  • How do you think the 2016 election will play out?

I know it's still far out, but as of now how do you think the election will play out? Who will win the nominations for each party, and who will win the presidential election? If you're comfortable with it, include who you want to see as president. I personally believe it will be either Chrisite-Clinton or Ryan-Clinton. While I don't want Clinton in office, it is definitely very possible that she could beat both candidates.

  • Do college emails from the PSAT's mean anything?

I just took the PSAT's in November. Apparently I marked that I wanted information from schools since I've been bombarded with emails since December when scores were released. Most of the schools are tiny and not well known, but a couple were from Ivy's. I'm not sure if that's the same for everyone or not, since I did well on the test (as a sophomore I was in the 94th percentile when compared to juniors- I think my exact score was like 196). So do these emails mean anything or not?

  • Where can I get relatively cheap medical supplies?

I already built a first aid kit, but it was very basic; I'm now looking for more advanced supplies. I tried using recue-essentials.com but their checkout process was sketchy and I decided to go in another direction. Chinook medical is good, but their shipping is rather high. I was able to put together a cart on amazon that was very similar to the rescue-essentials cart, but it was nearly double the price (about $40 on RE, but more than $70 on amazon). So what is a reliable yet fairly cheap website for medical supplies? I'm looking for things including PriMed compressed gauze, Israeli dressings (4" and 6"), oral airways, Kerlix gauze, hemostats, burn gel and dressings, and some topical stuff like hydrocortisone. Basically a large range of things, focusing on more serious things but still with basic supplies. I'm looking to spend less than $50. I understand this may be vague, but please do your best. Thanks!

  • Is there an advantage to s-rolled gauze over z-pak gauze?

I've put together most of my first aid kit, and I'm just filling in some blanks with a second supply order. I already own 1 z-pak, but I'm looking to reinforce my supplies. On rescue-essentials.com (very low prices), their NAR s-rolled gauze is almost $1 more than a z-pak dressing, however they are both equivalent to 4.1 yards of 4.5 inch gauze. So is there any advantage to the s-rolled gauze, or is it just overpriced?

  • Which was the worse strategic decision in WW2?

I'm studying WW2 right now in school, but I also have done a fair amount of my own research on the topic. One of the things I find most interesting are the poor decisions that were made, so outs of the following, which do you think was the worst (not all are strictly military, but all apply to the war):

-Allies appeasing Hitler in 1938 by giving him the Sudetenland

-Allied failure to act on early signs of war (such as Japanese aggression in the Pacific, German rearmament, etc.)

-US failure to bolster military (especially navy) during the mid-late 30's in preparation for the conflict

-Hitler opening a 2 front war by invading Russia

-Russia trusting Hitler with a nonaggression pact

    -Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor

Feel free to give additional information such as the reason for your choice, but I really don't care if you don't. All answers are appreciated, thanks!

  • Will my first aid kit have trouble with airport security?

I recently put together a fairly comprehensive (but portable) first aid kit. I really didn't have a purpose for it other than being prepared, but I am going to want to bring it when I travel. So will it be ok, or will I have to take anything out?

Here are the contents (only some are worrisome):

-Assorted gauze pads (and roll gauze) and non-stick pads

    -CPR mask

    -Tape

    -Assorted band-aids

    -SWAT tourniquet

    -ACE wrap

    -Emergency Blanket

    -Suture strips

    -0.5 g Triple antibiotic packets

    -Alcohol wipes

    -2.5 g burn jel

    -Trauma shears

    -Metal tweezer

-4 oz. sterile eye wash (saline)

    -Flashlight

I think that's it. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

  • How do you think education (specifically high school) should be structured in the US?

As a high school student (with an obviously biased opinion), I feel that there are some terrible shortcomings in our education system. So I posed the above question. When I say "structure", I mean things like length of the day/year, daily schedules, teacher quality, etc. Obviously this is a VERY open ended question, and I haven't covered all bases for criteria. Please do your best interpreting the guidelines that I've posted, and feel free to add anything you see fit. Thanks!!

  • What components should I include in a trauma first aid kit?

I am currently certified in CPR/AED and First Aid, and I have self taught various advanced first aid concepts (such as tourniquets). As such, I see it as my responsibility to help out anyone who needs it. I want to create a first aid kit specifically dedicated to saving lives after severe accidents (I already have ideas for a basic first aid kit as well) to carry with me during the day in the event I would come across such an accident. I know it's unlikely, but I don't wanna be unprepared, so please help me out.

  • How should I configure my airsoft setup?

I want to start playing airsoft at a local indoor complex. What kind of load out should I have? What about extra mags and batteries for AEG's?

As a reference, I own a spring pistol (I think it's like HG or HK), a gas pistol (Taurus), an electric M4, and a crossman electric pulse mp5. I also hope to buy a p99 and a crossman stinger pistol. Which should I use, or should I buy others? Is it worth it to buy a tactical vest, or will just a holster and sling for the rifle work?

I realize that I threw out a lot of questions, so please just answer anything you can. Thanks!

  • How does one go about getting a pilots license?

I've had an interest in getting my license for some time, but I have no idea how to get it. So what steps do I have to take to do so? Additionally, age might be a problem (Im 15, turning 16 in like 4 months), so what are the restrictions on that? Finally, how long does the training take and what kinds of things is it comprised of?

I know that this is a rather long question, but please answer as much as you can, as anything is appreciated. Thanks!

  • What kind of things should I have for a bug out bag/first aid kit?

I will be driving soon (I'm 15 3/4 now) and I would like to have a first aid kit and some kind of bug out bag to put in the trunk of my car, as I would like to be prepared for anything that might happen to me. So what kinds of things should I stock the first aid kit and bug out bag with (that will be legal for someone of my age)? As a side note, I am CPR/First Aid certified and I would like the kit to be able to go beyond basic care (like cuts and other small lacerations).

  • What are the responsibilities and general details of US Military Doctors?

I have a couple questions, so I'll lay them out:

What kind of responsibilities do drs have in the military? (I.E is it just medical, or is there anything logistics, combat, etc. related)?

    How safe are military doctors?

Do military doctors have respect from those of lower rank, and do soldiers of lower rank have to take orders from doctors?

That will be all. Any information, even partial, is greatly appreciated!

  • What is the likeliness of a hurricane that affects the East Coast?

I remember that last year multiple weather authorities said that hurricanes affecting the east coast were to become more and more likely following Sandy. So are there any official predictions as to whether or not there will be a hurricane in the 2013 season that affects the east coast?

  • For how little money can one obtain a car?

I'm nearing the age at which I will get my drivers license, and I would like to buy a car. I have about $1,000 dollars saved up, and I can expect to receive about $200-$300 through my next birthday and Christmas. I also plan on working next year. So what is the lowest amount of money I should have to buy a car that is fully functional?

  • Is a blood pressure of 120/82 ok for a 15 year old male?

I had a sports physical the other day, and on the sheet it said anything less than like 130/90 was okay, but I've also heard that 120/80 is right on the edge of high blood pressure. So is it high, or should I not be worried? (I passed the physical, and if it helps my resting pulse is 64)

  • How will the NFL recognize or celebrate the 2019 100 yr anniversary of the Bears and Packers?

In 2019, both the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers celebrate the 100 year anniversary of their establishment. Do you think the NFL will recognize/commemorate it in any way? If so, how? In my opinion (as a Packer fan, so it's biased) they should let them play each other on the opening Thursday night game.
