I want to start learning C#, so i downloaded Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express Edition, and i got the eBook that came with registration. I also picked up a physical copy just in case. But, before i evens start reading the book, i google "C# on Mac" just for future reference, and i come across some forums that say C# is a crap language and the way it executes code is slow. So now im questioning my decision to learn the language. I want something thats easy to learn, quick, and something that can also run cross-platform. Anyone have suggestions? Please only submit useful things, not one-line answers. Thanks.

I need to install drivers on my Windows 7 operating system. But the disks are only for Windows XP and Windows Vista. Ive tried to run the program in compatability mode for Windows XP & Vista, but that still didnt get the system to reconize the drivers. When i dont run them in compatability mode, they say that my operating system isnt supported. Ive got a custom-setup PC.

Im looking for this website i saw on Attack Of The Show during the Web Tools segment. Its NOT bluehost.com or anything like that. It either started with blue-and had something after that, or it was something-blue. All i know is that it had blue in the name, and host was NOT in the name. Hi, Ive just started learning C++. I really dont know much at all, except the history behind it. I have no idea on how to actually perform any tasks with the language. But, since i can be considered an absolute beginner at programming, should i just swich to the easier, Visual Basic language, or should i just stick with C++, ride it out and reap the benefits of knowing a wide-used programming language...Im having trouble deciding, because my main goal is to program a client for a site that i visit frequently. Is there anyone who has experince in BOTH fields that can help me out? Anything useful is appriciated. Thanks.

i forgot the code for my DirecTV D12 Receiver. I had to lock everthing up because my sisters kid was staying with me for a while and i didnt want him watching anything he didnt want to. But i need to get the code to my box, and calling wont work. Please only post an answer if you actually have a way to do it that dosent involve contacting DirecTV. Thanks.
