Mostly sweet Catholic girl with a dark gooey center. Cubicle escapee. Proud owner of terminally dirty/painted hands. Professional faux finisher and decorative painter. Gardener, amateur photographer. Wine lover, imported beer junkie. I was a "fallen away", or cafeteria-type, Catholic for many years before I came home to the Eucharist. I am single, divorced, and have received a decree of nullity (aka an annulment). I've been led to the traditional practices of receiving the Eucharist on the tongue and wearing headcovering. Feel free to ask me about any of those issues.

  • How do I find out the status of an anonymous accident victim?

I witnesses a pretty awful accident between a vehicle and a cyclist last week. The cyclist was taken away by EMS and was concious but he didn't speak English. I've been thinking and praying about it ever since. Does anyone know if there's a way I can find out how he's doing now?

I called the closest hospital and the operator was unable to help me without a name. She transferred me to the ER where the phone rang for a while and I hung up. I don't want to waste their time with a question that I barely have any information about!

There hasn't been anything in the paper.

  • How does this abortion argument make sense?

Some say abortion laws are the government legislating morality:

So why don't people make the same argument about murder? The government says it's not legal for me to murder another human or steal someone's car. How is that not seen as the government legislating morality?
