I used to only do cardio, and I lost quite a bit of weight doing that, however my body kind of looked the same as when I was fat, but with less overall volume. I was told that I should go to the gym to make my body look better. I've been going to the gym around 5 days/week for 2 weeks, and I've gained 5 pounds and I look overall a but bulkier. I know that this is like the dream of some people who go to the gym but that's not what I want. I'm not anywhere near my ideal weight yet, all I want is to lose weight, so my question is:

Will going to the gym just make me bulkier and heavier? I know that it's normal to gain a couple of pounds at first but a friend of mine says he gained ~ 20 lbs. of muscle, and he just looks fat right now.

If what I want is mainly to slim down, will going to the gym be counter-productive?

I do circular training where I transition quickly between different workouts in the gym that exercise my body overall, is this wrong?

Thanks for your help, everyone I know keeps repeating "Of course you'll lose weight of you go to the gym." They might be right but that's not what I've seen so far.

I know there's a way that involves rolling a dice that determines which table to look at, then another roll to determine the exact item, or something if the sort. No Idea what

I can't believe no one is explaining this simply on the internet. I have a very simple C++ project I want to show to my friend. The only library I included is is <iostream>. Most of the solutions I saw said things about changing your library to a static library which kept my program from compiling in the first place. I don't mind the program increasing in size and automatically including the library, and I can't find the option to compile a release version.

Bottom line, I want to send a perfectly working .exe file to my friend.

I just finished reading Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide and Children of the Mind. I want to know in which order should I start reading the rest of the novels in the universe. I'm most interested in continuing on with the timeline if possible preferrably with Peter or Miro's story after Children Of The Mind. If there are no books after it in the timeline then please describe a good reading order that would make sense because I have no Idea where to start and they all seem unrelated anyway, even the author says there is no preferred reading order.

I don't want a lot of special effects I just want a simple and easy software that would let me do straightforward things like EASILY add text to the video maybe a picture or a graphic somewhere. If you've watched any news YouTube video this is basically what I want. I will have raw footage and I want a software that will let me cut out the useless silences and add in a couple of titles or bullet-points to the video for a specific duration.

PLEASE NOTE: I know that practically any video editing software does this but I want one that dos it simply and easily. It doesn't have to have a lot of complex features that I won't use.

I just finished reading the farseer trilogy, which trilogy or series should I read next. I'd prefer one that carries on after Fitz's story, since I know that one of them talks about dragons that might be possible. the LiveShip trilogy doesn't seem interesting since I don't care much about ships. Can I read the tawny man trilogy without the Liveship trilogy or will I be missing something ? Last but not least, is the Rain Wilds trilogy set in the same universe, if so do you recommend I read it before or after The Tawny Man trilogy ?

I just "Stabbed" my palm with my keys unintentionally, I slammed on the table while holding them and apparently one of them broke skin because I started bleeding, not a lot of course. I noticed that it looked a little greysish but I dismissed that thinking I might have bruised it too. I put a band-aid on and just removed it now, about 4 hours later and there's a decently big (size of a mole) grey patch under the skin that was cut. This is only 4 hours after it so I'm kinda freaked out..

I used to run new games at around 150fps with v-sync off, but some recent games are actually starting to tax my PC in a weird way, I don't even know why. While skyrim runs at a constant 60fps (cant turn vsync off) something like Tomb Raider runs at 50 in Ultimate settings and drops to 30 in certain areas. Crysis 3 runs at about 15fps with best settings, I get 60fps if I only lower the AA. I have a good bit of money saved up and since I'm not going to buy the PS4 or the new XBox I want to know which of these specs seem to be the most "outdated" or are the ones that affect my performance. In other words, how can I run crysis 3 at 60fps.

I honestly don't know what's going on. Here are my specs:

This is wierd. Since I have the EXACT "Max" requirements and I pass the Recommended by alot. And it's not that it rins with like 20 FPS. IT LITTERALLY runs with 9 fps. I don't know what's going on, I've been able to run other games like I suspect they would. ffs I run DmC at 250 fps . It's not even pirated. I had to wait around 20 hours for origin to download it on my 200kB/s speed for it to run at 9 fps. My HDD is not failing , not even that loaded. Only had this PC for about 4 months. CPU load isn't alot but the issue I believe is with the GPU , it gives arounf 99% activity , which is wierd , since it's the strongest AMD GPU, and listed as the best GPU along with the 680 to play crysis on .... I'm sad as ****

I just finished the Hunger Games trilogy, and as a guy I'm ashamed to admit that my favorite part of the story was the romance and how it developed during and because of the events . The only thing that annoys me is that it was written from a girls point of you. I'm not homophobic but I can't really enjoy a story when the main character keeps blabbing about how his Big Strong arms make her feel .

So can you recommend a couple of romance novels that are not necessarily from a guy's point of view but at least aimed at guys ? (Don't mind anything erotic)

P.S: I've searched and found a lot of people recommending Dear John . But it seems more like a psychological war drama which is not my thing :) Thanks in advance

I can't even sleep because of how good this anime is and how deep it hit me . And although the ending was good I hoped the anime would have been a little longer, then I discovered that in the novels there was another completely different game than SAO and ALfheim online , Gun gale online I think it was , so all in all , What did I miss and is it worth picking up the novels ? If so , can you tell me which ones to read if I don't want to reread the stuff that happened in the anime . It's bad enough I had to read the first two volumes of A Song Of Ice And Fire knowing exactly what happened :)

I played the visual novel and loved it , then heard it has a couple of sequels . I know there's an anime that follows a specific route but that's not the one I'm talking about , I heard there are other visual novels that continue or follow the story of this one , can you please list them in chronological order preferably with a Download link (English if possible )

I just assembled this PC a couple of weeks ag and since day one it's making some wierd noises , not the kind of noises that means that the HD is failing because their not consistent , every now and again perhaps with mor eor less 30 second intervals one "Click" or squeal will come out , very short and high pitched , it sounds like nothing so I want to make sure , Normally I wouldn't notice it but my Tower is actually ON the desk very clost to me not under it , so if the room is quiet I hear every single noise it makes , and if I want to concentrate that uncommon click breaks my concentration.

P.S: I know the sound of a failing HD cause it happened to me before , and it doesnt sound like a fan because as I said it's not consistent it happens twice every minute.

P.P.S : The sound is veery similar to the clicking sound the computer makes when you shut it down.

I'm new to the workd of visual comics but I absolutely loved katawa shoujo , it was brilliant , I enjoyed it more than actual games it was an amazing experience.

But having finished the initial route (I will play several other times but nothing beats Emi :) ) I find myself looking for another visual novel.

I would like it to be romantic , no Action , action is made for animes. Anyway , so romantic , not necessarily a dating sim but I don't mind , and it doesn't HAVE to contain H-scenes , but I don't want it to be prude either.

More importantly legally english (as in no fan made translations) and DL link :)

Why is the release date different on steam than on everywhere else , not just IGN .

You'd think that someone already asked this , but not the way I mean...

I watched Naruto , bleach , code geass , fma , soul eater , champloo , shaman king , yu-gi-oh (first generation only ofc) , and a bunch of other animes , and seeing as bleach is over and I hate watching only 1 episode per week for Naruto and Fairy Tail (oh yeah , also fairy tail :) I'm looking for another anime which has epic fighting scenes

And I mean EPIC. The only anime i've watched that actually had GIGANTIC epic bad-*** superpowerful townwrecking earth-shaking battles bas Bleach (and naruto sometimes) . And I cant find another anime like that , I want to find an anime that has epic moments and epic fighting scenes , scenes that make you say "WTF did he just do? " I tried starting Katekyo Hitman Reborn , but it seems too childish and doesnt seem like it contains many fighting scenes , so unless the story is Incredible like Death Note , i want it to have epic fights

Please bear in mind that its not because im a child or sth that i ask this , but for me , Anime's are meant for epic fights , I have How I mwt your mother for comedy and I hate romance and horror so im not interested in purely funny or romantic animes (although Fairy Tail does a good job of combining the 3)

In Conclusion : I need an anime that is truesly awesome , that has fights you could never have imagined in the begining , the same way you never though Ichigo could beat a Lieutenant let alone Aizen.

Also , should I bother continuing KHReborn , first 7 episodes are boring as **** ,

P.S : I also watched HxH and it is by far the best one i have ever watched , It has evrything i ask for in here , Epic fighting scenes and the such , so if you don't exactly understand my question : I want an anime EXACTLY like HxH (im watching the 2011 remake so dont suggest it troll)

It's because of skyrim , I have a lvl 43 Mage a lvl 29 sneak and I want to play them on the PC , and I'm not keen to the Idea of starting a character that I already have all over again, because not only will I be playing quests I have already finished , but with characters I already have . So is there a way , official or not , no Convert a ps3 savegame to PC.

It seems possible , a program that reads the ps3 savefile and craetes one in PC format with the same exact detail , so if your ps3 save file said you have a lvl 20 warrior with X items , the program simply creates a savegame with these same characteristics

Before you get mad , just hear me out , I watched the 2 seasons of Game of Thrones and since I have just finished The Name Of The Wind , and it's sequel is not yet sold where I live , I'm trying to find a good book to read in the Summer , and i thought , what better than the books that gave us Game of thrones , thing is , I watched the 2 seasons and i know the obvious answer is yes , but my question is :

Are the books good/intriguing enough that I will keep reading even if I know what's going to happen , or will I feel as if I'm doing a chore just so I will be able so go ahead of the series ?

I used to play by the book until i heard someone mention something about auto auto-attacking , where you shift+click somewhere and your champion attacks anything that comes into range until where you clicked , and this has been extremely useful for me when playing ad Kog mid , cause with his AS i dont need to try and last hit , he already last hits everything , and i heard about something called Smart Casting and dunno what that is , so can someone tell me all the little gameplay tricks there is in LoL ?

I (and im not exaggerating here) LOVED final fantasy XII , nd i realize it was not the most crowd pleasing game but ive played every FF game to date and 12 was my favorite one , im my opinion , it even beats all of Bethesda's game cause its got a really long and incredibly immersive and interesting story (anthat'sts coming from a guy who spent about 170 hrs on skyrim ) . And normally , when i heard that white knighChronicleses played the same way i would've jumped on the chance , but as i said before one of the biggest things that made me love FFXII was the large large LARGE open areas the LARGE cities and the shitload of interesting characters you meet ... seriously i played it when it first came out and i swear to this day i remember all of the characters vividly , so i wanna know , overall , from an rpg players point of view , is it a good game , knowing what i told you before ?
