  • Foot "pops" on the ball of the foot, under the small toes?

I have been having trouble, on and off, with my left foot. I have a job that requires a lot of standing and walking. It feels like pressure building in the ball of my foot, and is extremely painful, causing me to limp at times. My foot will "pop' to relieve some of the pressure. Any idea what is causing this? Different shoes affect the severity of the pain. I have also tried cushioned shoe inserts, and the seemed to make it worse.

  • What commercials make your dogs crazy?

We were watching tv the other night, and a Windex commercial came on. The birds rang the man's doorbell, and my three dogs went ballistic! They do this every single time that commercial comes on. They were barking, howling and whining, tearing through the house non-stop for 5 MINUTES! That got me wondering...what commercials make your dogs go nuts? I'm sure mine aren't the only neurotic ones!

  • Pooping in the house?

Another dilema regarding my dog, Buddy. For the past few months, Buddy has been pooping in the house, while we are home. This usually occurs during the night, and he doesn't come and tell us he needs to go out. I hadn't been getting after him, since he had a tumor, and I was afraid that was why he was potting indoors. However, I confirmed with the vet that the tumor had no effect on his bowels, and that this was a behavioral problem. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to break him of this habit? If he would wake us up, we would gladly take him out, but he doesn't. My husband gets up at 4:30 in th emorning for work, and always lets him out then. I get up at 7, and by the time I get up, there is always a surprise waiting for me downstairs. Any ideas?

  • Any info on Nerve Sheath Tumors?

My dog, Buddy, had a tumor removed last week. My vet confirmed that it was a nerve sheath tumor. He said that this type of tumor is rare. He also said that it wasn't very malignant, and he was certain that he got it all, but there is a good chance of recurrence. Has anyone dealt with this type of tumor before? Have you had recurrence, and what was the result?

  • Help with my Comcast bill?

I've had Comcast for home, internet and cable for six months, and my bill just increased by more than $60 a month. I knew that I signed up for a 6-month package, but didn't expect it to increase quite that much. Has anyone had this happen, and have success at getting Comcast to lower the bill back down? If so, how did you do it? Do I just need to call and ask them?

  • My dog is having surgery tomorrow...?

A few weeks ago, I noticed a large lump on the side of my German Shepherd mix, Buddy. I called the vet and scheduled an appointment for Buddy. Buddy is a large dog, weighing 130 lbs., so I thought that this was probably just a lump of fat that he developed. However, when he met with the vet, he said it was too deep and too hard to be fat. He stuck a needle in it to see what he would draw from it, and it was blood. We scheduled an appointment to have the lump removed, and a urinalysis ran, but he didn't tell me what he thought the lump was (my guess is so that I wouldn't panic). So here's my question - do you think that this lump on Buddy is a tumor, or could it be something else? If it is a tumor, how long after it is removed will it take to find out if it is cancerous? Any suggestions?

  • Are there any bee insecticides that are safe for pets?

We have a bees nest under our deck, and our dogs have been trying to catch them as they fly up. We want to spray the nest, but the dogs are able to get under the deck, and we do not want to use anything that will poison them. Does anyone know of any that are safe for pets, or have any suggestions? Thanks!

  • Ideas for constipated cat?

My cat was constipated, and I took him to the vet. The vet gave him 2 enemas, and sent him home, 9 days ago. Since then, I've noticed my cat is still not acting right... no appetite, lethargic, and can't jump. I've also noticed thathe's having difficulty walking on tile. I haven't seen him produce any bowel movements, but we have a multiple cat household, so it's difficult to tell. I talked to the vet again, and he said it was too soon for another enema, and told me to watch his bowels. I have been forcing water into him, using a dropper. I also have Metamucil to give him, but am concerned that if I give that to him, with him being dehydrated, it will only block him up more. Any suggestions?
