15 years in mortgage and lending, both production and secondary. I processed, closed, audited...all types of loans conventional, government, prime, subprime.... I also conducted due diligence audits on portfolios purchases and sales. My degree is in Finance with a specialization in banking. I left the work world to stay home with my kids so I am not connected with any specific company but, as I tell people, I am addicted to the mortgage industry, follow it religiously & since there is no 12 step program for me, I just answer people's questions and help them navigate the financial world.

  • Need intermediate hermit crab info?

We had crabs a few years ago but now want to get more. We have a 15 gal. Tank which is tall not

long but I have built a second level for it. Have a heat lamp, water dishes...know temps and humidity. I also always had both shallow salt and fresh pools available.

I want to know if you can mix species in the same tank. There are many PP available; however, I

have also looked at Ruggles and Ecudurians. I know E's have shell problems (very picky) but are there any other problems. I know one species is scared of water & one doesn't molt well.

Also, how many medium sized crabswould be ideal in this size tank? I know that they like to live in colonies.

  • Want to start a mortgage/housing website or blog. How do you start it?

I am pretty good with computers, but I don't know if blogs or websites are better for providing information relevant links..on various topics. I am not looking to make money so that is not part of the equation. How do you start? Is there a website where you set it up or do you have to hire web-designers (since I am not making money, don't want to spend a lot). It would be mostly for people I know, if that helps any.

  • what is the difference between PS3 XBox and Wii?

My son has been perfectly happy with his Wii until recently. He says he stills likes it but there are games on Xbox that he likes. I thought they made the "big" games for all the formats. Am I wrong? He is not into the sports games, very into simulation and strategy games

Is there a difference? What are pro and cons of each? We can afford it however he would be paying for it with his saved allowance and birthday money. I just want to make sure he would not be waiting his money for something he can't play (no M games although we're ok with the shooting and all because he has been heavily interested in the military since he was little. He has even asked us to find a military school were he would be required to wear a uniform, march in formation and drill regularly so I don't see him gloryfying the "gangsta" lifestyle

  • What is a skim coat? Removed wallpaper and walls are pretty damaged?

I had wallpaper removed but the walls are pretty beat up. The handyman said I need to skim coat the walls before painting. Is this different from spackling? Do I spackle the dents, nail holes and places where the brown paper of the drywall has been torn? How do you skim coat (heard something about mud but kind of got lost there)? Do I need to sand after this skim coat?

I don't want to texture the walls. I want to do it correctly so if anyone could detail the process and what materials are needed, I would really appreciate it.

  • Refinishing kitchen cabinet. What is process? 10 pts if you can answer all!?

Currently beautiful oak cabinets that previous owners applied a hideous whitewash pickle stain with some sort of very shiny, smooth sealant. They are shiny but some of the shiny stuff is peeling off. I have removed each one, taken off all hardware and cleaned with TSP.Now what?

Use chemical stripper and scrape, then sand left over spots

Do I prime them (I wish to use stain

Do I use a regular oil based stain? How many coats? What is a good brand? gel or liquid?

Sand between layers? I don't want distresseed or crackle.

How do I get that glossy, easily clean surface that was on the old ones?

I must have not gotten all of the old surface off before I started because the cowpoke I did had sticy stuff in some spots and other spots the new stain just didn't stay on and I would have a big blotch of the original ugliness.

  • Starker Exchange on Rental Property?

My husband has been informed that an apt building he owns 6 percent of in an LLC is being sold. To avoid the taxes, I know about Starker but do we have to go into another LLC or can we take all of our gains and buy our own rental property. The existing group may find a new complex but we are uneasy about how far away they are considering (200 miles).
