit it off really well. We've only been on 2 dates though but we made out. I can tell that he likes me as he was giving me this "lovey dovey" look after he kissed me. After that date, he has backed off completely. He never told me he isn't interested...but we haven't talked or texted for about a week. I pretty much just left him alone cause I know if I try to talk to him, it'll just freak him out even more.

So is this normal behaviour for men that think they got in too deep too quickly?

  • Can this be salvaged?

Here's the deal. I went out with this guy a couple of times and we seemed to have hit it off. We enjoyed each other's company and we are also very attracted to each other. So much so that made out rather heavily on the 2nd date (no nakedness!). I'm the type of person that likes to go with the flow, so it seemed as if he's interested so I reciprocate my interest by texting and emailing (not I'm not psycho.so just once a day max). I'm not sure if he's having 2nd thoughts about me or what is happen between us as he is hasn't responded to my last text (he's been sick so i text to see how he's feeling), which was yesterday morning. I know he's around as I can tell from facebook that he has been online, etc. So I'm starting to think that perhaps the making out on the 2nd date was a bad idea, perhaps he is worried that I might want to jump into a relationship with him and hence he hasn't responded to me. I'm the type of person that can take things slow. and prefers to take things slow rather than crash and burn. But now that it seems like he completely backed off, I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to make him uncomfortable by calling/emailing/texting anymore as he still hasn't responded to my last text. so what do you think I should do? wait a week then casually ask him what's up?

  • Guys, what does it mean when you tells a girl she's "cool"?

I went on a 2nd date with this guy. We seemed to hit it off really well. he kissed me and we made out on the dance floor for a bit. He said "you're such a cool girl!" then proceeds to kiss me. Mine you that comment sounded a little juvenile as I'm in my late 20's and he's in his early 30's.but I still find it cute. Anyway, by him telling me that I'm a "cool girl" does that means he likes me for me and not just because he finds me attractive? Or am I over analyzing? The reason I ask because we both told each other we had a good time but no solid plan has been made for the next date. He has been sick pretty much the entire week. so I'm not sure if it's because he's still feeling under the weather or perhaps his feelings have change or maybe he wants me to ask.

  • buzzing noise from speaker when cell phone is about to ring...?

I know that cellphones often cause speakers to "buzz" when it's about to ring... something to do with radio/frequency transmission. However, I'm wondering why does it still buzz when my phone doesn't ring??? is it because someone tried to call me but hangs up before the call gets connected? Or is it from someone that is calling a similar phone number as mine???

  • Public display of affection (PDA), when is it too much?

I know that "extreme" PDA (i.e., making out w/o groping) is inappropriate most of the time. How about if it's at a bar or at a club where it's dark and most people are occupied (or drunk) and there are no kids around ? Do you guys still think it's wrong?

  • Haven't heard back for a 2nd interview yet... is that a bad sign?

Okay... so I went on an interview with a software company and they are looking to hire about 5 people. The company had an "open house" where the company invited about 15 people to interview. I made friends with one of the candidates and exchanged email. I was supposed to hear back from HR yesterday either way to see if I've made it to the 2nd round. I haven't heard anything back so I just sent a follow up email this afternoon asking the HR person to please let me know either way. I just received an email from my friend/other candidate and she just received an email from HR asking for her availabilities for next week. I haven't received anything yet. So does that mean they don't want to see me again? I thought I did pretty well in the interview...but obviously I didn't do as well as I imagined.

  • Cash at a wedding????

I don't have much experience with going to weddings. So I'm not certain about the etiquette in attending weddings. I've been told that some people expect cash to help them pay for the wedding. Is that true? What if the person already had a gift registry, and I already got her something from the registry, do people STILL give her money even though I already bought a gift for her????

  • Another word that means "deserving"?

I know there's a word that describes someone that believes they deserves something 'just because'. The word have a negative connotation... but I can't remember what it was. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Kind of like the word that describes Hillary Clinton.

  • Shoulder pain and over exertion?

I'm 26 years old female that's in good shape. I go to the gym about 4x/wk. I usually go to spin classes (intense cardio on bikes). I noticed that whenever I push myself to my limit (i.e., extreme breathlessness) I start getting these pain in my right shoulder. When I slow down a bit, the pain goes away. Why am I having these pain? Is that a warning sign of a heart attack?!?!!

  • Will there be a 4th date?

I went out with this guy 3 times. He asked me outs the first 2 times and I asked him out for the 3rd date just to show that I am interested. That date was this past Saturday. I talked to him on Sunday already and once again today. Not long conversations.. but short "Just wanted to say hi" type conversation. The last time we got together it got pretty hot and heavy but we didn't have sex (almost, but I hold off). Since this is still new...so I'm not sure about the probability of a 4th date. and since I asked him the last time, I plan on waiting for him to ask me out this time to show that he is interested. So what do you guys think? Will there be a 4th?

  • Should I go or should I not??

Here's the situation. I just started dating this guy (2 weeks), his bday is coming up and there will be a party with 20+ of his friends. I don't know any of them. So i'm wondering what I should do. I know I won't be comfortable showing up all by myself. I'm thinking I'll invite a friend of mine just so it won't seem so awkward and that he won't feel obligated to look after me. How does that sound??

  • Do I like this person?

I went on a first date with this guy tonight. We had great conversations. He was funny, very smart, and seem like an all around nice guy. But I can't tell if i like him enough. as in, I don't know if i find him attractively enough to really like him. He's not bad looking, I enjoyed his company. Perhaps I'm too superficial? I can tell he likes me since he asked me to the movies for sunday already. You know that feeling you get when you're out with someone that you are completely attracted to? I didn't get that feeling. I agreed to go to the movies with him and see what happens... what do you guys think?

  • where can i find a store that sells lithium battery in canada?

I'm not looking to purchase anything online. i'm looking for the type of stores that actually sells CR2025 lithium battery. Does canadian tire or future shop sells it? i can't find it on their website. Radio shack apparently is no longer in existence in canada so i have no idea where i can find "uncommon" types of battery.

  • Should I drink orange juice?

I have a weakness for OJ... the not from concentrate type. I like to have, on average, 1 glass of OJ a day. Do you think it's a bad thing that I have 1 glass/day? Since there are 110cal and 22g sugar per 8oz glass. My glass typically look more like 12oz than 8oz. I would drink it if i'm feeling slightly hungry but don't feel like eating (e.g., a couple of hours before going to bed).
