What does this reply mean?

Hello,

So, I like this girl. I've known her for a pretty long time. Yesterday, I finally managed to gather up enough courage to see if she would go on a date with me. Her response was "If you go to [redacted] State University, I would consider it." This was after an almost 7 hour conversation with her. (I thought that it was a good conversation too.)

I feel like, that answer means "no she's not interested." It was just put in a way that avoids saying that. What do you think, and do you think it means?

She probably doesn't want to go out with you because the relationship would not work if there's distance involved... It's easier to date someone who goes to the same school, or someone that you'll actually get to see regularly.

Because she wants you to go with her!! She doesnt want to invest her time in falling for somebody, if she is just going to have to say goodbye after graduation! Go for it, and if this University is one you are interested in, apply. :)

She definitely IS interested, or she wouldnt want you closer to her.
