  • My tablets pressure isn't working on SAI?

So um.. my tablets pen isn't responding properly. It will draw, but there's no tablet sensitivity, and before when I clicked the lower side button it selected the colour and changed it to that on SAI, and when on the internet, the top one would act like the right click, but I just tried and the right click button doesn't work either.. Is it broken? How do I fix it? Or can I just buy a new pen and it will work?

  • Will this work on my laptop?

So, I got a new tablet for Christmas, super excited about it. However, I'm trying to download it and it doesn't seem to be going through, so I looked at the compatibilty list again. It says, Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 7 SP1+, Windows Vista SP2, Mac OS X versio 10.6.8 or later. Anyways. I have a Windows Home Premium.. And I was wondering, if that would fit into the Windows 7 SP1+ or not?

  • Could your stomach get upset by starting a gluten free diet?

My sister seems to be gluten intolerant, or whatever fancy word they use for that. Every time she has pizza, buns, or noodles, she tends to have diarrhea.

Anyways, we decided to test it by going gluten free for a week. Today was the first day, and she had gluten free bagels for breakfast, and apparently, she had extremely explosive diarrhea.

So, I was wondering, if it's common for your stomach to get upset over gluten free products the first time and then later you'll get better? She has always had a sensitive stomach, but now she's turned off on trying anything else gluten free.

  • I can only like guys that remind me of my ex?

I just can't get over my Ex. And whenever I see another guy that looks almost exactly like him, it's just like, I want to get closer to them. Me and my Ex are good friends still.. And he's always encouraging me to go after these other guys but it feels wrong. I don't want to like someone because they remind me of the guy I am in love with. But I don't know how to get over either problem. Help?

  • What sort of Wrist Brace is best for a Cashier?

I have tendinitis quite often without doing much to them, so being a cashier has been working them up a lot lately. I was thinking perhaps a wrist brace would help. Since I work at Wal-Mart and I'm rather young [Only 20] I rather nothing really heavy looking, and rather it more like.. glove or wrist band looking. I don't want to look like an old person.

Any brands or types you would personally suggest that would help support my wrist with hours of constantly using my wrist as a cashier? Pictures or Links would be appreciated.

On other details: I don't lift heavy things much, it's mostly all the movement that bothers my wrist.

Oh, and I know it's a lot to ask for, a good wrist brace that doesn't look weird, but I figured if anyone knew it'd be you guys.

  • Nokia Phone memory Card help.?

I just got a 4GB memory card for my phone to store songs on. But, I could only put an extra song on before it told me I have no room left on my device again, and the song added was only 6MB. You need 1024 MB's to make only one giga bite. What could be happening and why won't it let me copy anything onto it properly?

  • What are the signs of bladder problems?

My sister has been having trouble with her bladder, it seems. She says she that "if she takes an hour long nap and doesn't have to go to the bathroom before hand, then she'll have to go super bad and wet herself when she wakes up" as she put it. Often she says she has to go really badly, but then she actually doesn't have to go, she says it usually happens after she already went. She also says that it never hurts or anything, but often comes out in 'little sections' as she put it. She says that, sitting down makes her not have to go, but as soon as she stands up she feels the need to 'wet herself' but usually can make it to the bathroom.

Oh, and she's thirteen and a half years old. She says this has been happening for a while.

  • Best Egg Replacers for Vegans?

Hi Vegans or vegetarians against using eggs!

I've been vegan for a while, and I've mostly been using mashed bananas or chickpea flour for egg replacers. But those don't work for everything and banana is a rather strong flavor.

So, I've been thinking of getting a new kind of egg replacer.

Info: I generally use egg replacers for baking, cakes muffins, ect.

I heard ground flax seeds are great for baking, since it has a nutty flavor to it, but I've also heard a lot of good things about Ener-G egg replacer.

Can someone use benefits of different egg replacers, and disadvantages of them.. and what they're best for, and what one you prefer yourself?

Oh, and I'd love to know what Ener-G is actually made of, is it soy, or what?

  • My male rabbit is having behavior issues?

I got him already fixed, and he was the age of 6 months [It's illegal to sell un fixed rabbits here] and I went to my bunny specialist vet to double check his gender, they had a lot of trouble deciding, but finally decided he was a male, but couldn't find any scars where the surgery would have taken place.

Anyways, as of late, he grunts and then bites me if I try cleaning up his cage. Not /just/ if I put my hand in the cage, he doesn't mind that, but just if I try cleaning up while he's still in there [You know, scooping out poops and simple things.]

And sometimes when he's in his box he'll get mad if I put my hand in there to pet him. This isn't my first rabbit. My first rabbit was a female, I believe females get territorial issues when they need to get fixed.

So, I'm just wondering, is it normal for a fixed male bunny to disapprove of you cleaning up their cage?

  • Is Boric Acid okay to put on cats? [Infection?]?

First of all, yes, we are getting him to the vet as soon as possible. We don't have any money right now so my mom wants to do what's possible.

She plans on shaving the area [it's under his chin, I kinda feel bad that we're gonna shave him]

And put boric acid on the area, but then clean it off right away so he doesn't digest any. Is it safe?

If this isn't safe state some other ways to help clean an infection that's safe for cats skin.. I'm really worried about him. We are not sure how long he has had it because it's in a hard to see area. He's eating well and still coming for pets or meowing for his treats [Though he's always been a grumpy cat so he doesn't like being held much still]

  • Vegans who don't eat grains?

I heard there's a group [not sure what they call themselves] and like, they're basicly vegans, but don't eat grains?

Where do they get their nutrients that one normally would from grains?

I'm asking this because I have a few concirns in my diet, I'm a vegan and I think I'm pretty healthy. The only problem is I don't get as many grain servings as the recommended amount, I usually have 2-4 servings of grains a day, but I eat well over enough veggies, legumes, and fruits, along with my calcium sources instead of milk and yeah.. the only thing I don't have enough of is grains and I'd like to see what sorts of things I could have to top my "grain" nutrients.

Generally I have oats, or whole wheat toast [switching every other day] for breakfast, then I have brown [and wild] rice or rice noodles orrr pizza crust or corn chips. But yeah, I think I'm pretty low on my grains, specially on a few days.

So yeah, Where can you get the nutrients you usually would from grains? <~ Re asking for people who like scrolling to the bottom to read a basic question.

  • Question about sodium in a vegan diet?

So, my mom came up with the weirdest idea. She asked me "Are you getting enough sodium in your diet?" I thought that was weird. She never worried about my calcium or protein intake or anything.

But, I looked through the things that do have little charts saying how much is in it, but I have a mostly fresh diet, and I noticed the only thing that has much sodium in it is my soya sauce which I only have three times a week. [It's all organic and naturally brewed]

Now, I don't reallly like adding salt to my food.. so is sodium naturally found in any fruits or veggies or should I force myself to add salt onto my meals. I know sodium isn't good in large quantity's, but I also know you need sodium in your body. Do raw nuts have good sodium? [I only get raw nuts like almonds, I dislike salted ones] Or beans or.. I don't know, anything fresh?

  • Sometimes I wake up in the middle of a night with unbearable pain in my leg?

Well, it happens about twice a month, sometimes only once. But I wake up and there is this agonizing pain right under my knee cap, it usually lasts about twenty or so minutes I think.. I usually pass out right after wards though, because I never remember the pain stopping and I just wake up the next morning. To compare the pain.. well, I chipped my elbow once, this hurts about three times more then that did.

I don't really understand it, I walk a lot some days, yes, but I never over strain my leg I don't think, and it only happens in my right one.

Should I be worried about this? Could it be a blood clot? Or is that not likely because of how rarely the pain occurs? I never have problems with my leg, it is fully functional besides that. Sometimes the day after it is a little stiff and hurts to fully stretch out or put weight on.

Could it be an awkward position perhaps that causes the pain? Anything this sounds like to you would be helpful

  • Vegans, bulk shopping tips?

Okay, so you know how some grocery stores have bulk and you can scoop out as much as you want?

Is it safe to go bulk shopping? Or perhaps only the ones that people can't actually reach in are safer? [Like the ones where you pull a lever down and the entrance opens and pours down so peopel can't touch what's inside it actully, and only what already fell out.]

Also, if you think it would be safe, what sort of things would you assume are vegan, like maybe rice and raw nuts?

Any other tips for bulk shopping?

  • Vegans, what are your thoughts about this? Is he really a vegan?

Okay, so, me and my friends got in an argument about veganism, they don't really understand why I became vegan.

Anyways, one of them mentioned "I know a vegan hunter" and said how he just hunted for money but didn't eat any of it.

If someone hunted but didn't eat any animal products, would you consider them a vegan?

  • Does the dried fruit in fruit cake have to sit in rum over night? How can you speed this process?

Hi everyone. I am making my mother fruit cake for Christmas, and I'd like to know if there's any way of speeding up the soaking time. I would like to make it today but it will only have three hours to soak if I do, if not I will have to wait until Thursday and I would like to make it as soon as possible.

I heard from someone that you can quickly microwave it for five seconds to speed it up, but I am not sure of the effects to the fruit that will give.

  • Is Riboflavin in flours vegan?

I've tried asking this several times, but no one seems to know the answer, or it just gets missed by those who do.

Most the All purpose flours I find have riboflavin in them. It frustrates me, because I really don't like the bean "all purpose flours" and whole wheat isn't really the best for cakes.

So, is riboflavin in flours vegan? Or any common [in Canada] brands of all purpose flour that you guys get that doesn't have riboflavin in it?

    4 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan10 years ago
  • Is flour vegan or is the riboflavin in them usually not?

As many people know, Riboflavin can come from animal products as well as plants. I'm having trouble finding all purpose flour without riboflavin or stating it's vegan. So, are the riboflavin's in flour vegan when it just states 'riboflavin' in the ingredient list?

If not, any good vegan brands you can think of?

  • Do you think this could be a cavity or gum problem?

Okay, so, about two months ago I got my dental check up because I needed to see if my wisdom teeth were coming in, and figured I'd just get a regular check up as well. I did not have any cavities. On the fourth of this month, I got my wisdom teeth removed.. I will admit, I didn't brush my teeth for three days after, it hurt to much to try getting my tooth brush in my mouth because my mouth couldn't open properly for a while. I did however, starting on the second day, rinse my mouth out after every meal.

So, now, around / at some of my teeth kind of hurts, but only if I bite down hard. I have been known to have sensitive gums and such, and I didn't have a high sugar diet like most people [mashed potatoes and soup]. I hear cavities take a while to form as well. So, what are the chances that this is a cavity, and how will I be able to tell? I am now back at brushing my teeth, and hoping it's related to the gum, but any answers would be helpful.
