My friend says he made a down payment on a car and the payment was returned a few weeks later. He returned the car and he was charged with obtaining property by false pretense. Seems like a lie.

My friend says he bought a car and he didn't return it. Sounds fishy. I don't think that's true at all. What exactly does obtaining property by false pretense mean?

So I think this guy I met lied to me. He told me he was in the military but was medically discharged, he told me he gets 5156 monthly/100 percent disabilty etc etc. He says he's been out for a year now. But he has a simple assault charge, he has a warrant from 2016 for FTA traffic tickets also, in 2016 he was charged with obtaining property by false pretense.

For example, if the charge was for speeding and the bond was 5,000 secured. If an inmate can't make bond. Will that inmate have to wait until the case to go to trial to be released?
