This is a follow-up to someone else's question. And I'm kind of getting tired of hearing it and wonder if it's not a waste of my time to even do this, but I can't help myself. And, I don't even know if this is allowed but here I go. I was surprised to hear that the answer was -- if there is not a receiver, there is no sound. Can someone please explain that to me. I can understand how that is true in electronics but outside of that -- I just don't get it. My theory is -- sound is sound-- it's there whether we hear it or not. Just as images are there whether we see them or not and sensations are there whether we feel them or not. Unless someone can convince me otherwise -- I'm sticking to my theory.

I say this because I am tired to people referring to witches as being satan worshipers. Now, I am a Catholic but my great grandmother was Wiccan. To those of you who insist that witches worship the devil -- they don't even believe in the devil. I have known several wican people and believe me they are some of the finest people I have ever met. With a belief system of Do No Harm, how can they be anything but peaceful loving people.

There was a lady who could not get a date. For the life of her she couldn't figure out why. So she decided to make an appointment with her physician, Dr. Chin.

The next day, while in his office, she explained her ordeal to Dr. Chin, and he was very sympathetic. After a few moments of contemplation he asked the lady to remove her clothing for closer examination. She did as she was told.

I wonder just how successful Obama would have been if Oprah Winfrey would not have announced her support for him. She is indeed a powerful woman and I wonder how many people would have really stood up and took notice if she was not in the picture.

I hope I remember enough information to even ask this question. A month or so ago there was something on the news about Obama saying one thing in his campaign speeches and then saying something else to the Canadian goverment. Is there anyone out there that remembers what I am talking about? They only talked about it in the media for a brief time and then it seemed to fade away without further reference. Can anyone refresh my memory? Thanks

I am looking for a place to savely dispose of the energy efficient light bulbs. They apparently have mercury in them and should be handled carefully and disposed of properly. I have been advised that there are now newer bulbs available with a much lower "dose" of mercury. My concern still continues as the bulbs that I have in my home are quite old. As you probably know they last for quite sometime. Mine are at least three years old. So if there are others like me out there, we still need to find a safe way to dispose of our older energy efficient light bulbs. So if anyone knows of a place near Baltimore, Maryland, please share. I stopped meninstrating about four years ago. I didn't really have a problem with hot flashes at that time. But it seems like here lately I am experiencing a lot of "fluxuation." What I mean is I am extremely hot one minute and cold the next. It's like my thermostat is off. Any suggestions what might be going on. I don't see my gynocologist until August I thought I'd put this question out.

I just recently learned that the new energy saving light bulbs need to be handled with care and disposed of properly. It seems these bulbs contain mercury. I know that the Ikea stores will take them but would like to know if there are other sites.
