  • I'm not looking to bash anyone, but...?

I'm just really curious as to how "born again" Christians interpret James chapter 2, verses 14-26.

Again, I'm not looking to bash. I just can't see this one through "born again" eyes.

    Thanks.

  • Potiphar's wife?

Do you think that if potiphar's wife had known that her story would have been known throughout history, she would have acted differently; or would she have gotten a tattoo on the small of her back and owned up to it.

If you're completely confused see Genesis chapter 39.

  • Trigger question?

I'm looking for an aftermarket trigger that will fit on my model 1917 Enfield. I'm trying to replace the military style two-stage trigger that it currently sports with a softer one-stage trigger. In the past I've tried to put a Timney trigger on it, but it went off every time the stock was bumped. I'm just wondering if it is even possible to do what I am attempting, and how I would do it if it is.

  • To mainstream christians, what event do you believe ended revelation?

I'm talking about revelation through the prophets. So, Christ called His twelve, who were prophets, as their writings are kept in the bible. When Judas was killed, he was replaced, Paul at some point was called to be an apostle after Christ's ascension. Then around AD 70 it all stopped. I want to know what event caused that revelation through the prophets to cease. I also wouldn't mind knowing what event caused temple worship to cease around the same time.

  • Which acid dissociation constant would I use?

I'm trying to find the concentration of all the species present after a 0.10 M solution of oxalic acid is added to water. The problem is that there are two acid dissociation constants, one is 6.5x10^-2 and the other is 6.1x10^-5. Would I use one, the other, or both?

  • Returned missionaries, how did your mission change your life?

I will be leaving on my mission this summer, and I want to hear about how you were different than when you left.

  • If you were to make up your own church to get gain, how would you do it?

My seminary teacher, about a year ago asked me this same question, at the time I said that I would say "If you join my church, I'll make all of your wildest fantasies come true."

I think, in addition to this, I would preach an "alternative" translation of Genesis 28:22 (among other scriptures) in which instead of a tenth, my church members would be commanded to give an eighth.

At that point, I would essentially set up a pyramid scam, in which I would take ten percent of the money that I take in and make the smartest contributors' wildest dreams come true. I would take the remaining two and a half percent for myself and hope that the intellectually inferior would forget the promise that I made to them.

I just want to know how you would do it.
