Last night it started appearing in beta. I figured there must have been some website maintenance occurring, but this morning I see that's it still appears in the beta version.

I went on the Guardian's Twitter but there's no mention of this.

I've never been to England before but I'll be in London during Christmastime. I was hoping to catch Arsenal v West Ham on Boxing Day if I able to score some tickets. If I can't get into the Emirates the back-up plan for that day is Fulham v Southampton or QPR v West Brom.

How early are match tickets available to the general public? Is it usually a few months prior and what's the procedure for non-members to acquire tickets from the club's website?

Does a "soundtrack" for Football's Fight Club exist? And, if so, where can I download it?

I am trying to find the song listings for the Channel 4 documentary Football's Fight Club. I recognize about 75% of the songs (The Jam, New Order, etc), but I don't know a few of them. I'd love to put a compilation of those songs together. I'm in the U.S. and watched the documentary on YouTube since we can't get Channel 4 over here.

(Is it true public transportation is shut down on Christmas and most things are closed? Surely London isn't a ghost town on December 25th?)

I am following the progress of my passport application via the DFA's passport tracking. Does issue date refer to the projected date a passport will be issued if an application is successful?

This is the first time I've applied for a passport, so I have no clue how long the process could take. And, I have a trip abroad later this year, so I am hoping the passport is completed and reaches me in time.

I heard Walgreens, FedEx, and CVS won't necessarily able to produce the quality and specifications needed by the Irish passport office. I contacted some private photographers and local photo shops, but the fee they want for four photos seems a little high.

What about Sears Portrait Studios for Irish passport photos? Does anyone have any experience with them in the States? Any other ideas?

I don't want to overpay for photos I could take myself on a digital camera; however, I also don't want my passport photos rejected if I compromise quality just to save money.

I am visiting Dublin in January. I will enter on my Irish passport, but my 8-year-old American son will have a U.S. passport. Will the gardai reprimand me if I bring my son with me in the EU queue?
