13 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoHow many home runs will the AL and NL home run leaders have at the end of the season?
Also, who will be the A.L. and N.L. leaders at the end of the season?
Home runs seem to be up again this season. I don't know if it is because of quality hitting or poor pitching, but the power numbers are better so far.

4 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoWhen will the Rays bring up David Price and/or Wade Davis?
The Rays have been winning lately, but it's not because of their starting pitching. Matt Garza is the best starter they have right now. Andy Sonnnastine got the win today, but he gave up 5 earned runs. Jeff Niemann has shown flashes of brilliance, but still has a 5.00 + ERA. How long will the Rays wait before making a move or two?

9 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoWhat will happen with the Rays rotation?
The Rays are off to a mediocre start. Every one of the starters have been highly inconsistent. You figure Garza, Kazmir, and Shields are safe. Sonnanstine has been mostly bad, while Jeff Niemann has been up and down. The Rays have David Price and Wade Davis waiting in the wings to join the rotation. Will Niemann and Sonnanstine be in the rotation at the end of the year?

5 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoShould Ben Zobrist be the primary RF for the Tampa Bay Rays?
I think Zobrist needs to get more playing time somehow. Gabe Gross and Gabe Kapler are not getting the job done right now. Zobrist has good speed, good power, and is solid defensively. My recommendation is for him to play RF most of the time and then he still backup Jason Bartlett when Bartlett needs a day off. What do you guys think?

8 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoDo you think the Rays are in trouble?
I realize the season is only 2 weeks gone, but the pitching looks pretty suspect right now. How long before the Rays push the panic button? I think David Price should be ready to come up any day...

9 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoHow many HR's will Carlos Pena of the Rays hit this season?
After a disappointing 2008 season where he hit only 31 homers, Pena looks to be getting back to his 2007 form when he hit 46 homers. Because Pena is a streaky hitter, I give him a shot at 40 homers again. I'm not ready to say he will hit 50. I hope I am wrong.

6 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoShould it really matter if a baseball player still has options or not?
The reason for my question is what is going on in Tampa Bay......Scott Kazmir is coming back from the DL this week. I am not arguing that. What I get disgusted with is that they are thinking about sending Andy Sonnanstine to the minors or the bullpen because he still has options. Besides James Shields, Sonnanstine has been the Rays hottest pitcher. If Garza struggles today, they need to send him to the minors to get him better. What do you think about the topic of player options?
