Good quote for a tattoo?
If you were getting a quote tattoo (no more than 2-3 sentences) what would you get? If you already have one, what does it say? Just curious.

18 AnswersLyrics6 years agoGood Summer Reads?
I d like to read something about children kind of forming friendships and being kids with a bit of a larger theme and epiphany of growing up. I recently read To Kill A Mockingbird so I m looking something somewhat similar in narration but possibly more modern in publication.
If you have any other good suggestions of good books regardless of content feel free to write them in reply. Thanks.
3 AnswersBooks & Authors6 years agoWhy do you think all futuristic novels are dystopian?
Why do you think the majority of futuristic novels (many of which, though not all, are YA) are dystopian? What do you think it says about the current state of our culture/society that we envision the future as a place where children are forced to kill other children and so on?
This is just for my own curiosity; but what do you guys think? Is it because violence and hardship sells? Utopia is boring? Why doesn't a futuristic novel set in happier times make headlines?
4 AnswersBooks & Authors6 years agoBest placement for a quote tattoo?
I'm thinking of getting a quote tattoo (10 words) but I don't know where to place it. I am a woman (if it makes a difference), and I already have a quote tattoo that runs along the outside of my right foot. Suggestions on good placement?
4 AnswersTattoos7 years agoCons of tongue piercings?
I want to get my tounge pierced, but it's something that I would only want to keep in for a few years or so, not for the rest of my life. I know about the after care process, the swelling and what not, but my questions is about scarring. Once I remove the ring permanently, will there be an awkward, gross bump of scar tissue on my tounge for the rest of my life? I know they close up very fast, but do they leave a scar?
3 AnswersOther - Skin & Body7 years agoChanging a quote for a tattoo?
So I want to get a tattoo of a quote that mentions the word "him" twice. However, I am a woman and want to change it to "her". It is a quote from a well known book. What do you think about the change? I don't think it's a big deal at all.
2 AnswersTattoos7 years agoTattoo idea help?
So I'm from Canada and I want to get "True North" on me somewhere. I was trying to figure out an image to go with it, but I do NOT want a compass. Something to do with direction possibly though. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
3 AnswersTattoos7 years agoTipping a tattoo artist?
I know this question is asked almost daily on this forum but I still feel like no one has a real idea of what to tip a tattoo artist. I have an appointment for 3 weeks from now and the tattoo will probably be around $100-$150 dollars. So what do I tip the artist? Like $20? Also I think it's important to note that he's opening the shop early just for me so I feel like I really should cheap out on the tip. Someone help me out here.
3 AnswersTattoos7 years agoArabic speakers please help?
Can someone who speaks Arabic please tell me what this symbol means? Both the big one and the tiny one under it. Are they both part of one meaning? Thank you.
2 AnswersLanguages7 years agoHelp finding the right word/synonym?
I want to say "I have had a thousand adventures" but I'm looking for a better word than "had". Any ideas of what can go in its place? Nothing I can think of has the effect that I want. I want something along the lines of "experienced" but I don't think that flows well. All suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
3 AnswersWords & Wordplay7 years agoNovel about a fox and a boy?
About 10 years ago an elementary school teacher read my class a novel and for the life of me I can't remember what it was called. It was about a boy who was about 10 years old whose father is trying to teach him the family business of hunting and trapping, but the boy is very uncomfortable with it all. One day when checking the traps the boy finds that a silver fox has been trapped. The boy wants to let the fox go free, but he simply can't. The fox stays trapped for a few days, chewing at his leg in an attempt to get free, and the boy tries desperately to get the fox free. However, in the end the boy chooses to shoot the fox in order to put it out of its misery since he cannot get it free.
If anyone knows the title or author of this book I would appreciate it. Thanks!
1 AnswerBooks & Authors7 years agoBlack Dot-work Tattoos?
I have been looking into getting a dotwork tattoo and I am just curious as to whether or not they hold up well over time. Does anyone have any experience with them? WIll they maintain a clear image after 20 years?
In case you don't know what dotwork tattoos are, this is an example: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/536069161867330267/
3 AnswersTattoos7 years agoDo you like this tattoo design?
I wanted to know if you like the font of this tattoo and if anyone out there knows the name of it. I'd love to use it for my next tattoo. If you don't know the name of this one specifically, but one of a similar long, flowing style, I'd appreciate that too. Thanks.
5 AnswersTattoos7 years agoDon't know how to make an appointment for a tattoo?
I want to get a tattoo of some lettering on the back of my thigh and I've picked out the font and everything so now all I need to do is print it out and take it to an artist. Here is my question: do I make a consultation with an artist even if there is nothing for him/her to draw? That seems kind of pointless to me. Do I make the appointment and tell the studio ahead of time that it is a simple design and let them pick the artist for me? I don't want to go to a street shop that does walk-ins because they don't seem quite as professional to me but I also don't want to wait for 6 months. Also, will shops that usually have waiting lists even take an appointment for such a simple tattoo? Any advice would be great.

Do you think that thigh tattoos on women look best on the very top of the thigh or on the side?
2 AnswersTattoos7 years agoWould you consider this tattoo offensive?
I have been recently playing with the idea of getting a tattoo that represents the Native American culture, as I am from Canada and have always been fascinated by and appreciative of the Native American way of life that is abundant in my province. However, I myself am not Native, and when looking around online, I saw many people claim that getting a Native inspired tattoo would be offensive to people who are. Of course I would never want to offend their culture as I appreciate it so much, which is why I have since decided to look for something else to have tattooed, but I'm curious: would you find it offensive? Is it really that different from a black man getting a tattoo of a white pin-up girl, or a white girl getting Asian inspired characters or Japanese-style images? What are your thoughts?
7 AnswersTattoos7 years agoEminem new song "Rap God"?
In Eminem's new song he references Columbine again. I just wanted to know what the original referance he made in "I'm Back" really meant. Was he being critical of Middle America ignoring the problem of bullying? I really like Eminem but don't quite get why he'd say such a thing.

I am looking into getting an 11" Macbook Air for university. The main function I need to get out of it is its note-taking ability. Is it possible to use google drive on a macbook? Is it possible to use microsoft word on a macbook? Thank you in advance.
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks8 years agoFoot Tattoo vs Thigh Tattoo?
Which placement do you think is better with regards to a color tattoo holding up over time? The tattoo will probably have quite a bit of white. I want the tattoo on the top of my foot, but then thought that shoes/socks would cause lots of fading. However, I doubt that a thigh tattoo with skinny jeans/leggings would be any better. What is your opinion? PS I already have a tattoo on my other foo that is just black lettering and so far the black is holding up really well and is still pretty dark. Also, future employment is also a factor, but I figure womens stockings should help cover a foot one no problem, because I don't want it to be too big.
