Is it worth going to college in the long run, when you can just become a police recruit in less than a year? Any statistics or reasons supporting either choice?

After tearing my ACL in my knee, It had been 5 weeks from my surgery and I have been doing great with recovery, then I wake up yesterday and my knee is very swollen and my knee is squeaking like it needs oiled, but there is no pain!
