  • Xbox 360 live arcade question?

I just bought the original Fable on the Xbox live arcade, but it won't play! It keeps saying that the disc is dirty or damaged and freezes at that screen (its an old green and black screen)

Has anyone else had this problem?

Is there any way I can resolve this or at least get my points back?

Also my console will not let me load save data. keeps saying that the disc is dirty or damage (only some games do this) but yet it will let me play the disc if I start a new game.

I'm thinking of calling Microsoft if the problem isn't resolved.

  • My dog keeps soiling in the house. How can I fix this?

My dog is a 5 year old Siberian Husky. She is a wonderful dog who we have had since she was about 3 months old.Housebreaking was a bit tough as she was ill as a puppy, but once we got it down it was set in stone.

My problem is within the past year she has decided to start pooping indoors(sometimes urinating too). When I lived in alone in my apartment I just crated her and made it an easy fix (she had always had free roam of the house prior to this) but now that I have moved into a new house with my fiancé she has started again.

She has been pooping in spare bedrooms and only when we leave the house, So I started confining her to our enclosed back porch...only to find she was sneaking into the basement and leaving messes down there too! UGH!

I am so frustrated. I have taken her to the vet and she has a clean bill of health. She is an indoor dog but has access to a backyard most of the day.

It's so frustrating! I just don't know what to do and how to correct a problem that's done when I am not home.

  • what type of dog should I get?

I'm looking into purchasing a puppy in the future. I'm a pretty knowledgeable and experienced dog owner but I was hoping for some insight as there are so many different breeds. Once a few breeds are suggested I will further look into the breed to see if it fits.

So...I'm looking for a small breed dog.

I need a breed who isn't overly active. I take two daily walks with my current dog and visit the park but am not a highly active person.

I'd prefer a short coat, but long hair is ok.

My place of living is cozy but not small.

I'd like a intelligent, easy to train breed.

Something that is generally friendly to strangers (but not necessary) would be a plus as i sometimes take my dog to the nursing home for visits.

    I think that's about it.

what do you have for me?

    Thanks for your time!

  • I need some realtionship advice?

This is going to be long and complicated so please bear with me.

I've been with my boyfriend for about 6 years. Last year in May he asked me to marry him and I accepted. When our realtionship first started it was mushy puppy dog stuff. That was great. then we went thru our "arguing" phase where all we did was yell and argue over stupid crap. We got over that and things were fine. Until recently.

I don't know if I'm in love with him anymore. He never really wants to communicate his feelings, we don't really have any hobbies or anything in common (he's a couch potatoe and I like to be doing something) and our sex drives are very different. Most of the time I initiate intimacy and I feel like i'm forcing it.

Today I asked him for time off from the relationship. I'm so distraught it's making me physically ill. I've been crying non-stop for 3 days.

How do I know if i really love him the same as I used to? We get along fine and have lots of similar interest/likes.

I feel if i'm not in love with him...why is this so hard?

I wonder what else is out there for me, but Im afraid to make a mistake....afraid he wouldn't take me back if i decided to leave.

I really never intended to hurt him...and I do know that I care for him.... oh someone please help me! I feel so terrible!

  • Advice on an offering price.?

I found a home that my fiance and I really like. Majority of the house is in really good shape. it has a nice sized lot in back (not huge but ok) it's 3 bed rooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The furnace is new and the house has been freshly painted and carpeted (hardwood floors downstairs). We are totally in love with the home, even tho it is on a very busy street. It does need newer windows and the siding needs to be updated (wood siding).

That's not our major problem. On our second visit we noticed the roof has a terrible leak. it's running down the chimney and leaving stains on the master bed and halway ceilings. We were dismayed to say the least. The seller is asking 65k. We don't want to pay this. None of the houses on that same street that are for sale are over 50K. What should I ask for? I was considering starting as low as 45k being I have to put at least 5k into roofing the home right away.

I know that 65k in some areas is a steal but in my area (low income) the homes median sell price is 60-90k. the high end being homes in mint condition in perfect neighborhoods or really close to schools.

I need some advice. What should I ask for? Are there any tips to help me get my asking price?

also...My loan does require me to have inspections prior to purchase so I *may* find other problems.

  • Could someone give me more information on Buster's Law?

Pretty Plain and simple question. I've googled it and such but can seem to find it's origin. I'd like to know more about who "Buster" was and what happened to cause this law to come about.

Recently in my area This terrible case came about ( http://www.fox23news.com/news/local/story/Dog-Tort... ) and it mentioned Buster's Law...which led me to this question.

What this person did is an awful....horrid thing and I hope he get's punished to the fullest extent! remember that animal abuse is often an indication of a murderer or serial killer as well! I hope Buster's Law will help keep him away for a long time! Feel free to discuss this case if you've heard anything more about it!

  • Wht can be done about this homebuying situation?

This will be a bit lengthy but please bare with me..... I posted this the other day but got mostly BS.

I'm buying a house thru USDA direct. It's been a long journey and I think I'm finally getting close. Problem is we had an inspection last Thursday that revealed some minor and major problems. The house for the most part is in good condition and most of the minor things are cosmetic. Things like painting, glazing the windows and such. These things I can and will do on my own.

It's the major things I'm having trouble with. First off the water heater exaust pipe is incorrect. It's supposed to go at an upward angle, but goes down into the chimney and isn't sealed properly...this is a carbon monoxide hazzard. Second The elctrical box is behind a large duct and cannot be inspected properly due to location. it's shut off is more than six feet away. Inspector says this will not pass codes! Among the list are also shut off valves and switches that are not in place on water heater and such.

My question is Should the Seller have to fix all this? I know the USDA will not allow a loan with such hazzards. If he won't fix it what will happen? The appraisal was coming out of closing costs....will i have to pay it out of pocket should the contract be dropped? ADD: I read thru my contract and it doesn't say who is responsible for the repairs :(

I'm so confused! It's taken so long to get where I am and I'm scared if I drop this contract I'll have to start from scratch! Please help!

  • Pregnancy: I'm nervous, can you help?

Well....lets just start of with that I am generally nervous about things I don't know much about.

I plan on getting married in September-October 2011. We plan to have a baby sometime after getting married. I really want to have a baby, but am scared of being pregnant! He's already went thru having a child so he seems more at ease with the idea.

Are any of you moms here once in the same predicament? Are any soon to be moms feeling the same way?

I really don't know what I'm afraid of. I love the idea of being a mom and think I'd do a lovely job at it, but I just get so nervous when I think of getting pregnant. Is there anything I can do to help ready myself? I know it seems a bit foolish to worry about it this soon in the game, but any advice would be appreciated!

  • What's going on here? USDA direct loan?

So....the first thursday of September I went to my local USDA office and applied for a direct loan. I brought ALL of the informations with me so I could help speed up the process a bit. EVERYTHING they asked me for I brought. Filled out the application with an employee to be sure it was done correctly.

Now....almost a month later they send me a letter stating that my application has been selected for processing but I still need to send them pay stubs, bank statements, and an agreement for a credit check. I called to be sure there wasn't a mistake.

I gave the stubs and bank statements when i filled the application. I've signed at LEAST two agreements for a credit check!

I feel like i'm jumping hoops and these people are jerking me around! Has anyone else had this problem?

Has anyone else here gotten a USDA direct loan? What was your experience? How long did it take?

I'm so entirely sick of being told to "be patient!" I'm already in contract with a seller and I'm afraid he'll go back on the deal if I don't get results soon.

  • What can I do to help my poor itchy fuzzies?

I have two ferrets. A male and female. Both are altered and descented.

Both are two of the itchiest critters I have ever seen! They have been checked for fleas (negative) and have a clean bill of health from the vet.

I don't bathe them often...only when they get into somthing icky (my male likes to play in the litter box sometimes...eww!) I use yesterdays news for litter.

I've ruled out the obvious so I'm guessing they just like to scratch. They aren't losing any hair. Appetite and hydration are normal.

So...what I want to know is......what can I do? They seem more itchy lately and I want to know if there is anything I can do to help relieve all this itching. maybe a suppliment? or special shampoo?

Please let me know! I just want them to be comfortable!

  • Help with home-buying, haggling and such?

ok...this is going to be a bit long.....

My fiance and I are looking into buying a house. We haven't been pre-approved for very much (the housing in our area is a wide range of $ and some are quite cheap.) but have been qualified for the USDA rural development loan. Does anyone know the interest rate on it? I know it's only a 30 year term (fixed rate)

We found a house we like. It's been on the market for almost a year. Live in condition, but could use a little work as it's been vacant for a year and the roof is at least 15 years old. The price was dropped to 49k. With closing and such the house would be well into 50k which is kinda our "limit" seeing as I want to live comfortable without worry. Would it be ok to offer 40k as a start? The neighborhood is decent but it doesn't really have a yard. 3bd 1 bath.

What are some haggling tactics I can use?

I'm a first time buyer and nervous about taking "the plunge" into all this!!!

I'm taking a second look at the house this coming week and thinking of making the offer....I'm stumped as of what to do next? Do i need a letter from my loan officer to make an offer? Who do i give the letter to?

Sorry to ask so much...I really feel quite dumb. This whole thing is making me a nervous wreck! Please help!

    Thanks in Advance!

  • Some wedding questions?

I just got engaged in May and have started to plan my wedding. We haven't picked an exact date yet, but I know I want to get married in the fall (October) and have an outdoor wedding.

We haven't settled on a place but come fall will be taking trips to see what has good views and prices of the places. We are on a budget....kinda tight as we don't make much money. I don't want anything complicated or large. Will only invite immediate family and close friends.

My question: Do you think it would be acceptable to ask the guests to pay for the buffet at the reception? I'm not asking for gifts or money (tho it's always welcome) but I'm feeling guilty that I should ask for them to pay.

The place I was thinking of charges $26.50 pp for a wonderful buffet. Doesn't seem like a lot, but in hard times like these....

My question is...do you think it's acceptable to have guests reserve a spot and pay for their own meal or should I budget this into my expense? (*grimace*)

I try to think of it form my own perspective....while a free meal would be awesome I'd be more than willing to help out for a friend or family member who wants to get married on a budget in any way I can.

Also...do you have any budgeting tips to help a girl out?

    Thanks in advance!

  • how about a little advice?

I have a couple questions about my dog. I have a 4 year old Siberian husky, who has just recently started to urinate and defecate on the floor when I leave home. I have recently started crating her which helps, but can't figure it all out. She's perfectly health and has a clean bill of health from the vet. I'm thinking this is a behavioral problem as she has started doing this only when I leave the house to run errands and more recently to work.

She doesn't show any signs of anxiety when I prepare to leave for work and none of the tenants have complained of any barking or howling while I am gone. She gets two walks a day at about 20-30mins pending bad weather. I take her to the park or a fenced in yard at least one- two a week for a run or play with other dogs.

She can hold her herself for 8 1/2 hrs while I'm at work, but when I leave for an hour and she's un-crated she messes on the floor several times....even after being let out.

What am I missing? Is there anything I can do...other than crating to fix this behavior?

Also...She has recently started marking places with urine on our walks. She is spayed and has never eliminated on walks before. Any clues as to why she has just picked up this habit?

    Sorry it's so long!

    Thanks in advance!

  • Any special care required with hairless rats?

I just got two little rattie girls yesterday!

I was so excited when I e-mailed her about the cute little hooded dumbo rex that I never did ask about her the cage buddy that was coming with her. I was so surprised when she handed me the little hairless girl! I didn't want a hairless, but it was the only other female she had apart from her breeding females.

I though she was terribly ugly at the time, but took her regardless. She has grown on me already! I was so surprised that i never even thought to ask about any special skin care or cleaning that may be required. Any tips or advice?

Also.....I'd love if you would throw in some names for them! I'd like some "pair" names.....like socks and shoes....nip and tuck....or just anything you think would be nice.

    Thanks!

  • Rat owners...can I have a moment of your time?

I have been reading up on rats for some time now and am thinking of gettin a pet rat soon. I've already (kinda) picked out a female at the local pet shop. She's very cute, mellow and a little shy. She looks to be very healthy....about 6 months old.

Before I buy I would like some tips from those of you who own or have owned rats as pets before. I already have a large cage set up (my old ferret cage) With a litter pan (yesterdays news litter) Water bottle, feeding dish, soft (un-inked) paper bedding, and a blanket for sleeping. Should I add a box for nesting or is the blanket just fine?

I want to know more about a rats behavior/temperament. I know they all have their little quirks, but please tell me, in your experience, how affectionate they are....how much they like to be held and cuddled.

Also.....are these a pet you can take outside? I take my ferrets for walks (rides rather) when the weather is nice and let them socialize with people and get fresh air. Would this be ok to do with a pet rat?

I've read they are very quick to bond to their human. I've also read that people rate them close to dogs on a companionship level. Do you feel that this is true?

Sorry it was so long.....Thanks for your time!

I heard this song twice on the radio and haven't heard it since. I don't know the artist or the title...but the lyrics go a bit like this (bear with me...i've heard it only twice)

"she's my girl, I wanna let you know. she drives me crazy, but you know it's allright!"

I've searched for a good hour or more and just cannot seem to find it. I see someone else asked this question a month ago and it's no been resolved. It's played on kiss FM...which is a pop, hip hop...rap station. Please help!

  • How much out of pocket will I pay?

This is the house I'm looking at. As you can see the housing market in my area is pretty cheap.

    http://brucewardusa.com/sterling46110.htm

Unfortunately due to the economy I'm having trouble Saving large amounts of money for all the closing costs and down payments.

Is there ANY way for me to get this house with paying little to no money out of pocket?

Also I am a first time house buyer. I was interested in the 8k tax thing. Someone told me I have to repay it, but when I looked it up I got several different answers. So which is it? Will the money be directly deducted from the house price or could I use that money as a down payment/closing costs and such?

All your help would be appreciated!

  • What could be wrong with my ferret?

Just recently my older female ferret starting loosing a lot of hair. She looks as if someone shaved or trimmed her back half. I understand that ferrets shed and this is the first year that she will be shedding out her adult coat., but she seems to have become increasingly itchy. In the pas few days she has become more intolerant of her cage mate and wants only to be held (this isn't normal) or sleep in her hammock. She's still eating and drinking, tho not as much as usual.

I have made a vet appointment, but what I was wondering is if anyone knows what this could be or has experience with this? Should I be more worried than I am?

  • Help me find a new friend?

I'm usually a whiz when it comes to dogs, but I'm having trouble picking out my next type/breed of dog. I've always had medium-large sized dogs and now I'm looking for something small. I already have a Siberian Husky and really don't need anymore hair, but if the right breed comes along I am willing to take care of a long coat as I have obvious experience with that.

I'm willing to take two 30 minute walks a day, plus several play times out in the yard with my Husky. I live in a decent sized apartment as well. I have no fenced in yard, so I'd like something that tends to be fairly obedient! Barking is ok, but i do try to stray away from a BIG yapper (i know this is a common thing for small dogs).

Please help me out a bit! If anything else needs to be known ask and I'll reply promptly with additional details!

    Thanks!

  • Have you seen this cruelty story?

    http://albany.craigslist.org/pet/984605745.html

How can people be so cold hearted? How can anyone look at this poor old girls condition and call it legal?

I hope this person suffers greatly for the pain they have caused.

Why do people do this? What a sick human being! It says she is a retired sled dog....imagine how hard it must be to have run free for the first few years, doing your job, then for the past 9 years of you life be caged up in that little place.

    This sickens me!

Sign the petition....make comments! This old girl has no voice...lets give her one!
