Do they have proof of our existence? Have we kidnapped some of them for experiments?

How do they respond when their religious ministers say that we don't exist and that their god has made them the center of the universe?

How do they respond when atheists among them say that the lack of evidence regarding our existence is an indication that we don't exist?

I got this idea from an old Rowan Atkinson skit.

My question:

I dreamt that I was a scientist who came up to the conclusion that the earth was flat. I presented my bold theory to the the various journals around the world.

The ruling system however, believed that the world is round. Soon, I was getting a lot of feedback from other people. It seemed the ruling system got hold of my study and summoned me to their fortress.

As I arrived, I was quickly rushed to a chamber. I realized I was being put into trial.., for.. heresy.

The trial went on as the ruling system planned it. I was stripped of my title, my license, and my social welfare benefits, then sent to jail.

They told me that they were being generous, because they originally planned for me to be beheaded.., on world TV.

While in jail, I reviewed my theory.., and still arrived with my original conclusion. Soon I was informed that the sentence for me has been modified.. I was going to be beheaded after all..

The day of my execution finally arrived.. As I was escorted down the guillotine, the scene changed..

I was in the living room eating popcorn, conversing with a goat and a sheep on how the present system of governance is inefficient in meeting the needs of the population. The sheep proposed a solution, then me and the goat both agreed..

Then I woke up. I tried to remember the data that led me to conclude that the earth was flat.. I could not remember them.., but they were so real when I was dreaming. I also tried to remember the solution proposed by the sheep.. I could not remember it either..

Weird.

What was the religion of the characters?

I'm sorry, I lost my copy of Ghost. I can't remember anymore.. all I remember completely was the clay-molding scene and some little bits.

I remembered asking this because the spirits fetching the souls of the dead looked nothing like angels nor demons. Plus, I always mistake Whoopy's character for her other character in "Sister Act".. It is confusing, really.

I'm not sure how many they are. Are there anyone here in R&S who have all of those cats in their contacts?

Suppose a great miracle happened and everyone witnessed it.. And I mean everyone, even the atheists.. Now, the miracle is so great and noble that people began to live better and noble lives ever since that miracle happened.

The catch is.., it was actually Lucifer who made the miracle and not Jesus. Would we still rejoice?

What if:

We humans are not his primary creations? Suppose we are just part of the countless list of creatures he just utilizes for the betterment of his primary creations(say, advanced alien beings), which he, it turn, utilizes for his "greater glory". Suppose the "free will" he gave us was just an illusion after all, and his conviction of him being a good god was a deception all along.., all of that as part of his elaborate "divine plan" to save his beloved creatures (the advanced alien beings, not us).., Suppose we are just utilized as just simple proteins, amino acids, bacteria.. no different from the microorganisms in our bodies that allow us to live. Suppose we are just cattle all along for alien consumption.

Will we still worship that "god" that created us? Will we still do our role for his "greater glory"? Will we still cling on to our illusions that we are going to be "saved", for whatever that means? Will we still joyfully rejoice in his name for every good thing and ask for respite from every bad thing, when we already know that all those things were planned right from the start as part of an even bigger plot that does not concern us anymore?

A lot of R&Sers have cats as their avatars.. Is the cat some sort of symbolism to represent wisdom and intellect?

This is still a bit shady to me.. When Lucifer decided to go up against the supreme god, was he planning to supplant the supreme god? Was he trying to overthrow god so that it will be him that would reign supreme?

Or was he just trying to free himself from the clutches of a god that he no longer believes in? Was he so disgusted at how god was running the show, that he decided to make some reforms in the whole thing?

The most media-savvy religions of today always had a big bad demon to complement/emphasize their supreme god's alleged "goodness".. But up to now, I am still not sure about the nature of his antagonism towards the supreme god.. I mean, yes, the defenders of these religions will always contend that the devil got what he deserved because of his evils.. And for sure they will credit the devil for making me ask this "mischievous" question..

Did Lucifer orchestrate an uprising to supplant god? Or did he do it so he can be banished therefore be free from the clutches this god? Remember, god controls all the press at that time and place.., the inspired writers who wrote the bible..
