I'm curious as to why Sailor Moon and the rest of her fellow soldiers wear gloves and never take them off. Is there a specific reason ever given in the show or from interviews with the creator?

This question is specifically for ladies, but do you enjoy wearing formal gloves? I'm mostly talking about the long (or short) dressy gloves you'd wear to prom, another formal event, costume party, or even just for the heck of it. Have you ever worn them or even have any desire to? If you have worn formal gloves, did you enjoy wearing them? Did you leave them on for an extended period of time?

It seems like years ago, formal gloves were a very common accessory, especially for a formal event. These days I rarely see them and wonder if it's because they're just not admired like they once were. I even have a friend who absolutely detests wearing gloves, unless it's really cold.

Thoughts?

I've been concerned with my hands getting sunburnt, especially while driving, so I started wearing UV gloves (sun-protection gloves) much like these:

But I seem to be the only one in my town who does this. Does anybody else wear UV gloves in the summer, or do you think it's a ridiculous idea? If so, what kind of UV gloves do you wear?

About 3 or 4 hot girls in our 20s looking for a group costume idea. A couple years back we were Sailor Moon characters. Trying to look for something else to do this year. Any suggestions? (Pictures would be helpful).

I really don't like the look of touch-screen gloves, I'd rather wear my own leather gloves during this cold fall/winter. Is there any other way I can still use my iphone other than using touch-screen gloves or taking them off to use the phone?

I need to protect my hands from the sun without it being too hot. Can someone recommend a good pair of gloves for sun protection that also looks good? I can't wear fingerless gloves. Right now I'm just wearing a pair of satin gloves.

Have you ever seen one of your friends (and I mean friends, not boyfriends / girlfriends) partially or completely naked? Was it an accident or did the circumstances lead you both to be naked (being in a spa, locker room, etc.) What went through your mind when this happened?

My hands are ultra-sensitive to the sun. I have to wear gloves during the summer (and they need to be full-fingered and go up the forearm). However, is there a glove that can protect my hands but also not be so hot and irritating? So far the best solution is wearing satin gloves. Maybe there's a better material for my hands?

Asking girls for the most part, does anyone else really enjoy wearing gloves? I wear gloves a lot, not just when it's cold outside. I honestly think they are stylish in a classy sort of way. I'd even wear them when it's warm out. I kinda like sleeping with them on too. I like leather for colder wear and satin gloves when it's warmer, they feel really soft on the skin.

Anybody else share this interest of gloves?

Ever since I was little, I always wear gloves while sleeping. I'm not sure why, but I feel so much more comfortable wearing them to bed. Does anybody else do this? Is there a reason why?

I'm writing a story that involves the mob and am looking for a cool Italian last name like "Corleone" from The Godfather. Suggestions? The character is a female crime boss who has taken over for her deceased husband (the don).

"What are you talking about? I speak fluent spanish. It was the one subject that kept my grades up."

The last part of the sentence is supposed to mean, the speaker took spanish in high school and her high marks in the class kept her GPA up.

Oh, and please don't just copy and paste this into Babel Fish, I want someone who speaks fluent Spanish to give me a proper translation for this. 10 points
