  • What 4 letter word should I put on my roommates window?

I want to mess with my roommate, so I want to put some post-it notes on his window.

What 2-4 letter word would be the funniest thing to put on?

  • Should I go to the gym if I have a small cold?

It's nothing major - i'm just sniffing a lot, a small tickle in my throat, and a headache.

Should I still go to the gym? I haven't been since friday, and I want to make sure i'm going at least 3 times a week.

  • Should I return my tv or sell a replacement on ebay?

My dad broke my tv last month, and is trying to replace it under the insurance policy.

However on black friday I saw a slightly newer model for a large discount, and bought it - thinking that the insurance would pay up.

Instead, my dad told me the insurance would only give me a replacement tv if they did agree to it.

So now I have an extra tv. I m reluctant to return it because it was such a good offer, but that would mean I would have to sell the replacement tv on ebay (or to a friend).

Which one would make more sense to do?

  • Are these sausages safe to eat?

My roommate wanted to use my sausages last night, so I gave him my pack.

However he only took half of it, and left the rest over night on the counter.

I was thinking if I cooked it now for lunch, it might be safe, but i'm not sure whether to risk it.

    Thoughts?

  • Can I eat a quiche if it's a week past the use-by date?

It's been kept in a fridge unopened, and it doesn't smell weird.

But it is eggs, and I don't want to get ill. Should I risk it?

  • Should I buy The Sims 4 if I only want to build houses?

I've heard bad reviews about The Sims 4, but would it still be a good game to buy if I only want to build houses?

I'm not really interested in creating sims and all of that stuff, but I love designing my dream house.

Has anyone played it before? Is it worth it?

  • Which xbox one bundle should I get?

I'm undecided whether to get this cool white version for £330: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Console-Kinect-Titanfall-M...

or get the one with kinect (and live, and titanfall) for £395: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Console-Kinect-Titanfall-M...

I actually like the idea of kinect, and think the voice controls and facial recognition is kind of cool.

  • Should I go out if I have a cold?

My friends at work are having one last night out before everyone goes back to university. It's kind of a big deal, but I have a headache, stuffed up nose, and a really sore throat. I don't think I could manage going out and drinking, even if I want to see them.

What do you think, should I man up and go anyway? I hate the fact that i'm not there, but I am genuinely ill, and it's slowly getting worse.

  • Which colour Nike's should I chose?

I need to get new shoes, and i've found these: http://store.nike.com/gb/en_gb/pd/air-max-365-trai...

I think the red looks nicer, but it will definitely stand out and may not match all of my clothes. The black ones are a bit more boring, but would go with anything I wear.

I'm 50/50, so i'll just go with the most popular opinion here.

    Thanks guys.

  • Is it possible to get therapy simply for low confidence/self esteem?

I've never been diagnosed with a mental illness, but since i've been 13 i've had pretty low confidence (as a result of cystic acne and an overbite).

I'm 20 now, but I still can't just act confidently. It's annoying, i'm at university, my acne is pretty much gone, my braces are off, but I just haven't changed even though I physically look like a pretty normal guy. Also i'm not going to lie, my social skills aren't that great, even if I have forced myself to think positively.

Is it possible to get therapy just for this, or is it something I will have to sort out myself? How would I go about doing it?

  • What is the likeliness i'll be fired?

Basically, today I had a 6-10 shift (it didn't specify), so I assumed that it was an evening shift. This morning at 7am I got a text saying that I was supposed to be in work and I was working a morning shift. I only read this text at 10:30am after I woke up and had a shower etc.

I've been at this job for around 3 months, so i'm not on probation. Also this is my first offence.

What do you recon the odds are that I will be fired for this? I'm pretty worried, as I need this job to pay my rent.

    Thanks

  • How do I get my subwoofers to work?

So I have a basic set-up, with my 2 bookshelf speakers connected to this tiny amp with some speaker cables (http://www.amazon.co.uk/TA2020-Tripath-Class-T-Amp...

If I had a subwoofer, what would be the best way to connect it?

  • How to connect subwoofer to amp?

Okay, so I have this amp [1] connected to my speakers, which I have put this cable [2] in, the black and red on the left side and right side. This has completely filled up all the slots which I can connect to.

Then today I got my subwoofer, and I thought again I would need to use my cable [2] to connect them together. But as all the slots are filled, i'm unsure whether to just jam two cables into the one slot. Is this safe?

If I can't do it, i'd appreciate some help with what to do. Thanks guys.

  • I've never read the Harry Potter series, should I bother now?

I'm 20 years old, so i'm thinking that it might be a waste of time reading the book series, as it's gone past the hype now. I've watched all the films, I like them, but i've never been crazy about it like some people.

Should I bother buying the series to read it? I've just finished reading The Game of Thrones series, and now I want to catch up on all the books everyone else has read, but I haven't. But at the same time, there are probably 10 year olds reading this, and I would just feel pretty stupid reading a children's book.

    Cheers.

  • How safe exactly is marajuana?

I've never smoked it as it's illegal, but with all the news of it being legalised in parts of America, and that it's apparently safer than alcohol, I was just wondering how safe is it to smoke (in moderation).

I'm normally a risk-adverse person, but if i'm 100% sure it won't have long term effects on my brain, then I figure I may as well give it a shot.

If anyone has seen family/friends use it, have you noticed any changes in them, or are they exactly the same before and after?

    Cheers

  • Should I give my children a cash incentive for good grades?

My son is about to enter his a-levels in september, and I want him to do well. He's already a bright lad, but I want to give him that extra push, so he doesn't slack off. Does this sound like a good idea, or could it potentially backfire?

    I was thinking:

BBB - and he gets £200

AAA - and he gets £500

I know it's a lot of money, but that should give him an end goal, right?

I want a number to make him really want to go out and work for it. What would you recommend the numbers be? If any teenagers are reading this, do you think that would be enough, or will I need to cough up more?

  • Why isn't the UK a football team?

Instead, it's England, Wales and Scotland.

But in other sports like tennis, it's the UK instead of just England. Why doesn't the UK play as a team instead?
