  • What does this reply mean?

    Hello,

So, I like this girl. I've known her for a pretty long time. Yesterday, I finally managed to gather up enough courage to see if she would go on a date with me. Her response was "If you go to [redacted] State University, I would consider it." This was after an almost 7 hour conversation with her. (I thought that it was a good conversation too.)

I feel like, that answer means "no she's not interested." It was just put in a way that avoids saying that. What do you think, and do you think it means?

    Thank You.

  • Physics Coefficient of Static Friction Help?

    Hello,

I am studying for my final, but I came across a question that I don't understand.

A 55-kg box rests on a horizontal surface. The coefficient of static friction between the box and the surface is .3. A horizontal force of 140N is applied to the box. What is the friction force on the box?

    a.) 0.0N

    b.) 1.65N

    c.) 42N

    d.) 140N

    e.) 160N

I thought that the answer was 160N, because .3 * (55 * 9.8) = 160N. However, the answer key states that it is 140N. Could someone explain this to me?

  • How to find the exact value of cos?

  • Random PC Stuttering?

Hello, recently I have had a random stuttering issue with my PC. The Video, Audio, and Mouse/Keyboard lag at the same time. It is like the computer is hiccuping. I can't find a way to debug it. I have re-installed Windows 7 x64, De-fragmented the Hard drive, and used CCleaner.

I am wondering if it is a driver related problem. I also have a theory it is the SATA ports. I moved from one and the stuttering stopped for a while, but it has since reoccurred.

    My PC Specifications are:

    CPU: i7-2600

    MOBO: MSI Z77A-G41

GPU: MSI TwinFrozr III Radeon HD 3950 x2

    RAM: 1x8GB DDR3 1600

HDD: 1TB Western Digital +(2TB External) +40GB Mushkin SSD

    PSU: Antec HCG-750 750W

    CASE: NZXT Phantom 410

    OS: Windows 7

If you say, "Defrag your OS," or some garbage like that I will report you as spam. I'm sorry, but I have had my questions answered with crap before.

  • Radeon 7950 Bad Bios?

    Hello,

I was building my computer two days ago and I noticed that one of my two MSI Radeon 7950s had the bios switch to 2. (The recovery BIOS.) I switched it back to 1. For some reason the BIOS on 1 is corrupted, while 2 works. (I have never tried to update it's bios.)

So I have tried atiflash and atiwinflash to save the bios from the recovery bios to the writable bios. However, I cannot get atiflash or atiwinflash to write the new bios. I always get "Failed to Program" or "Failed to Write."

    Please help me!

  • How to Catch a Thief?

    Hello,

    Well, I don't mean a literal thief.

Recently, a man tried to write a fraudulent check from someone in my family to himself. Luckily, the bank knew that the signature was different, and the bank rejected the check. How would I go about catching this person, or at least bring some amount of Justice/Closure to the situation?

    Thanks.

  • Cannot move Mobo From Case?

    Hello,

I bought a Gateway DX-4860 and I have already upgraded my processor from an i3-2120 to an i7-2600. While I was doing this I noticed that the heatsink was not connected using the standard type of connectors. (The holes through the mobo in which the heatsink snaps in.) Instead the motherboard has risers on the motherboard in which the old heat sink screwed into. I need to upgrade the heatsink do to heat issues while Video Rendering; however, I cannot remove the back part of the case (on which the motherboard lies) and I cannot remove the motherboard from the case. I unscrewed all of the screws, but the motherboard won't budge.
