  • Helping my granddaughter with algebra and stuck..?

The problem and work so far:

    ( 2 - a^2 / a^2 + a ) + ( 3a + 4 / 3a + 3 )

    ( 2 - a^2 / a^2 + 3a + 3 ) + ( 3a + 4 / a^2 + 3a + 3 )

    2 - a^2 + 3a +4

    -----------------------

    a^2 + 3a + 3

    6 - a^2 + 3a

    ---------------------

    a^2 + 3a + 3

    2 - a^2 + 3a

    ------------------

    a^2 + 3a + 3

    -a^2 + 3a +2

    --------------------

    a^2 + 3a + 1

And that's as far as we got. Is there a mistake somewhere? I don't know how to get the correct answer out of the last equation--it's been quite a while since I've done algebra so what is it that I forgot?

    The correct answer is:

    2 ( a + 3 )

    ------------------

    3a ( a + 1 )

    Thanks for any help....

  • Tax cuts for the wealthy was to create jobs? Where the hell are the jobs?

We were told the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy would create jobs. That has been a Republican mantra and still is but after 10 years of this policy, where the hell are the jobs?

Hint: China, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, etc.

  • Flipped the circuit breaker, why don't the lights come bank on?

Last night all the electricity went out in the bedrooms and everything else was OK. At the circuit panel one button was halfway off so I flipped it. Nothing. I tried again and again. Then I flipped all the circuit breakers off and on many times without luck. Tried again this morning, again nothing. I am clueless. What else can I do?

  • What critter would take bear scat (poop) ?

I don't know where to post this question since there is nothing on wild animals in yahoo answers...

I found some bear scat a couple of feet from the stairs in the back yard garden area. The next day, the scat was on the 6th stair that leads to the rest of the back property. It was moved about 10 feet or so. Then on the third day, the scat was gone. What critter would take bear poop to eat it or what?

I have a domestic house cat but I don't think the kitty would do such a thing but don't know for sure. There are small lizards and frogs/toads but the scat was twice their size and probably not them.

I saw a opossum that lives in the front yard and there are squirrels everywhere so is it possible one of those critters moved the scat?

I also live in an area where there are mountain lions and is taking bear scat something that animal would do?

Any other ideas or first hand knowledge of critters that would want the bear scat?

  • The dryer still heats up but takes a long time to dry. What might be the problem?

The dryer is electric and only two years old. It started not drying as well before moving so it's not a clogged vent and must be something in the dryer itself. What should I check and what should I look for??

If you need more info, just ask....
