Mine is Laurel

It is said that a laurel wand cannot perform a dishonourable act, although in the quest for glory (a not uncommon goal for those best suited to these wands), I have known laurel wands perform powerful and sometimes lethal magic. Laurel wands are sometimes called fickle, but this is unfair. The laurel wand seems unable to tolerate laziness in a possessor, and it is in such conditions that it is most easily and willingly won away. Otherwise, it will cleave happily to its first match forever, and indeed has the unusual and engaging attribute of issuing a spontaneous lightning strike if another witch or wizard attempts to steal it.

I'm curious about how many people on Y!A have been sorted into a Hufflepuff.

Winter Is Coming

Autumn is coming to a close

as winter rolls in.

Feel the chilly air

the cold nipping at your nose

like a biting cat.

Snow will come blowing in

swirling, falling to the ground.

Frost settles

as the coldness becomes more pronounced.

in the air

floating

like a petal in the breeze.

Those Eyes

If you looked into those eyes,

you'd see a dark soul

disturbed and withering.

Like leaves in the fall,

that flutter to the ground and die.

Those eyes that would kill you,

with just one look.

A sinister smile forms,

upon that twisted mouth.

It's a sadistic smile,

one that tells you you're dead.

There is no escape from one so evil,

so evil as the devil

who's eyes are the last you'll see

as you slip into the velvet black.

The Phantom in the Night

In the dark,

don't close your eyes

not even a wink.

For a phantom in the night hunts you,

in the blackness of the dark.

You don't see it,

but it sees you.

Don't bother looking round

for it won't show itself.

You're doomed!

Whispers the wind coming through your window.

Your bone-chilling scream rents the air

as the final shudder leaves your shaking body.

That's when it reveals itself

the phantom in the night.
