Here is my question. I want to use a secured line of credit card to build my credit. I have been told that if i pay my card off in full every month it WILL NOT BUILD MY CREDIT.

Keep in mind I only plan on putting $150 in gas/food on the card a month. To build credit, do I pay the full amount, or leave a small balance each month (say, $5) and take the interest hit? Or Pay it off IN FULL.

Or what is the best way to build credit with a credit card???

Well, with deployment coming up I have bought $393 worth of work related Items,

including heatgear OD Socks, Moisture wicking shirts, laundry bag, personal hygiene items, batteries, head lamp, pillow/towels, etc etc you get the point if you have been deployed.

CAN I SAVE THESE RECEIPTS AND USE THEM COME TAX TIME? Anyone know??

Anyone know if Hostile Fire / Imminent Danger Pay is Authorized for Kuwait? As well as hardship duty location pay?

I only ask because technically Kuwait is labeled a Combat Zone and we also receive a Combat Patch for this Deployment.

If the sticker price of a used 2005 Cadillac CTS is $10,000, is it possible to negotiate as low as $8,500 if you offer to put $4,200 down?

Looking into buying a 2006 Cadillac CTS with 92,000 miles for $9,985 asking price

What are some tricks and advice I can use to lower that price when negotiating with the dealership. Is it possible to get that price as low as $8,500? The KBB Value on it for Fair is $9,200, so is it possible to work them below the KBB Value?

Also, I have no credit, not bad, just non existent, but I do have a secure job and make $3,500/month, and for the next year at least it will be tax free earning, what kind of INTEREST RATE could I expect on a 36 month loan on a $9,000 used car after putting around $3,500 down

I recently became aware that I was owed BAH Type I from BCT/AIT back in 2009, which I was authorized because I am National Guard.

I have been advised that the issue has made it past State reached Milpay after filling out Start/Stop BAH paperwork and awaiting payment.

How long does MILPAY / DFAS take to pay on back pay issues and for me to see it in my LES. Less than a month? Over a month?

It was "resolved" 3 weeks ago.

My wife and I are moving into a new apartment, and she demands that my cockatiels wings get clipped, meaning a possibly bored bird compared to her lifestyle now.

We have a sunroom that I will be putting her cage in (connected to the living room with direct human connection and contact) but I want to find some sort of 4-5ft Indoor Tree that would be perfect for her to climb right out of her cage and onto it, so she at least has a maze of branches and leaves to play in.

I looked at cockatiel and parrot jungle gyms, but I cannot justify spending $200-$700 on one of those right now. Indoor Tree Recommendations????

Long story short I was arrested for Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree Class E Felony. I explained everything to the judge, that i had already paid, from jail, the damages to my wifes car (which i was arrested on one bad drunk night) etc

The Judge asked me if i wanted to plead guilty or not guilty, i said "well i did it it was dumb but the situation is being taken care of" he said "OK I'm going to enter a Not Guilty plea for you and release you from here with no bail posted"

Is this a good sign? I've never been through the court system before

They told my wife that she should authorize a "conditional order of protection" that would state I just could not drink around her. She asked them not to do anything that would effect my career (I am US Military Enlisted with a Security Clearence and a high profile job) and they told her they needed to take me to make sure i sobered up

Well i wake up in the morning with a full blown order of protection and a Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree Class E Felony. I saw the judge later that day, he advised i get a Lawyer and then released me, no bail posted

I did not qualify for a free attorney and i have less than $100 in my asccount right now, so I will be doing it alone on Monday. The court told my wife to go in on Monday to see if she could get the order lifted as well

What I have done in response: Called FROM JAIL same day I was arrested and set up an appointment to get the windshields replaced same day and paid for them from there. I also am talking to my Superiors for info on the Army Substance Abuse Program. I am being as proactive as possible

What do you think the outcome will be. I WILL NOT have representation. Does this case sound like it may be ACD or dropped, or could i be looking at Jail time. Will my Military Service, no prior record or arrests, alcohol related and proof i am going to go to a program, the fact that my wife wants the order lifted and charges dropped help me?

I am National Guard, meaning when i get home in Jan i can pursue a civilian career, and i am EXTREMELY interested in working for a DOD Private Contractor company working OCONUS, especially in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I am curious if any of you know any way to break into this industry. I don't want a state side job, i am specifically looking for a company that will give me opportunitynity to fly the UASs in Iraq or Afghanistan. my only drawback is it would have to be a company that flies Shadow, cause thats all i will be trained and qualified to do.

My qualifications would be

-U.S Army trained

-Shadow 200/300 Aircraft Operator/Mission Payload Operator

-Associates Degree in Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations

i am an E1 in the NY Army National Guard. MOS 15W UAV Pilot. I still have to do all my training, but my unit 27th Infantry BCT JUST came back from deployment and i was told they wont be deploying again for awhile. I want to be able to go over right away after AIT though.

I was told it is possible to volunteer for deployment with other states while in the Army National Guard. does anyone know how that works? Will having a job like 15W UAV Pilot make it easy to find a Unit to go over with?
