I would like to know if there are any credentials that I can obtain, or training that can give me the credentials I need. What I want to know is if there is a list of computer courses I should take to give me more credentials?

I am considering to become a patent agent. I have a BS in Material Engineering and a MS in Mechanical Engineering. I found patent law very interesting after studying how to file my own patent. I would like to know what is a patent agent do? Do you work in a law firm or do you work on your own? How well do patent agents get paid?
