Could you help with miscarriage worries?
My LMP was 3/7, and I should be 7w4d today. Last Monday (4/22), I had an ultrasound, and they only saw a 4 week sac. Doctor said it might be a bligted ovum. My HCG level was 13128, and then 48 hrs later, it was 20238. I have been spotting brown/pink/red with what looks like CM or little clots for about a week, no major cramping. I have a tilted uterus, and they saw a "significant" cyst on my right ovary. Could the bleeding be caused by the cyst, and what are your opinions about the sac? I go back today for a follow up scan.
1 AnswerPregnancy8 years agoCould I start charting my BBT at CD11?
I'm a little late to the game, but what would happen if I start charting BBT at CD11? Would it still be able to show ovulation?
1 AnswerTrying to Conceive9 years agoCould anxiety cause stroke like symptoms?
I asked this yesterday, but didn't get much response, so I had to take my husband to the ER 2 nights ago because he couldn't move his arms and he was slurring his speech. Here's a little background. He is 31 with IBS and anxiety. My 2 year old came home from daycare with a stomach bug, and naturally my husband and I caught it as well.
He started with a headache and throwing up, and then he got chills and his muscles were getting flexed and he couldn't get up to move around. I took him to the ER because I thought he might be having a stroke. They basically said that the stomach bug got the IBS going and subsequently got the anxiety going as well.
Could anxiety cause numbness, slurred speech and not being able to move?
It just worries me because he's so young!
PS
They didn't do a CAT scan or MRI. They said that because he could "talk himself" out of the episodes he was having, it was anxiety.

2 AnswersMental Health9 years agoIs the wart on my finger dying?
I have a wart on the pad of my middle finger that has been there for 2 or so years. A couple of days ago, I noticed that a black dot was forming in the middle of it. It kinda looks like a blood blister. The dot has gotten bigger, and it is sensitive to the touch. Does this mean it's finally dying? How long does it usually take for it to completely go away?
3 AnswersSkin Conditions9 years agoCould my usb printer cable be damaged?
I have a HP 9800 Series Deskjet printer. It stopped working last night, so I ran a diagnostic test on it to see what was going on. First thing that popped up said that it was not connected. So, upon further inspection, I looked into the port on the printer that the usb plugs into. (It has 4 pins and is square) One of the pins had bent sideways. I got my tweezers that are used for getting splinters out, which has a light on it. I managed to bend the pin back into place. I then plugged the cable back in, and it did not work. When I took it back out, the pin was bent back the way it was the first time. I don't know what the cable is supposed to look like, but it doesn't seem to look damaged. Should I try a different cord? If I buy one from Best Buy, do they take cables back if they don't work? Thank you!!!!
3 AnswersPrinters9 years agoHow do you handle daycare woes?
LO has been in daycare for a month. They were really good in the beginning with feeding him. Lately, they have been slacking off. He is supposed to get:4 oz formula and half of a jar of fruit in the morning.4 oz formula and the other half of the jar of fruit plus half a jar of veggies for lunch.4 oz formula in the afternoon. He's not being fed in the morning, and they don't give him all his bottle! They say that he only takes 2 oz, and refuses the rest. I KNOW that's not the case. He pauses at 2 oz, and then finishes the other 2 like a minute or two later. Plus, he hasn't been taking his afternoon nap, and being over exhausted when he gets home.Today, he hadn't taken his morning nap or been fed his fruit when I got there at 12 to feed him his lunch bottle! I am constantly bringing it up, and they say "okay" and never do what I say. I have been worried all day! I am going to have to speak to the director.I just don't want there to be any tension between the teachers and I. But, something has to be done! How would you bring it up?
8 AnswersParenting10 years agoWeird proportions for a 4 month old?
My son is 4 months old, 12 lbs 4 oz, 22 1/2 in long, and 16.5 head circ. The doctor said that he is under the 5th percentile for height, 10th for weight, and 45 for head circ! He doesn't seem to be to concerned, but have any of your children started out like this?
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoDoes this seem like a fair way of raising our son?
Well, we were raised Catholic. (DH went to Catholic School K-4) We both have done the Sacraments up to Marriage. We were turned off by a preist that refused to come to the hospital to give Last Rites to his dad when he was on his death bed. Also, we don't really believe in some of the same things as the Church teaches. We have been following our own religious path in the sense that we are aware that there is a Higher Being, and it is not necessarily one being. It is in everything and everyone. So, you can call us Spiritual. :)
We plan on raising our son with love and teaching them about all religions. He can make a decision if he wants to follow a certain religion or not when he gets older. We will support him 100%!
Do you think this is depriving him of anything? It's not like we are saying no to religion, we are merely giving him the tools to make an informed decision. We will be using teachings from all religions.
9 AnswersParenting1 decade agoMy journey in spirituality?
I'm just trying to find some guidance on my journey. I believe that the "higher being" is in every living thing, and we should respect everyone and everything. (Kind of like a "Mother Nature") I believe in living a good, moral life treating everyone with respect. You are your own temple, meditation is my kind of thing. Am I just my own religion? :)
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoConfused, scared and don't know what to do?
I am so confused in my life right now. I had a beautiful little boy in November, he is my everything. I am so torn though when it comes to religion and spirituality. My husband and I were brought up Catholic, and got married in the Catholic church. However, since then, we have become estranged from the church for a lot of reasons. I have always been taught that you have to be baptized in order to get into Heaven or to have an afterlife. I do not want to have my baby baptized catholic, but I keep thinking, if we don't get him baptized, what will happen to him. I have not found a church yet that match our beliefs. We believe that there is a higher being, and that we should live our lives in a respectful, loving way. We believe the Bible is meant to be a teaching tool, and not to be taken 100% fact.
I keep going back to that one question. What will happen to my baby?! I don't want to force any religion on him, I want him to make his own decisions. We will bring him up in a spiritual way.

I've heard a couple conflicting answers. Yes, you can if you are in the medical profession, and no, you can't period. Which one is it?
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade ago20 weeks, dizzy, throwing up?
I am 20 weeks, and I was standing in the hall talking to some co-workers, and I got really dizzy really fast. Then, I asked one of them to walk me to the bathroom, and I threw up for the first time in weeks. I am now back at my desk feeling really tired and still a little dizzy.
Is this something I should be concerned about? Or is it a normal occurence?
9 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoReviews on Medela In Style Advanced Breast Pump?
I am currently looking at a used Medela In Style Double breast pump that was originally $280, and the Single Battery/Electric breast pump that was originally $75, both for $100. They are a year old, and it comes from a trusted source. Of course, I'll buy all new tubing, sheilds, bottles, etc for both, but is this a steal or what?! Anyone have used this or have any suggestions on if this is a good price?

11 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoNeed help with my husband's anxiety/depression?
Hi, I'm new to the board. I'm going thru some tough issues right now, and I thought I would come and try this. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 6 years now, and we are 5 months pregnant for the first time. It is not the pregnancy that is causing his anxiety. It stems from a fall-out at work from a friend that he was really close to. He is always the first person to try to help someone out in any way he can. She is going thru a nasty divorce and he was there for her to lean on and talk to. They had been texting back and forth all hours of the night, talking on the phone, going to lunch and sitting at her "cry table" in the corner so she could cry it out to him.
Now, this all seems a bit odd that I am okay with this, right? Well, it has been really hard for me because I am the one that is pregnant, has a sore back that needs rubbed and all that. But, I am a very understanding person, and I realize it is just him to want to help everyone, that's who I fell in love with.
It all fell apart last weekend when she e-mailed him and said that he was getting to emotionally attached, and she could not handle any more drama in her life. And all that she can handle is a working relationship. That opened the flood gates, and my husband almost drowned in anxiety! All he was ever doing was helping her, and never meant to over step any boundaries. He walked 5 miles home after calling me to say "She hates me" and left work. He stayed home for a week, moping around in a depression like I have never seen in him before.
I try to tell him that it's her, not you. She needs space. He won't believe me. I don't know what to do. I am 5 months pregnant, and I just want my husband back. I want to be able to enjoy the pregnancy and get on with our lives.
Any suggestions or comments welcome.
Thanks

5 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade ago18 weeks and new pain?
I'm 18 weeks, and my breasts are starting to get tender and sore again! It went away for about 7 weeks, and now it's back. Does this mean that my body is starting to get ready to produce milk?
My back is starting to curve and I can't stand up "straight". I know the backaches are inevitable now!
What are some of your new pains this week? (no matter how far along you are)
