The lab is to keep adding masses to a spring and find the displacement in order to find the constant "k" in hooke's law. However, when plotting the data you get a better line of best fit if you don't go through (0,0). For the rest of the lab should I use my more accurate equation with a different y intercept then (0,0) in order to get more accurate results?

Later on in the lab we are supposed to use the equations we found to "shoot" a spring into a bucket accurately.

I'm looking for suggestions on good poems. They need to be long enough to do a 1000 word analyzis on (so more then 2 paragraphs at least). And they can't be sappy love poems.

They started when I visited a new city for the weekend. At first they occured with the slightest aggravation of the skin and were very itchy. After two months they only appear when the skin is aggravated (i.e. hard scratching) and don't really itch. Since they seam to be slowly going away should I just let it be or should I see a doctor. But I dunno what a doctor could do as I don't believe their is a cure for hives and usually only anti-itch medicine is prescribed.

between group 14,15, and 16 there is a patern between the boiling points with the boiling point being higher for the higher group- but group 17 dosn't fit the pattern it has lower boiling point then group 15 - why? As well how do you explain the anomalies such as water?

I recently added cyclohexane to ethanol, 1-butanol, and 2-propanol - cyclohexane didn't dissolve in the first two alcohols which is expected since they are polar. But 2-propanol is polar and it dissolved in cyclohexane? why? is it something to do with 2-propanol being a secondary alcohol?

How does the structure of an alcohol affect its melting point, boiling point, and solubility in cyclohexane?

As well why is the PH of ethanol, 2-propanol, and 1-butanol almost neutral if not a bit basic?

I recently added KMnO4 to 3 alcohols (1-butanol, 2 butanol, 2-methyl-2-propanol). the 3 alcohol turned rusty brown meaning no oxidization, 2nd alcohol turned clear meaning oxidization, but the 1 alcohol turn brown and then seperated to a layer of brown and clear, why is this?

*the same amount of alcohol and KMnO4 was used for all 3 experiments
