Anybody get a birthday spanking from parents as an adult?
I remember for my 21st birthday years ago, Mom wanted to give me a birthday spanking. She got a few licks in but I backed away and chickened out before she could finish.
How about the rest of you? Any of you get a birthday spanking from parents as an adult.
1 AnswerOther - Holidays1 month agoWhat could be some songs that describe being a ladies man?
I've tried looking it up on Google. I can't seem to find any songs that could describe a guy who's a ladies man. Does anybody know any songs that might fit that mold?
3 AnswersLyrics2 years agoGuiding Light fans: Eve Guthrie and Ed Bauer vs. Annie Dutton and Alan Spaulding. Which was the better couple?
Ed/Eve and Annie/Alan were both popular couples on Guiding Light.
Similarities:
1.) Both involved a woman in need of emotional support.
2.) Both were nearly destroyed by their obsessions with other guys, Eve with Nick, Annie with Josh.
3.) Ed and Alan both attempted to help Eve and Annie get their lives back on track.
4.) Both relationships featured a middle-aged man and a younger woman.
5.) Both got engaged only for neither marriage to come to fruition. Ed/Eve due to illness, Annie/Alan due to Annie's marriage to another man.
I thought both couples were great, but I liked Ed/Eve better because Ed had more of a positive impact on Eve.
Which do you believe was the better couple?
3 AnswersSoap Operas2 years agoWhat if Laura Winslow hadn't accepted Steve's marriage proposal?
In the third to last episode of Family Matters, Laura accepts Steve's marriage proposal. Before she told him this, however, he was all packed up and ready to move away to Russia, believing that Stefan would be a better husband than him.
Now, what if Laura had accepted Stefan's proposal instead? One scenario could be Laura accepting Stefan's proposal and Steve planning to move away.
When Steve gets to the airport, however, Myra shows up to stop him from moving away forever by reminding him of how special he is and how much she loves him. Moved by her words, Steve decides to stay and resumes his relationship with Myra. That could have definitely been a happy ending.
2 AnswersComedy2 years agoRemember when CBS showed Major League Baseball in the early 1990s?
In 1988, CBS finished in last place and was looking to get themselves out of the slump that they had gotten themselves into.
They decided that sports would be a very powerful tool to put CBS back on the map so they paid a huge sum of money to broadcast Major League Baseball. As many people know, CBS' baseball deal flopped and the deal only lasted for a few years.
Why do you suppose the deal flopped? Was it because CBS spent too much money for one sports package? There could be many reasons the CBS baseball deal flopped.
2 AnswersBaseball3 years agoWith the Rural Purge of the 1970's, why did CBS and NBC create The Waltons and Little House On The Prairie respectively?
As some of you may know, at the beginning of the 1970's, many rural and country themed TV shows were taken off the air despite their popularity. This has come to be known as the Rural Purge, as audiences and networks were eager for a change in television shows.
However, while networks cancelled a lot of their rural programming, CBS and NBC both created new rural shows in The Waltons and Little House On The Prairie.
Don't get me wrong, both are classics, but why did they create these shows if they were ready for a new era in television? Was it to appease disgruntled viewers of those rural shows? Could CBS and NBC have maybe still wanted something that would still appease these audiences?
I guess there's many probabilities. TV's a business that wants to keep all it's audiences happy. And like I said, both shows are beloved classics in television.
2 AnswersDrama3 years agoWhy was David Letterman never able to beat Jay Leno in the ratings?
In 1993 Letterman moved to CBS after being passed over The Tonight Show. Initially, he had a firm lead over Leno in the ratings. But an appearance by Hugh Grant helped shift the momentum over to Leno.
Now, I know Letterman bore some of the brunt of CBS' loss of the NFL, and in the process, affiliates. However, CBS eventually reacquired NFL rights and returned to prominence. Would anyone else be surprised that CBS' return to prominence and strong lead-ins weren't able to help Letterman reclaim his ratings dominance?
For example, NBC was a dominant network for much of the 1990s. Many cite this as part of the reason why Leno was able to eventually nose ahead.
Shouldn't CBS' resurgence in the 2000s, along with strong prime time lead-ins been able to help Letterman like NBC's dominance helped Leno in the 1990s?
3 AnswersTalk Shows4 years agoJay Leno being pursued by CBS at the beginning of the 1990s?
As most people know, as Johnny Carson neared retirement, there was an all out late-night war to see who would succeed him between Leno and David Letterman.
It all began when CBS cancelled The Pat Sajak Show. The network smelt blood in the water as they realized that NBC had two young and popular comedians: Jay Leno, who at the time was Carson's permanent guest host, and David Letterman, who hosted the show right after Johnny's every weeknight. They realized that only one of them could be rewarded.
They first pursued Leno, offering him an 11:30PM show that would compete directly with Carson's show.
NBC executives were filled with anxiety when they found out that CBS was knocking on Leno's door and NBC signed him to take over whenever Carson left.
By this point, NBC was also concerned about the fact that although Carson's ratings were still excellent, he was attracting mostly older viewers, as opposed to the younger viewers that advertisers desire.
As everybody knows when Leno was signed to be next in line to take over the show, Letterman felt snubbed and moved to CBS and the rest is history.
2 AnswersComedy4 years agoRemember when Paul Heyman gave a famous shoot about JBL years ago?
It was at ECW One Night Stand in 2005 and Heyman was confronting the WWE roster. He got to JBL and basically told him that his reign at the top only lasted so long because Triple H didn't wanna wrestle on his show. Heyman brought up a good point, as SmackDown didn't have the same kind of talent that Raw did.
Having said that, do you think outside of kayfabe, they were considering moving Triple H to SmackDown in 2004 and he decided he wanted to stay on Raw?
4 AnswersWrestling4 years agoRemember when Chris Jericho faced The Legacy in a rare heel vs. heel match a few years ago?
It all started in the summer of 2009 when SmackDown GM at the time, Teddy Long, was desperate to do something innovative in order to save his job. He reluctantly inserted Edge and Chris Jericho into the Unified Tag Team Championship Match just as the ref was about to ring the bell to get the match underway. Neither of the other tag teams (The Colons and The Legacy) were happy about Long's last second addition to the match. Edge and Chris Jericho go on to win the match and the titles, leaving both tag teams disappointed at the loss.
About a week later, it was announced that Legacy would be getting another opportunity as they were booked to face Edge and Chris Jericho for the belts at Night of Champions. Unfortunately, Edge got injured and it became apparent that he wasn't going to make it to Night of Champions. Legacy believed that the fact that Edge was injured and Jericho was all alone put the ball in their court.
When it came time for the match, Jericho had a surprise for Legacy in the form of Big Show. Big Show and Jericho go on to win the match, leaving Legacy angry because their plans to become the Unified Tag Team Champions were once again thwarted by a last second surprise.
It was just interesting to see a heel vs. heel match since we don't see them very often.
2 AnswersWrestling7 years agoIs it me or were Carlton Banks and Steve Urkel similar characters?
It seems like Fresh Prince's Carlton Banks and Family Matters' Steve Urkel were somewhat similar characters.
Here's some similarities:
1. They were both outlandish, bizarre characters.
2. They were both highly intelligent
3. They both found ways to annoy those around them
4. Both characters had different taste in music than other people their age.
What do you all think? Did you find Steve and Carlton to be similar characters?

2 AnswersComedy10 years agoWill Leno and Letterman ever make up?
I was watching clips on YouTube from Late Night With David Letterman from the 1980's. It seems as if Jay Leno was a frequent guest on the show. It seems like Jay Leno and David Letterman use to be such good friends. Then when Johnny Carson retired, Leno and Letterman went from being friends to bitter rivals. Do you think they'll ever make up with each other?

2 AnswersComedy1 decade agoWho's ever been spanked on their birthday?
I got my first birthday spanking a few weeks back for my 20th. My family had taken me to Hooters and I was brought to the middle of the restaurant. I was spanked with a wooden paddle. Then for the last one everyone spanked. It was fun!
Has anyone else ever been spanked on their birthday? Whether it be by friends, family, etc.
4 AnswersFamily1 decade agoWho's your favorite NFL football team and why?
I have two. I like the San Francisco 49ers and the Chicago Bears.
I like the San Francisco 49ers because they're the closest football team to Humboldt County, where I lived as a little boy, and also because of everything they've accomplished in their history, like winning five super bowls.
I like the Chicago Bears because of everything they've done. They've won nine championships, had twenty-six players sent to the Hall of Fame, and even had a great season in 1985, losing only one game all year.
30 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoWhat were your favorite episodes of Family Matters?
My favorite episodes include:
1. The one where Steve stands up to the school bully and fights him in the boxing ring. It showed Steve was more than an annoying, clumsy, nerd. He had the guts to stand up for what's right, even if it meant risking his physical well-being.
2. The one where Urkel and Myra end up on Paradise Bluff. It's here when Steve begins to realize that no matter what he does, no matter how hard he tries, it doesn't look like Laura's going to return his affection.
3. The one where Waldo joins the army after being called an idiot. There were a lot of laughs, including where Eddie tells the Sarge that Urkel irritates everyone.
