One of my best friends knows that I have a crush on this guy we both know. He was dating a girl in another town but they recently broke up. I am hoping that now that he is available that he will be interested in me.

My friend know this guy because she had an affair with one of his best friends that went on for years and years. She finally ended the affair a couple of years ago because she finally realized she was wasting her life and that he was never going to leave his wife.

Yesterday at lunch she said that perhaps she she should go out with the guy I have a crush on, that it would serve his friend, her old lover, right. She later said she wouldn't do that.

I am a little hurt that she would say that knowing I have had a crush on this man for quite awhile but have just never acted on it out of respect that I knew he was dating someone.

I have no intention of ending the friendship but am I right to feel irritated with her? If she brings it up again should I say as much?

I had the girls over last night for our monthly Bunko Game. We have a potluck meal and the Hostess (me) makes the main course. I made a batch of pulled pork Bar-B-Q which was a big hit. I live on a kind of tight budget and had planned to eat the left overs this week-end. When everyone was getting ready to leave one friend asked for some foil. When I turned around she had a plate with two sandwiches piled high with meat. She informed she was taking them home to her husband. I think that was extremely rude especially since she always takes any of her leftovers home with her. Am I right or is it ok to do that without asking the person who made the food?

I current have a palm pilot (without phone in it) that I use for all my appointments and addresses. My cell phone is a razor and I usually only use it for phone calls and a occasional text.

Do you think I should keep the current set up or switch to a Blackberry and use it for both phone and appointment?

Also I don't use either one for the internet so I don't really need part of a service plan.

We haven't had sex in so long I won't even say it. Don't sugget a friend w/ benefits because I won't cheat on him.

About 3 years ago I was running 4 days a week for a total of about 12-15 miles. 4 years ago I trained and then ran a half marathon. I have been lazy for awhile and at the moment I can run around a mile, walk a few minutes and run another one, but not fast like I could before.

I don't think I ever want to run a half marathon again because the training seemed to take the joy out of running. I would like to once again be competative in my age bracket in a 5k or 10k.

I am 46 (female) and have also added some pounds. What is the best way to get back into it with our burning out or injury?

We are considered middle to upper middle class. One grown child, one will be a senior in high school. We are very comfortable but we also try to live conservatively. What do you think we should expect if there is a recession or even a depression?
