  • IE 8 wont open links in a new tab.?

    IE8 is being a brat. under Options in IE8 i have selected to open links in a new tab NOT in a separate window. However, IE8 still continues to open all links in a new window and NOT in a new tab. yes i have restarted my computer - many times. any one have any ideas what's going on?

    also it is not the add-ons because i have tested this in IE8 without add-ons and still had the same problem.

  • i need to know the names of these 2 theories in Anthropology?

    i am ashamed to call myself an archaeologist cause i can not remember these but, there are 2 theories and i can not seem to find the names of them,

    1. the theory that what we as humans do now (behavior wise) is what humans did in the past.

    2. the theory of body types, short and stocky = warmer climate (think Mayans) and tall and thin = colder climate (like the Dutch).

  • What are my rights under Texas law?

    i was rear ended the other day and the estimate may be close to or equal the worth of my car.

    what are my rights under TX law? i do not want them to total my car as it drives perfect, all i want is the damage repaired. i feel like i am getting screwed because some guy wasn't paying attention.

    how am i legally protected against them totaling my car but still paying for the repairs regardless of the cost?

  • Replacing Condensor and Evaporator Coils in AC unit?

    How much should this cost? we were given the quote of $3600 for our new home, however i had my entire indoor and outdoor unit replaced for less then HALF that 9 years ago on my condo and it works fantastic still...so i know that wasn't a cheap job.

    anyone have an idea if this is a good price for this job?

  • Where to stay in Galveston?

    I know many of you will say go somewhere else cause Galveston sucks, but quite frankly i love Galveston! its one of our states most beautiful historic cities! the problem is, the City's offical website sucks...although better then Madagorda Bay's...

    i would like to stay somewhere on the "strand" or "historic" distric for the 4th of july weekend. we do not like cheap but we also do not like over priced (ie Harbor House on Pier 21)! So if there are any locals out there who know a great place on the strand in the 150 a night range i'd love to hear your opinion, and maybe a few helpful links!
