My girlfriend and I are both considering the possibility of teaching high school. I'm wondering if a school board would be okay with two of their teachers being married to each other. Like, a married couple teaching different classes at the same school. Or if they'd be okay with one of us teaching full time and the other working in the same school as a substitute teacher.

One other thing I'm worried about. We're both girls. I know this varies a lot by which state you live in and the political climate around there, but would a school be less willing to let a lesbian couple teach than a straight couple?

I was driving my car tonight, about halfway up a hill, when it seemed to shift gears at an odd time. It's automatic, so it didn't bug me much, but a few seconds later the battery and oil lights went on and I realized the gas pedal wasn't working. So I coasted to the side, turned it off and tried to turn it over. The battery worked great, and the engine turned over, but the car wouldn't start. I'm going to take another look at it tomorrow, but what could i do to fix this?

I don't think it's the spark plug. It was raining mildly, but it broke down before I stopped it. I refueled a few days ago, so that's not the problem, unless the pump is broken somehow. If that's the case, how would I identify/fix that? It had a very squeaky belt, but I didn't hear any kind of a snap. Could the belt be the problem? It's a 1999 Hyundai Sonata. Thanks!

I just got a car used from my brother in law and it's in decent condition. It was snowing today, so I rolled the windows down and back up to get the snow off, but the rear passenger side won't go up. The switch clicks like normal, but the motor doesn't turn on. It goes down perfectly. So it's obviously a problem with the connection somewhere, but everywhere I see says that the switch isn't the problem if it clicks right, which it does.

So I took the switch apart myself just in case and looked at it. I didn't see anything wrong, so I put it back together and now only the driver's window works. That's fine with me, I'd only ever roll down the window to talk anyway, but I'd really like to get the back window up at least. If anyone knows how to fix this, what the problem is, or even just how to raise the window without the motor it'd be great. thanks!

Filling out a rental application and I'm not sure how to answer this one. I have no debts or loans if that's what it's asking, and all my bank accounts are positive.

Just an idea for a movie. One person puts the back of a slide-action gun like the desert eagle against the other person's temple and fires. How much damage would that do? Just approximately. Would it make a difference if the gun was firing real bullets or just blanks?

I ordered something off ebay last week and I've tracked it. It's right now at the post office, I'm pretty sure, but the mail has already been delivered to my house today. That means it's almost definitely going to be delivered to my house tomorrow while I'm gone. Today's my only day off work this week, and I was hoping to get to use it before Sunday, so is there any way to pick it up from the post office tonight, before it's supposed to be delivered?

I'm playing an RPG, and my power is to teleport at will. I'm wondering, how could I get lots of money without having my powers detected. And there's one catch: I have to have seen the area in motion before teleporting there (seeing a short clip of an area would allow access, but a still picture wouldn't). So, how could I get lots of money? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I'm looking for a really easy way to make a web based program with no programming skills. I want something to handle buttons that execute an action, drop down selections that use variables as the options, check boxes, text input boxes (both scrolling and non scrolling), scrolling text boxes without input, and multiple choice buttons. It also needs to save all variables to a file and have support for image based buttons. If anyone can suggest a visual programming software with support for web development that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'm running Clonezilla on my second laptop to connect to my first laptop running Windows 7. I have an image file on the Z: partition of my first laptop. I go through the Clonezilla stuff just fine until after I select static IP. Here's what I get:

I select static IP address

Default Gateway : 192.168.0.254 -This is the default option. Should I change this?

Nameservers : 192.168.0.254 -Again default. Should I change this?

IP address of the server: 192.168.0.1 -IP address of the hosting laptop.

"Domain in the samba server, You can cancel this if no doman is set in the Samba server" -I assume I should just click cancel

Account in server, the account you gave permission to write (for saving image) or read, Ex administrator -*I gave permission to Everyone. Should I type in everyone here?*

The directory where Clonezilla image will be saved to or read from, Ex /images - I really don't know what to put here. I just want to share it via Windows 7, whatever's easy.

I'm trying to use clonezilla to move a backup image on my Z partition of my Compaq to my Dell. I'm using the Clonezilla boot disk in the destination computer, and trying to connect them via Samba. How do i do this? I downloaded Samba 3.6.0 to my compaq, but i have no idea how to install it and make it so that the other computer can see it to grab the image. I've been googling this forever, but everything in the Linux forums is way over my head. Are there any step by step instructions for someone unfamiliar with Linux? Thanks for any help.

I have a Compaq laptop running windows 7, a Dell Latitude laptop running XP, and an HP tower running XP. What I want to do it so clone the hard drive from my Compaq to my Dell. I'm trying to use Clonezilla. My problem is that the image that will be created will be 40+GB, and I don't have a thumb drive or a way to connect my Dell HD to my Compaq laptop. So I need to transfer the image and restore it onto the other laptop through ethernet. I don't have a SAMBA network, nor do I know how to create one. Is there any way to manage this? Do I have to move the image via ethernet samba to the Hp and then restore it the same way onto my Dell? Any help would be appreciated, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to Linux, networking, and file types.

Okay, so I'm looking into buying a phone from verizon. My question is about the billing. For instance, the HTC trophy says the following:

full retail price-$429.99, 2-year contract-$199.99, Online discount - -$150.00, Price - $49.99

So my question is what do those number mean exactly. I've never bought a phone before, so given those numbers what would be my initial fee and what would be my monthly fee? Is it an initial $429.99 and a monthy $49.99?

Okay, so I found a product that I want to promote, and the only place it can be promoted form is fusionHQ. So I joined FusionHQ to begin earning commissions... but there's absolutely nothing telling me how I will be payed for commissions. There's nothing that says you get payed by check, paypal, or anything really. There are optional places to put a paypal email and mailing address, but if they're optional then that doesn't sound like a good way to get paid. I'm starting to advertise, but the help section they have isn't very helpful :P. If anyone can help, it would be very.. uh, helpful.

BTW, I'm not selling anything, creating a website, or creating my own product via FusionHQ. I just want to earn commissions.

I've been looking around the internet and found a lot of movies based on Bram Stoker's Dracula to varying degrees, but I have yet to see one that truly follows the plot from the novel. The closest I've found was the 1992 version, which followed the plot to some extent, but was horribly messed up, and I really didn't like it. If you can suggest any movies that follow the original story better, that would be great. Thanks

I've been using my xbox for a while, and one of my games has gotten scratched. You can still put the game in, and it will read just fine, but it gives the dirty disk error every time I try to play. It also gets up to 21% when trying to install, but again gets the dirty disk error. I would have no problems if it were already installed on my system, because it can still read what the disk is, but it can't read the whole thing. My question is, can I install the game from my computer via USB. Is that remotely possible? If not, I'll just buy another one. I don't have a problem with hacking, I actually use it sometimes to mod my character's stats in various games. And I don't have a reliable dual layer DVD burner. If anyone knows how to do this, that would be great. Otherwise, I guess I'll just save up and buy it again. Thanks in advance

I'm looking for a good anime that's family appropriate so that I can help my family learn Japanese a bit. Nothing that has swearing, too much blood, naked people (for any amount of time, even if it doesn't show anything) yet still has some action. I liked Black Butler, because it was serious enough that people could get into it, but it had that devil dog, which my family would be offended at, and there was a bit of violence. But not something too childish, because I'm looking for something that a group of teenage boys would like. So not poke'mon. Another one I thought was good was Vampire Knights, but it's a little too girlish for this audience. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Okay, so I've asked this a bit before and haven't gotten a good answer. I have tried many times to meditate, but every time I do I end up getting extremely angry. I never get angry, but even the anticipation of meditation makes me feel horrible and just want to strangle something. Suddenly everything is bad, and I get horribly depressed because I hate being angry.I don't like living with myself when I'm this upset, it's horrible. I just want to release it, get it out of my system, but nothing helps. I've tried all sorts of different methods to help just cleanse myself and get it all out, but it doesn't help because it's just not like me to get this worked up. Why is this happening? I just want this out of me so much. MORE IMPORTANTLY, is there anywhere else on the internet where I can ask this question. A lot of people here are great, but unfortunately my experience has been that far too many really don't give a care about you, and they don't want to take the time to read a paragraph, let alone understand what's going on. If there's a forum or something I can discuss it in, that would be great. I'm just so sick of this.

I found this program called sleepprogramming online, and I'm wondering if there's something similar maybe for a smaller cost (I'm pretty low on money right now). The official website is sleepprogramming.com/sleepprogramming and I found a coupon on http://sleepprogramming.org/ which makes it much more affordable, but I'm wondering if there's maybe a similar type of program where you can buy specific titles as opposed to a whole set, or even a whole set that's a little cheaper than $130 that does the same thing. Is it possible to find out all the contents of a domain name? Just for a small website, nothing big. I'm wondering if there's a program that will see all the folders/pages in a domain. Maybe is there a software program that can search it out. If not, that's fine, but if I could that would be awesome, thanks

This is so frustrating! I have tried so hard at different times to meditate, but I can't! Every time, no matter how I approach it, I can't relax and be consciously aware that I'm trying to meditate without be consciously aware of my surroundings. I try to forget, but the clock ticking, the uncomfortableness of my body, worrying about whether I'm doing it right, or even worrying that my brother will pop in makes relaxing on purpose impossible. I would do just about anything just to quiet my mind, but nothing I try works! Guided meditations are just as difficult, if not worse, because then I'm afraid the person guiding me will go too fast and I won't relax fast enough for the recorded dialogue. Please, someone help, this is ruining my life!

The worst part is it's so frustrating I get incredibly angry afterward (and I hardly ever get angry, it's really not in my nature). Please, any help is desperately needed
