Im looking to make professional video games, but I am having a hellacious time trying to find a good school to choose, as a lot I find are not accredited by big accreditation agencies, which I guess means that the degree I would get would be worth less than nothing and no one would hire me. I am looking more so at online degrees because I can't travel very far from home. Should I enter a college that's not highly accredited and take the skills I learn and use them on my own(I plan on learning all the aspects of design), or continue searching for a school that where that someone would consider hiring me for my talent. Any other considerations you have would be appreciated.

i am looking into colleges that offer game design degrees but there are so many specific fields, like i want to create and develop games, but not just one aspect. I want to design, program, animate, and maybe some others. what I guess I'm saying is I want to be proficient in the crucial parts of creating games. what are some tips on how to build on these aspects while I am in college?

this laptop i looked into online was $450, but it had a 1.9ghz QUAD core processor. i would like to know if it is better than some higher ghz dual or single core processors(like say 2.3, 2.5). my main activities include gaming and developing. just lookin for the machine right for me and my wallet.

i know my standard scales, major, the 3 minors, pentatonic, and blues. but as times goes, i get bored of them as they sound repetitive. i need new patterns to try out.

i need help in figuring out the best way to develop my skills as a programmer and game maker. i'm having difficulty finding out a good path for me. Any help(colleges, scholarships, etc.) would be appreciated.

i need to find a college where i don't have to travel far, but i can't find any close by that offer the majors im interested in, they are mainly computer programming, 3D animations(mainly game making areas). So I am considering online courses for these and i need to know what are some reputable and worthwhile places.

i have learned that to legally use pokemon characters in this game that we are making we have to obtain whats called a creative use license from the company itself. i searched their site but couldn't find a contact button. any helpers on this will be handsomely rewarded.

what i want to do is move some applications and all it components to a flash drive to put it onto another computer. mainly because i don't have sufficient privileges to install them on the other traditionally. some of what i want to move is a mmo game client(1.6gb) and dev c++ from a windows xp to a windows 7 computer.

hello. me and some buddies are trying to make a game using Pokemon, and we want add movement and fight animations to them. what would be the best sprite editor for this task. if you haven't figured out yet, we are not making a Pokemon hack. we want to make a more original game (sort of like mystery dungeon).

i want to record videos of whats onscreen and through my webcam at the same time. i tried litecam hd but it made all other programs lag like holy hell. i want to record me and a youtube video with basically me giving commentary and showing expression. I currently use a 1.6ghz laptop with (sadly) GMA 950 integrated gfx card.

what i am thinking of doing is buying a low end pc and then buying higher grade parts like a better processor and gfx card. would this method save me a good amount of money or not.

i want the most bang for as little as possible. this can be either desktop or laptop, because i want PERFORMANCE over all else.

i am a guitarist with little money to fritter away. what factors(pickups, strings, amps, etc.) could give me a heavy, sinister tone at a low cost? i currently use a ibanez GiO along with peavey RAGE amplifier. it sounds ok, but leaves a little to be desired.

i had to stop playing this one other mmo when my friend gave me this one to use because the other had to be returned to the school system. basically, the school laptop was a hp 6460p with a 2.5 ghz cpu. now i have this eee pc which is a 1.6 ghz with gma 950 integrated graphics that couldnt play the mmo i was into without pretty bad lag. so what would be a good mmo to play on this? im into RPGs btw.
