It's from Lincoln's 2nd inaugural address. I know it's something, but I don't know what it is:

"...until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said "the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.""

I just want to know what the first part is. I know the lash refers to the cruel treatment of slaves and the sword is the slaves fighting back, or supporters of equality. What is the rhetorical device used in the first part?

I'm pretty sure nothing will happen but my girlfriend is freaking out about it so can you guys clear this up?

My girlfriend and I were fooling around a little (we agreed awhile ago not to have sex yet) and i was on top of her and she took my penis and just put the tip touching her vagina. No penetration, and I wasn't pre-ejaculating at the time. But she's terrified the pre- from earlier (which was wiped off and gone) was still on the tip and had sperm in it and she's afraid it got her pregnant. Can you get pregnant from a tiny amount of pre*** and no penetration? We're both virgins if that makes a difference, and her last period was 2 weeks ago.

We've been together for about a month and half now and I know it seems short but we were FWB before that so we've actualy been together for about 4 months. Anyway I really care about her and I like her so much.

Before break, she said she's going to take Spring Break to just think about us and she asked me to give her space. I went to her house and we talked about it and she seems so upset and confused about everything and she won't give me a straight answer when I asked things like "Are you losing feelings for me?" Or "Should I not have come?" She's never fallen in love before and I have a couple times so I told her that might be it because love tears people up the first time... However, she says she doesn't want to break up when I asked her that.

But not talking to her is. KILLING. ME. I'm all for giving her space and I tried to brace myself for this, but she said she'll text/call me if she wants to talk and we've barely had a conversation since break started on Friday. All I want to do is contact her and tell her how much I care about her and I don't want to lose her but I know that's not a good idea. And most of you are probably are going to tell me to just stay off of it and give her the space she needs which I plan on doing no matter how much it hurts.

But can someone give me some hints as to what's going through her head and what I can do do cope with this isolation??

What do u think about happy trails? I have one and my gf thinks its sexy but I've heard more cons than pros. For whoever doesn't know, a happy trail is a trail of hair from a guys chest going down below his belly button and sometimes ends in a tuft, which is what mine does. Yay or nay?

ok, so i had a shuffle and that synced fine because i got itunes the same time i got that ipod. Now i just got a 4th gen ipod touch and it won't sync to my itunes library. It doesn't even list under devices on my itunes, which means my itunes can't see it either. How do I get it to sync to my library???

I really want one. I've played piano all my life and i want to be able to play outside where i dont have to plug anything in. Where are keytars sold outside of the internet, or what stores can special order them? I'm looking for places I can buy them, not websites that ship please.

It used to work fine. But now when I go on YouTube and start a video, the video just stays black even though I can hear it. I can see the comments and everything, it's just the video thats black. Although it sounds like the video is playing fine. How can I fix this?

I'm jc how everyone else thinks. I'm not totally against it, cuz I've done it before. If she's into it, I'll do it with her. what do u guys think?

We played this in my 8th grade band on mallet instruments. It was SOOOO fun and I think we sounded pretty good. It's Clocks by Coldplay.
