My laptop is an Asus K55A-DS71. The other day, I was using a flash drive into my computer but then realized i had nestled it into the usb port. This isn't the first time that's happened (the ethernet, usb ports are adjacent). The thing is though, My ethernet is not working anymore. I've tried a new cable and I've checked the software thoroughly, but I think it may be a hardware malfunction. Could plugging a usb drive into an ethernet port cause damage?

It died on me today, and I don't know how to jump start it because it has two batteries in it.

I watch Top Gear all the time, and I've figured out that 'quid' is the British equivalent to the American 'buck.'

Still, I have no idea why that is... Will someone please elaborate?

And what book was it? (substantial books, please. Not kids' books or something like that)

I'm not really an avid reader, but I was so bored this weekend, I finished Hunger Games in 20 hours since I started it yesterday.

My hands are purple all the time. Extremely purple. It starts from my wrist, and everything after that is always purple (beet red when showering, running, whatnot). One of my friends who has the disease has white hands. Which is more common?

Let's say, theoretically, that this was built a door, but is damaged beyond repair, and is unable to be opened ever again. Would it still be a door, or does it now become a wall?

Also known as the PSAT test, I took it earlier this year and here are my scores:

58 / 80 in critical reading (80th percentile),

77 / 80 in mathematics (99th percentile),

64 / 80 in writing skills (93rd percentile)

My total score is 199 (96th percentile)

The sheet I have here says that around 1.5 million people took the test and that the top 55,000 scores will qualify for program recognition.

The top 55,000 scores out of 1.5 million is the top 3.67%, and so someone would need to get in the 96 1/3rd percentile to get 'recognition.'

My question is this: do you think that I made it? I have absolutely no idea, and I wanted to know what other people thought. I'll get the results next September, and I am a little anxious about it...

Ok, so I'm 16 and I sing Bass II in all of my choirs. and in the mornings, I can get down to a low B, but during the day, I can only hit a C. I was wondering what percent of people my age can get that low.

Do you make up words to describe things or combine words together to make one altogether better word?

My favorites are "gription" (grip + traction) and "scarm." Scarm is filth, or scum, and I often use the word "scarmy."

I have a CD called the Dufalt Brothers The Only Way that is copywrited 2003. They are an a capella christian group and they are awesome. They played at my church in Cambridge MN in 2003 as well.

I was watching a debate a few years ago on ESPN that said baseball has only 8% blacks and that teams should hire more black players... because of their skin color. How is it racist that black culture doesn't include baseball as much as basketball (not many whites at all) and football. I think it's racist to hire just black people to avoid a "racism" accusation. Back to basketball: why don't people say that basketball is a racist sport favoring blacks? It's the same concept: fewer players of a certain race. Teams hire the best players, and it just so happens that a lot of the best players are black, and a lot of the best baseball players are white and mexican and puerto rican and not black. I don't see how that's racist.

Because they are very good you know...
