What are Cashmere and Titanium?
I am looking to replace my sun visor because it won't stay up. I heard something snap inside. When I look for replacement parts, they list Cashmere and Titanium. I assume these are colors. How do I figure out which one I have now please?
If it makes a difference, this is for a 2009 Saturn Vue.
Thanks.
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoWhat is the screw adjustment on side of Blue Rhino propane valve?
There is a small screw on the side of the valve on my Blue Rhino propane tank. I'd like to know what it is. I have read a lot of information about the OPD valves. I don't need an explanation of that. I also know there is an excess flow cut-off valve. I just want to know what the little screw is for. It looks like some kind of adjustment. It says not to adjust, so I'm not going to. I assume it is for Blue Rhino to adjust something. I'm just curious to know what it is.
I found this useful description about the valve:
http://www.propane101.com/opdcylindervalves.htm
but it does not mention the screw although you can sort of see it in the photo there.
Thanks!
1 AnswerDo It Yourself (DIY)8 years agoCan I keep second mortgage when first paid off?
This questions applies to my primary residence. It's the only house I own.
The balance on my first mortgage (with Green Tree mortgage company) is quite a bit lower than my second mortgage (home equity line of credit through credit union if that is important). I'm wondering what happens to the second mortgage if I pay off the first mortgage completely. The "second" mortgage would become the only loan at that point. But the credit union does not do first mortgages. I suspect the are not allowed to by law. Would I then have to take a new first mortgage with some lender and pay down the second mortgage. Or would I be allowed to keep the second mortgage even though there is no longer a first?
If it makes a difference, I live in California.
Thanks.
4 AnswersRenting & Real Estate8 years agoWhy is my air conditioner causing the HOUSE breaker to trip after several hours?
It's been hot for several days. Mid-90's. We've been running the central air conditioner a lot. After several hours, the 100 amp house breaker trips. I turn off the AC and reset the breaker and everything is fine. I don't turn on the AC for a while just in case. Later, I turn it on and get a few more hours of cooling before the house breaker goes again. We're not operating lots of other things, just a few lights, computers and the refrigerator. There is a separate pair of 20 amp breakers for the central air unit, so if it's pulling more than 40 amps it should trip that. I can't imagine the rest of the house is anywhere near 60 amps. No other breakers are tripping either. It's weird. No, I don't smell burning or anything. Any ideas? Do circuit breakers get "weak"?
6 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoPilot light will not stay lit on gas water heater?
I have a problem relating to my natural gas water heater. The pilot light will not stay lit.
I called the water heater company (American Water Heater) because the water heater is three years old and has a 12-year guarantee. They had me diagnose the system first.
I checked the voltage on the thermocouple, and it went up to 16 mV. The company told me it needs to be at least 12 mV, so that's OK. We then checked the thermal switch by bypassing it and connecting the leads together. No change. The pilot light still went out immediately when released after being held for a minute or so. They decided it must be the thermostat, so they sent me a new one (free except I had to pay $30 shipping).
I just got finished installing the new thermostat to try and solve the problem, but the pilot light still does not stay lit. The company's technical assistance line is not available at this time of night, so I'm asking for suggestions please.
About all I can think is that the thermocouple connection is not making good electrical contact with the thermostat unit, or that perhaps it is shorting out somehow when it is installed, but not when it is unscrewed.
A little more background in case it holds any clues.
The problem with the pilot light started abruptly a few days ago. The hot water started getting colder. I checked and the pilot light was out. I re-lit it, but it would not stay lit. I held the red pilot light button for several minutes to be absolutely sure the thermocouple was hot enough, but as soon as I let go, the flame went out.
This water tank uses their "Flame Guard" system, which means that the pilot light is not easily accessible. You can see it through a small window. It uses a piezoelectric device to make a spark to ignite the gas.
Thanks
