The laptop was set to shut down and install updates but has been stuck on shutting down for 6+ hours with no sign of anything further happening

I have an Prestigio tablet running Android Jellybeans currently it wont go past the start up screen when it last worked properly there was something inconsistent and it made me tap something that said "i'm feeling lucky".

i've tried turning it on normally and "restart system now" in android recovery mode but it continually hangs on the last part of start up

what might get it working again? i'd like to avoid reinstalling android if possible as there are some files on it i didn't manage to back up

A week or two back i found i wasn't able to watch anything but BBC channels so i retuned my TV and it only found BBC channels nothing else i've done a few manual retunes and it's found some of channels i had apart from some rare occasions where a channel has worked for a bit i always get "service not running" or at best "no signal" what could be the cause of this freeview was working just fine a couple of weeks back

I have nothing save on tablet chrome only a few web pages in history I have a lot of bookmarks on my laptop that I don't want to loose if I log in on there

i linked my spotify to facebook (i've never logged in via facebook) then decided i didn't want it linked so disconnected but my facebook name pic and friends are still coming up in spotify how do i remove the facebook link completely i don't want to see it anymore

when i go to search for myself on facebook logged in (not as myself) or not my profile doesn't show up in the search box though about 10 people with the same name come up when i try to view my page while logged out it says the page is unavailable can i change that

i already use grooveshark web version and have my google account linked to it saved me creating a dedicated login i decided to try Grooveshark in Chrome/app on my android tablet when i tap log in there is no option to use my google account does that mean i wont be able to log in and access saved playlists etc.

on itunes it seems you can only get the 12 gifts if you download an app which i have no way of doing in the past you never needed to is this still the case and if so where do you find them

i plan on writing someone a cheque for a quantity of money i bank with santander the last cheque book i was issued was when the bank was called Abbey would the recipient of the cheque be able to pay it in at their bank if my account details haven't changed just the bank name

i bought an 'all day comfort' bra in Primark unfortunately i found the medium size i got (i'm a 10-12/medium in tops normally) was way too small struggled to get it on/off and it squashed my boobs to nothing so i'm thinking of trying a different brand or a generic one off eBay

are they better than the Primark ones and any good for people who are D cup or larger i don't want to get one and find i can't get in to it or my boobs vanish

the halfords website doesn't say which cars the kit is suitable for and a web search didn't help either i got the Kit when i owned a Citroen AX which i no longer own it's the wrong kit for the car i currently have. just wondering what other cars if any Halfords spare bulb kit 1 is suitable for

i have rheumatoid arthritis in all my joints it's very bad i'm taking methoxtrexate and quinine but they haven't worked on me since i can't have steroids any more i'm constantly in pain and in the mornings i'm incredibly stiff and in pain it takes me around 20 minutes to get down the stairs the same to get up stairs and the same to try and dress my self and i can hardly walk or do anything it's not until about midday i start easing up is there anything that would help me stop being stiff for so long

i wanted to watch a DVD i haven't watched that is in a box set i got as a present i went to insert it in my laptop but nothing happened it made all the right noises to start with then it was making a different noise (don't know how to describe it) and a couple of times for a split second the CD icon appeared next to the mouse pointer then the disc stopped making any noise i tried the DVD several times the same thing kept happening so i tried a DVD i knew that worked same thing happened i did experience this a couple of times about a week ago but the two DVD's from the box set i watched on different days did play

i've hardly used the DVD drive though i don't always remember to remove discs after use so shut down/start up my laptop with a disc in until i remember to remove it could the drive have become broken or are my DVD's faulty

i understand when i want to access the internet or built in apps like facebook twitter flickr myspace etc which connect to the internet i have to pay for mb's downloaded

but if i want to connect to my home WiFi or a free public WiFi network and use the phone's built in Opera mini browser is there a charge for it i've tried looking all over the orange site and can't find anything about wifi fees

if it helps i'm on an old choose your own off peak call plan and haven't gone on to one of the animal plans

2-3 years ago i bought an Orange Vegas mobile phone when Orange were giving away free Skullcandy headphones and it was the cheapest phone eligible for the freebie i've never really liked or got on with the phone so want to upgrade i know i don't want a clamshell or slide type phone but from there i don't know what phone would be right for me my previous phones were both Nokia's i know i'll never be able to afford an iPod phone maybe i should try a smart phone or an android whatever it needs to be sim locked to Orange or unlocked wifi is desirable and at least do what my vegas does

i already have a cooling pad that's only suitable for a table but i'd like to get something to fit a 15.6" laptop that can be used on a lap i've seen some but not sure if they are suitable

since Spotify introduced the 5 plays per song limit on it's free service about 18 months ago i switched to using http://www.grooveshark.com/ which thankfully is free and has remained free you don't need to sign up but if you do you can make playlists earn points to upgrade your account via surveys etc it's great but i used http://www.groovylists.com/ to convert my spotify playlists to grooveshark playlists and there are some songs on my lists that grooveshark doesn't have i would like to listen to them on spotify but i'm put off in case it still has the 5 play limit since i'd want to play them more than 5 times
